I am one of the owners of Dmlab, a data science consulting, training and development company. We believe in the power of data. We love challenges. We build custom solutions to solve important problems.

We have entrusted the Done team with the renewal of our corporate website. We have worked with another team in the past, but unfortunately we have not been able to work with them. During the project, our goal was to create a modern website that can present the area, the customers, the business solutions we are working on. We also set the goal that the development of the website and its uploading with continuous content could take place in-house.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

At the beginning of the project, we asked for bids from several companies, including the Done team. We did not choose them in the first round, but unfortunately we did not work with the selected team. In the meantime, the specification of the site was completed in-house: structure, content, processes, etc. We approached Done with this ready-made package because their professionalism and previous work were compelling.

In a kick-off meeting, we presented the completed concept to the Done team. Subsequently, a wireframe was made for us from the related subpages. Then the design concept was made by designing the main page. Following the adoption of the main page, the subpages were created. During the process, they responded openly and professionally to all our proposals for change or refinement.

A project manager was our main point of contact throughout the process. We can work together a dedicated designer and some full stack developers behind the scene.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Part of the project was to migrate a blog running on another platform to the upcoming website. A few weeks after the launch of the new page, our new page ran with the previous number of visitors and we were able to increase the number of visitors after that. The number of leads coming through the site also exceeded the previous ones.

Communication with the team took place along milestones. In addition, they were open to our questions and requests at any time. The meetings were usually attended not only by the project manager, but also responsible for the given work phase, which greatly facilitated the fact that in case of a question, we examined several options and thus made the decision.

Their attitude, their partnership, their design and implementation works. They worked with very high expectations and high quality in everything.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

While using the new site, some extra addition ideas came up that were immediately addressed. Really rare and minor bugs have also been fixed in a very short time.

I'm the CEO of a translation company. We have 2 locations in Europe; our HQ in Munich and we are just opening in Budapest. We sell 90% of our services to the DACH region and started our business in 2015.

We entered at first the German market, so the entry level was very high. We needed a complete e-business solution, which could produce us profit from the beginning. I was made aware of Zsombor's company through word-of-mouth advertising by a friend of mine in 2015.

We needed a strong IT contributor, who is always available, - first of all, if we have problems or new ideas - and operates on a Western European service level: Our goal was to have a long-term partnership.

I was not an e-business entrepreneur, but a good friend got me into this circle where I met the newborn DONE. Team. I realised, that these people can solve my problems and can also finish bigger IT projects which we where dreaming about.

They designed and developed our WP based webpage with an integrated online price calculator. This integrated application gives immediate (human-) translation prices for uploaded documents. The card payment was also just integrated and operates smoothly with PayPal.

I had 2 PM's, UX designers, graphics designer and more senior and junior developers working with me in the last 6 years. All the stuff is always kind and very nice to work with!

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We were able to launch our webpage with the integrated application first in Germany and it went through without any major defaults and negative customer feedbacks which was very impressive. The online price calculator application has reduced the quote giving process from 30 min down to 5 min.

Communication is fast and very easy with the PM. We prefer email communication and this works smooth. They are proactive and they call us if there is an answer missing. We like this very much.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They transform our ideas into working solutions. No bugs - okay sometimes, but then they solve it quickly. Another impressive fact, that we work together since 2015 may, without any conflict.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We are sometimes wondering to get developments on an early stage for testing. That is maybe usual in this sector, but the testing phase is something, wehre we feel more space for development. Testing phases are always longer and are excepting more attention from our side, than excepted, but we do not really have experience with other development teams, so this is something you should prepare for.

We are one of the biggest festival organizers team in Europe, organizing 5 events. The biggest one is Sziget festival with around 500.000 visitors yearly. As Web Project manager I'm responsible almost for all the digital platforms our visitors interact with - including website, ticket sale system, CRM, helpdesk, etc.

We worked on the wireframes together. When all the details were specified, they provided the design. After we approved, they started to build, and witihin a month we were able to launch the project.

According to our on-site survey our guests rated our website 4.6. We experienced increase of the avg. session length and the page visits.

Our project manager was very proactive, responsive, strict with deadlines and also had great attention to details . They helped us establish fluent communication and workflow. They introduced Slack to our Company, but the core communication platform was Redmine - as we requested.

Our group did not have a common identity nor a common hub where collaborators, companies or research institutions could contact us or get information about our work

What were your goals for this project?

The goals were to produce (i) a logo and brand identity and (ii) a webpage reflecting the setup and activities of our group, while being possible to maintain by ourselves.

How did you select this vendor?

I had previous experience with DONE DIGITAL through a similar project (http://www.cardioprotection.eu) and was therefore known to both the company processes (which are smooth) and the high professionalism.

DONE Digitial designed the brand identity including a logo, color palette first. Thereafter, the webpage was designed during a process including sketches about webpage content and design provided by us and the design team. After finishing the design, the webpage was produced by the production and in the latest step tested and filled with content prior publication.

The vendor also took care of moving the webpage to our server and test it for performance. A very good and sufficient manual/documentation was provided to us, enabling maintenance of the site without help from the vendor.

The project team consisted of 2 people from our side and at least 4-5 people from DONE DIGITAL all with specific tasks for the project (planning, design, development, contact with us).

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The project was launched and has generated great attention in our field of research. The leader of the group is highly impressed by the work done and we hope that the product will lead to improved research financing through contacts with companies and most importantly research authorities.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Project management was very impressive. Contacts were always answered timely and reason for the project taking a year was on our side as we had a lot of other projects to complete and could not always allocate time to this project. Communication was exclusively via e-mail and skype. There was no problem with language as all members of the team were fluent in English.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Clients have direct access to project leaders and the whole team is always involved in all communication assuring that all information is integrated. We did not experience that desires from our side were missed by the team, which is highly remarkable taking into account the big extent of change requests we proposed all the time. In addition, the calm, gentle and productive atmosphere this company shows is highly impressive and eases the work process tremendously.

Are there any areas for improvement?

There is very little to improve. The only thing I would suggest is during the brand identity process to involve the consumer more into the thinking process, which is obviously going on very well in the vendors' company so that the consumer can follow the process better and is prepared when identity sketches are demonstrated.
