DINO – Tech Solutions helped us build a digital magazine on a highly customized WordPress website.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

I worked with a project manager and was periodically in touch with the CEO. Tal was quite cooperative and responsive, providing help whenever I needed it.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I was impressed with their professionalism and patience. My numerous requests were always met with a smile and the team's cooperation, which you don’t see very often.

I’m an account manager for a digital advertising agency that works with suppliers.

What challenge were you trying to address with DINO?

The first project I did with them was a quick minisite for one of our customers. We approached them because we didn’t have web developers within our own company.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Aside from the first minisite, we’ve also done two other minisites and one big project concerning a development operation that generates other minisites for a client. I have an in-house designer, so they only handle the development.

All of the websites have been for our clients. One was for a construction company to showcase all of their projects. Another was for a company that sells different kinds of gluten-free food, and the website has a catalog of all their products and accompanying nutrients. DINO also made multiple minisites for a company that sells ski vacations, as well as multiple minisites for various vacations sites.

What is the team composition?

I work with two frontend programmers, but I know they have more workers. My clients sometimes work with DINO directly on selected tasks (e.g., if we need to connect to a CRM operation).

How did you come to work with DINO?

My company worked with DINO before I started. Many colleagues recommended them. We continue to choose them because of their reliability and honest pricing.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working with them since early January 2016. I speak to them 2–3 times per week because we always have a project for them.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

One of the minisite projects has an average of 8% efficiency (i.e., 8% of people who visit the website leave their details). This is a high rate for digital marketing. The client has been able to convert these into leads, and they’re very happy. They’re pleased with both the design and the website itself. Everything is very accurate.

How did DINO perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re excellent. They’re always available, and the clients and I are both very happy with their performance. The projects are always kept up to date and working great.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re very friendly and patient with people who aren’t tech-savvy.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t have anything negative to say. If I did, I wouldn’t hire them again.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Future customers should be honest with DINO. If they do this, they’ll get exactly what they need. I’ve learned in working with them that I don’t have to try and solve the problem because I can just tell them what I need and they give it to me.

I'm the owner and startup retailer of luxury watches. If you have a Rolex or another nice watch that you're tired of wearing and you'd like to sell it, you would find us online, contact us, we would give you an offer, you ship out the watch, and then we will pay you the money.

What challenge were you trying to address with DINO?

We started something out of nothing and today we have an online business. We needed our website developing.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They did the whole website from scratch. We connected to Parcel Pro's API, which a shipping and insurance company. We have a content management system and client management system that they built for us which generates automated emails of every status. We have a basic contacts form, contacts with pictures of the basic staff, slicing of the website, etc. They built the website on .NET.

What is the team dynamic?

I was in touch with a developer and a project manager.

How did you come to work with DINO?

We found them through a referral. They did work for a friend who works in Israel. I was looking quite a bit and it took me a while to find them. I was searching everywhere from Upwork to Toptal. For my website, what mattered to me was the quality and the user experience, and to be more advanced than my competition regarding features.

How much have you invested with them?

The total cost of the website was $10,000–$11,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with them from January to March 2016.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I'm satisfied. We're thinking about the next steps if we expand to other geographical areas. In terms of the company itself, they were a pleasure to work with. They told me to bring my wildest imagination and they'd make it happen. There's nothing they can't do technology-wise. There are no limits if I can think about it.

They also gave me suggestions and ideas of things I didn’t think about in the beginning to improve the website, especially for the backend. They'll get more business from me in the future. There are tweaks that I'm thinking of doing, but I'm happy with the way it started.

How did DINO perform from a project management standpoint?

They met all deadlines so it was perfect. I was on top of all of the communication. They were very good. I worked with their project manager most of the time. When there were some technical problems, the developer would jump in and we'd solve it together.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I don't have anything bad or even mild to say about them. It was a pleasure compared to other things that I saw on the market. When I searched, there was either a compromise on the quality of or I got some astronomic quotes, for example, $100,000–$80,000 for the same project.

I'm really happy with them. I didn't compromise anything from what I wanted. I got the high quality that I needed in terms of look and the user experience, as well as the management of the backend.

In Your Face is a creative advertising agency that produces social media and web campaigns.

What challenge were you trying to address with DINO?

We have worked with them on a few client projects, both large and small, for applications and websites.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They produced campaign applications and small websites for us. Our largest project was on behalf of a large newspaper. We created an application, which described the production process of a newspaper from the initial stage. We had to build the platform for the application, as well as provide all the small items that would make the app viable and interesting to users.

It was a large development task which took us a few months to complete. We had multiple display options for the Facebook profile of the user inside the application. 

What is the team composition? 

I worked directly with Tal Dinovich [CEO and Founder, DINO]. We had a 3-person team, including a designer.

How did you come to work with DINO?

I had seen some of their work and contacted the team for a collaboration. I looked at 3 or 4 other developers, but DINO was the expert I was looking for. They knew how to improve our application and could bring creative ideas that would make the project a success. They knew what kind of data I could use inside Facebook user profiles and how we could use that knowledge creatively.  

How much have you invested with them?

The project size was between $13,000 and $14,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with DINO in April 2012 and finished in May. Facebook has since changed their viral campaigns from applications to video, so we’ve moved in this direction as well. As such, we aren’t building any Facebook apps anymore.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Most people have found the application to be great, with amazing functionalities. Even when we had lots of traffic on the server, I knew we get the right answer from them. With any Facebook-related project, there will be some technical issues, but I always received fast responses from them. They would track and fix the problems and we had a normal amount of issues.

How did DINO perform from a project management standpoint?

