My Organisation decided to convert an old MS Access database to an on-line web based App. We had tried a number of local developers unsuccessfully and were concerned that the old Access code was going to be too out of date and difficult for a developer to work with.
We canvassed a number of potential individuals and companies for quotes but were impressed with the detailed quote provided by Dotsquares. The company has offices in Australia where we are based and we met face-to-face with the Australian team initially which we found very helpful in clarifying our needs. We opted to deal direct with the Indian-based team for the project.
The Dot-squares development model is very highly structured using a combination of regular video conferences, very detailed documentation where the project is broken down into discrete stages and the provision of a live testing environment allowing detailed feedback from the client. They use user-friendly set of online tools to keep track of all communications and project milestones and progress.

One factor which initially attracted us was that the Dotsquares code is certified to meet international coding standards and is very well documented. The built-in security features were also important to us. The project proved much more complex that we initially expected but we have now competed Stage 1 to our compete satisfaction. This took around 4 months.
We were highly impressed right through the build with the expertise of the team what developed our site. The website design is very attractive but simple and the user interface is very intuitive with many features which would not have occurred to us but which enhanced the usability of the site. The Team consists of a number of specialised developers including UI, Database developers, Web set-up team and lead by an overall coordinator.
The advantage is we had access to a skill set which no single developer could have provided. We were in weekly direct contact with the coordinator via video conference and this worked very well to clarify requirements and provide detailed feedback on the various stages of the build.

We were very happy with the final result. In retrospect, we could have improved the project from our end by providing more detailed requirements. There was quite a learning curve for us as we had no previous background in developing database web software,. However, Dotsquares were very professional in their approach and very skilled in figuring out what we needed based on what information were were able to provide.

After an initial impression which, to be honest, was disappointing, I was lucky to have Apurv come on board alongside Sudeep and Gunjan, Ravi, Rohan, Bhalla, Banti, Deepak and the rest of the team. They have all gone above and beyond to understand and create a fantastic mobile and soon-to-be web app. I have already recommended them to a lot of people to them and I don't think this could have been done without the whole team effort.
