Embacy provided us with several design ideas and a website design that reflected our company's culture. As a PE/VC fund company, we focus on technology investment and growth with our portfolios. Embacy used all the illustrations to link with our company's values. They also used lines and illustrations together with our company's theme.Moreover, since we are based in Hong Kong, Embacy added some of our Chinese traditional culture inside the concept, which made our brand material more special. The team delivered a complete website design and brand guidelines.

We just launched the website yesterday, and it brings a new image to our audiences, breaking the old stereotype we had. We’ve received good comments, but also some feedback on the color palette. We’re planning to add a new section, and we’ll keep gathering comments.

Embacy has delivered on time. Due to the time difference, we may have the feeling that they’re slow, but they’re not.Our primary form of communication is virtual meetings.

The rebrand elevated how Kinescope presents itself globally. We now have a flexible, modern, and cohesive identity that reflects who we are today and where we're heading - an ecosystem of products that complement and strengthen each other. The new visuals, layouts, and digital materials allowed us to communicate our value with greater clarity and confidence. The website launch went smoothly, and the design system now supports our product and marketing teams in day-to-day work. The collaboration felt inspiring, productive, and genuinely collaborative.

Regarding the measurable outcomes, it's a bit early to judge. Future performance in our customer acquisition and customer experience will show. 

However, we really like the brand identity Embacy developed for us. The new website looks really great, trustworthy, and informative. More than that, the Admin Panel's UI/UX was really supercharged!

Embacy showed great empathy in their understanding of our brand and design needs. They quickly managed to grasp the core of who we are and what fits us. What is further impressive is that they are incredibly flexible and always open to new suggestions or last-minute changes.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Embacy could have done differently?

Communication over Slack is great: It ensured we could respond to each other and work together extremely fast and over various timezones. The only downside is that sometimes the overview was a bit lost due to the many changes during the project. We as clients were to blame for that at least as much however due to our requests :-).

Quality of designs and flexibility

Are there any areas for improvement or something Embacy could have done differently?

While the overall project was a success, a few aspects could be refined. At times, it would have helped to double-confirm concepts to avoid remote communication gaps. There were several bugs with video animations, and it would have been ideal if more internal testing had been conducted before delivery. Moving designs from Figma to Canva also added some extra steps. Perhaps offering an option to rebuild on the client’s platform could streamline this. Lastly, while most designs hit the mark, the quality of LinkedIn post and T-shirt designs felt a bit off. A bit more focus on high-priority deliverables over lower-priority ones would be beneficial for maintaining quality across the board.

Overall, the experience was fantastic, with minor areas for growth that could take the process from great to exceptional.

One area where Embacy could potentially improve is balancing their sprint-based approach with the overall project workflow. Their focus on communication during these sprints is fantastic, as it keeps everything aligned and moving forward. However, it can sometimes be a bit demanding on our team’s bandwidth, as we had to dedicate a lot of time and energy to these intense feedback loops. 

While it’s great for ensuring top-notch results, it occasionally took a toll on other tasks we were juggling. A bit more flexibility or spacing out the sprints could help relieve that pressure without losing the quality of collaboration.
