What was the scope of their involvement?

We develop websites in WordPress, so projects that require any type of WordPress coding are referred to DICE INFOCOM. They didn’t do design work for us. We handle that ourselves. If we were to ask them to do the design, I'm sure they would. From what I understand, they have 24 people, but they devote one or two people at a time per project.

I found them on Upwork. They seemed reputable, professional, and responsive, so we went with them. The price was also right.

So far, it’s been $1,100.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in March 2017. I liked them so much the first time, I hired them for more projects.

There are no statistics or feedback yet since we just finished the project last Friday.

I hired DICE INFOCOM to redo my existing website because I was truly disappointed with the previous firm we used. They did not place the pictures correctly, write the descriptions well, or put the pricing right.

DICE INFOCOM fixed my website. It took them 20 days to do the work. They also wrote newsletters and did SEO for the website.

I started working with them around October 2016. I plan to have further projects for them involving SEO for our website. We will also ask them to develop another website for real estate.

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

Working with DICE INFOCOM has brought positive feedback to my company. Sales have grown gradually and I have gotten 100 new clients on the website. They knew about me but did not know I had an existing website. So, when they looked me up in Google, they found me quickly because of the efficient Google AdWords work done by DICE INFOCOM. They did a good job given the details I gave them.

How did DICE INFOCOM perform from a project management standpoint?

Putting it on a level from 1 to 10, I would say a 10. I worked with Swathi, who is very efficient. She held my hand and guided me throughout the process. Before Swathi does something, she asks you for your final decision. If she thinks a feature will not work, she gives you her opinion about it, but she goes with what you want if you are adamant.

What did you most impressive about DICE INFOCOM?

Their design is good. I am happy with the design on my website. It is perfect. I never thought I would have a website like that. Apart from the design, Swathi takes the time to know you better and asks if there is anything else you need apart from the project. Working with her is about work and also about outside work, so she meshed those aspects together well.

Are there any areas DICE INFOCOM could improve?

The only thing I can say is proper time management. I was okay with timeframes changing and did not see a problem with that. However, they may end up working with somebody who is not as flexible as I am. DICE INFOCOM should be able to keep the proper timeframe that the project needs.

We used DICE INFOCOM to develop a couple of portals.

What was the scope of their involvement?

DICE INFOCOM developed and designed our website, which we use to sell videos, games, and ringtones online. We worked with them on a daily basis on the tasks and functions they needed to actually develop. They do PHP, WordPress, and Drupal, but mainly we’ve been working with them on Drupal.

How did you come to work with DICE INFOCOM?

The company had already been working with DICE INFOCOM for the past two years. When I joined, I had the option to either stick with them or go with other outsourcers, but we decided to stay with them because we tried other ones and we didn’t really like communicating with them. With DICE INFOCOM, we’ve been satisfied with their work.

A portal would cost around $3,000 to $4,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began the project in October 2015 and our partnership with DICE INFOCOM is ongoing. The project is completed, and now we’re pursuing other projects and different portals.

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

They only worked with us on the development side. The first project that we worked on was delivered last month, so we’re starting to promote it now. We’ve started developing other websites with them as well. We haven’t really started generating money yet because we have to promote it first online and invest in the content. Before DICE INFOCOM delivers work to you, they test it and ensure that all of the functionalities work as expected. Then they give it to you so you can test it, and they always give you a maintenance period as support. If there is anything that goes wrong, they can fix it for you.

How did DICE INFOCOM perform from a project management standpoint?

Let’s say you have a project that needs one developer and one designer; they normally assign one person as the communicator with the client. You would speak with this communicator, and that person would take care of the developer or the designer’s part or talk to the employees. You only have to deal with one person. That’s a good thing about them because if you work with a team, it would be a little bit hard to deal with each person at a time. In this case, I just talk to one person and explain to them what I need and all the functions that I need to be developed. Then they communicate with the developer or the designer or whoever is involved in the project, so it saves you time.

What did you find most impressive about DICE INFOCOM?

Something that distinguishes them from other outsourcers in India is that they have employees who speak English fluently, so it’s easier for you to communicate with them. I tried to talk to other outsourcers and it was difficult in terms of communication, but with DICE INFOCOM, I haven’t had any issue or any problem in communicating with them. If you give them a project, they are committed to the point that they work on the weekend if they need to. In the project that I worked on with them, they actually did work on the weekend because I added extra tasks and extra functionalities for the website and we wanted to meet the target we set for the quarter. It was a good initiative by them, and a testament to their commitment.

Are there any areas DICE INFOCOM could improve?

So far I’m satisfied with them because if I’m not, I wouldn’t be starting more projects with them. I would find other outsourcers. I’m especially satisfied with the price, the service, their hard work, and the communication with them.

We have a Drupal website. It’s complex because it’s a large database that has many features. I think there are a couple of hundred apps on the site. Inevitably, there needs to be updating and we would like to add features. The site was up and running before DICE INFOCOM started working on it.

Since working with DICE INFOCOM, we’ve received feedback in the form of little tidbits here and there that people say, but nothing significant that I can pinpoint. There are some errors that people would report, but I would then tell DICE INFOCOM about it and they’d fix it.