Everything was normal. It was a hard project which they delivered on time.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They know how to provide good service and they have a lot of knowledge on Facebook and development. They worked a lot of hours without asking for more money and never argued with me about the small things. They saw the big picture and the main goal we had. I knew I could trust them.

I like the fact that Tal answered me anytime I approached me and never played games or marked something as being outside of the scope. I really liked working with him.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. We had a good collaboration.

Baumann Ber Rivnay is one of the biggest advertising agencies in Israel. I am the digital studio manager for the company.

What challenge were you trying to address with DINO?

At the time, I had 2 in-house programmers and we had more work than we could handle. I needed help with several projects at the same time and received a recommendation for DINO.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The first project we worked on was a website for a dairy manufacturing company. It started as a small project but became much bigger than we anticipated, so we needed help. It involved both a client and server component. They used .NET for development, the same technology we use in-house.  

How did you come to work with DINO?

I received a recommendation from one of our digital producers, who had worked with DINO at other companies. I tried them and liked the results.

How much have you invested with them?

The project was around $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with DINO in June 2017. The website was finished in July.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We were satisfied with the website. It was more than we expected, given that our price range wasn’t very high. They worked more professionally than our own team, given that we focus on websites for campaigns, which run for short periods of time. The site is still live; they built a responsive site, with an upgradable backend. The client is happy, as are we.

How did DINO perform from a project management standpoint?

The work was fluid and comfortable. We have a project manager on their end, with whom I’ve built a comfortable working relationship over time. I’ve never had any issues working with her.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The websites we usually build are for campaigns, which means that they are live for short periods of time (one month, on average). We tend to build sites quickly, without focusing on responsive designs and programming, as would be done for a site which needs to be online for a long period of time. 

Even for smaller projects, DINO didn’t cut corners: they built the sites to last for long periods and be easily maintainable. That hasn’t influenced the price, even though their work is much more complicated, and it’s why I’ve liked working with them. They’re professional and work by-the-book.

They are professional, much more than I expected, especially for the price range. They can adjust price-wise and in terms of timelines. I usually approach them with work that needs to be done quickly, and they’ve lived up to it time after time. They are my default outsourced company for almost all the work I cannot handle myself. If I had the option, I would work with them all the time.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Programming-wise, I see them as much more professional than myself, so I cannot criticize the team.

I am the CEO and owner of Alice Communications, a content and media production company. We handle many major national events in Israel, such as the Jubilee of Independence Day, The Big Israeli Quiz (which is a yearly project), and different campaigns about Jerusalem and its immigrants. We also produce a weekly television show for Channel Ten, called .il.

What challenge were you trying to address with DINO?

The quiz website was our initial project. It revolves around Zionism—the rebirth of Israel as a nation—which is celebrating 70 years of independence in Israel. We needed help with web development.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They took care of the web and media activity needed to reach larger and larger communities in Israel and outside of it. They developed our website, Facebook page, and different interactive games and experiences we deliver as part of the project. I didn't on technical details and trusted them to choose the best platform. They focused on building a platform that people can enjoy and interact with, in a familiar and friendly way.

What is the team composition? 

We have worked with 5–10 people from their side, and mainly interacted with Tal Dinovich [CEO and Founder, DINO] and Ayala Levy [COO, DINO].

How did you come to work with DINO?

Pixel Studio handles our graphics. They told us about Tal when we were looking for people to build our site and take care of our technical needs. We had a meeting with him and received a very good offer so we decided to move forward.

We started working with them in February 2017 and finished in April.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The website provides different experiences, such as trivia games and a photo opportunity. It runs around the world, in 5 continents, across different schools. It has been a great success, in many ways because of the great job completed by DINO.

Teachers from every school in Israel are using and enjoying the site. We’ve had no complaints, which is the best feedback we can have, especially when talking about technology. In many ways, there is no human nature anymore; only technophobic or technologic aspects.

How did DINO perform from a project management standpoint?

The communication was good, timelines were accurate, and, if there was a problem, they fixed it. As far as we’re concerned, they deserve full marks.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re friendly. The social atmosphere was calm even when things were tight. We were happy and felt privileged to have this partner. Timelines can be very tight but they always met them.

It’s important to have a partner who can maintain their cool in all conditions.

I’m the CEO of a production company based in Tel Aviv working on various animation shows.

What challenge were you trying to address with DINO?

We engaged them for work on Zack & Quack, a global Nickelodeon show. We needed to develop two related games for our Facebook page.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

DINO developed our products. One is a memory game, and the other is a trivia game. They were developed as web applications that work as IFrames for some of the broadcasters’ local websites.

We needed to have a management system which would allow us to create various pages in different languages and images based on the same game. This allows us to use the same management system for the versions in U.S., South America, and Israel.

I’ve worked directly with Tal [CEO & Founder, DINO], who also led the QA process.

How did you come to work with DINO?

Tal has worked with many advertising agencies in Israel, and I knew his brother. He knew what he was talking about, and showed us examples from other projects he had done in the past. We did meet with other local companies, but felt it would be best to go with DINO.

We started working with them in September 2014, and finished development in January 2015.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Their team helped us understand the limitations of our platform and found ways of creating the system as described, which wasn’t obvious for Facebook pages. It is working perfectly now. We needed something for Latin America one month ago, so we reached out to them, and I received an immediate response. I’m very happy in terms of service and process.

There were a few issues found during the QA process, but everything was solved. The app we created works great, and I would definitely choose DINO again as a provider. Kids all over the world have been playing the games.

I managed most of the communication. DINO gave us a good timeline and stuck to it. They never denied us of anything during the process.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We don’t have too much experience with other companies, but the one with DINO was good, so I can only recommend them.

Search for a creative technology company, or one who can lead the process, understand the creative goal, and think from that point of view. This was tremendously helpful when working with DINO.
