The project delivered continously. We had an Agile aproach and did adjustments during the whole project dependent on the feetback from the end user. The end user got value early in the project and after the project ended the client keeps the same setup as in the project for continous development of the platform.

We wanted to develop a productive application for one of our clients to track medication sales and distribution.

What was the scope of their involvement?

eLuminousis has helped us develop an iOS and Android mobile app for our client. It is an industry-specific app, so it isn’t available to the general public. Initially, we provided them with the design, the backend functionalities required, and the data analysis we expected, and they’ve been in charge of developing and maintaining the app since.

As for its features, the app allows sales representatives to provide information about their work throughout the month, including the number of medications they’ve sold, which clients they’ve sold those medications to, and the account information of those clients.

This app includes a web portal that eLuminous has built on AWS. This portal receives the information in real time and creates a database, allowing managers and administrators to see all that data in one place.

We work with 4–5 people from eLuminous, including a mobile app developer, a web developer, a configuration and maintenance manager, an account manager, and a machine learning expert who comes into the project occasionally.

We started working together in October 2021, and eLuminous completed the app in April 2022. However, they still provide maintenance services.

The quality of eLuminous’ work is really good. Although we’ve encountered some challenges along the way, we’ve been able to solve them promptly. Our customer’s feedback has been really good too. Their sales representatives find the app very easy to use, allowing them to submit their reports quickly and streamlining their processes overall.

How did eLuminous Technologies Pvt Ltd perform from a project management standpoint?

eLuminous is very good at meeting deadlines; they meet them 90% of the time. The occasions on which they haven’t met the deadlines were caused by requirement changes or holidays, which were expected hurdles.

Additionally, they provide excellent support. I’m my client's main point of contact, but eLuminous’ team gets involved in the conversation when we need their technical input. We use different channels to communicate, but WhatsApp is the most efficient way for us.

eLuminous is very dedicated. When they start a project, they eagerly try to complete it to the best of their abilities, which is great. Additionally, they’re very responsive to our requests and try their best to solve any issues we face.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Every company always has room for improvement, but eLuminous has been very good overall. If anything, it would be great if they improved their UI/UX design skills. Although they weren’t involved directly in the design process, their implementation of those designs wasn’t great at times.

Keep asking them questions and have open communication regarding your requirements. eLuminous is great at working independently, but engaging with them on every step of the project will facilitate them to do a fantastic job.
