I’m a technical project manager for a gamification company. We gamify client websites based on their requirements.

What challenge were you trying to address with DigiPlusIT Software?

We usually partner with multiple companies to outsource our work. One of our projects involved building a game for Android devices. We needed help with web development to house the game.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

DigiPlusIT Software developed a web application to house the game. We gave them a view of components that needed to be in the game. They designed the entire backend of the application, the configuration panel, and everything on their servers.

Then, they gave us a URL that we could directly integrate into our app. It was a smooth integration that we could do for the new game that we wanted to launch on the Android app.

There’s been a change in the industry. Most of the Android applications that we launch are web-based. It’s an Android app on the front but it launches as an HTML5 based game from the backend.

What is the team composition?

I was coordinating with Suresh (Sales and Project Manager).

How did you come to work with DigiPlusIT Software?

We chose them because of a very good reference from another client. We saw their work and they had a very good portfolio working with big clients, including two big telephone companies.

How much have you invested with them?

We have invested between $10,000–$49,999.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from May–July 2020.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Not many games go live, most get discarded. This is one of the projects that we went live. 

On a scale of 1-10, I’d rate them 10/10 because the delivery was ahead of time.

How did DigiPlusIT Software perform from a project management standpoint?

We expected the project to take four months but they delivered in three months. They designed the entire project timeline. They gave us access to the project on Jira. We had a daily scrum call with them.

They’re professional at project planning and execution. There were some minor delays.

What did you find most impressive about them?

When we gave them the project, we didn’t have much clarity on how it’d be designed. They prototyped the entire project before we actually gave them the project. It included the UI and everything. They didn’t charge for it. It was something they did out of their free will, which was appreciated.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We mostly connected with their project manager. We’d prefer if we could have connected with their development team more often to understand if they had any technical difficulties.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Ask for a good prototype that they can view and evaluate before starting a project.
