Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?
They only worked with us on the development side. The first project that we worked on was delivered last month, so we’re starting to promote it now. We’ve started developing other websites with them as well. We haven’t really started generating money yet because we have to promote it first online and invest in the content. Before DICE INFOCOM delivers work to you, they test it and ensure that all of the functionalities work as expected. Then they give it to you so you can test it, and they always give you a maintenance period as support. If there is anything that goes wrong, they can fix it for you.
How did DICE INFOCOM perform from a project management standpoint?
Let’s say you have a project that needs one developer and one designer; they normally assign one person as the communicator with the client. You would speak with this communicator, and that person would take care of the developer or the designer’s part or talk to the employees. You only have to deal with one person. That’s a good thing about them because if you work with a team, it would be a little bit hard to deal with each person at a time. In this case, I just talk to one person and explain to them what I need and all the functions that I need to be developed. Then they communicate with the developer or the designer or whoever is involved in the project, so it saves you time.
What did you find most impressive about DICE INFOCOM?
Something that distinguishes them from other outsourcers in India is that they have employees who speak English fluently, so it’s easier for you to communicate with them. I tried to talk to other outsourcers and it was difficult in terms of communication, but with DICE INFOCOM, I haven’t had any issue or any problem in communicating with them. If you give them a project, they are committed to the point that they work on the weekend if they need to. In the project that I worked on with them, they actually did work on the weekend because I added extra tasks and extra functionalities for the website and we wanted to meet the target we set for the quarter. It was a good initiative by them, and a testament to their commitment.
Are there any areas DICE INFOCOM could improve?
So far I’m satisfied with them because if I’m not, I wouldn’t be starting more projects with them. I would find other outsourcers. I’m especially satisfied with the price, the service, their hard work, and the communication with them.
