I'm the owner of a software development company, specifically app related.

What challenge were you trying to address with DianApps?

I needed support to develop an application.

What was the scope of their involvement?

DianApps is responsible for the entire process of developing my app. The team has created design wireframes, user stories, and user journeys. We're now in the development phase, and the team is programming the code behind the designs created. DianApps uses Python and Node.js, and after finishing the app, the team will provide a maintenance plan and marketing support.

What is the team composition?

My initial conversations were with Parag (Co-Founder), and I've also worked with Bharat (Associate Product Owner), Harish (Senior Product Owner), and Mausam (Senior UI/UX Designer).

How did you come to work with DianApps?

I was previously working with a company that went bankrupt. We were in the initial stages of developing the app's idea, and I had invested £10,000 (approximately $13,000 USD) with that company. Then, some of the employees started working with DianApps, and they brought me on board to continue the development process that was mid-journey.
How much have you invested with them?

I've spent £26,000 (approximately $33,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We began discussing the project at the beginning of this year and signed the contract in April 2024. The app is in the final stages and close to being completed.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

DianApps has brought my design vision into something I can see, which has been a pretty cool journey. I also like the team's openness and ability to incorporate changes according to my feedback. DianApps is prone to make changes that don't add cost to the project's budget. 

How did DianApps perform from a project management standpoint?

DianApps accommodates my schedule since I have two companies, allowing me to take more time to provide feedback. DianApps offers a cooperative journey. The project is a creative endeavor on my part, so we had an estimated timeline that has expanded because of my design change requests. The design phase needed more time, and this isn't DianApps' fault since I've agreed to extend the schedule.

We communicate through online meetings. Initially, we met twice a week, but now we meet once a week because we are in the development stage. We also have a WhatsApp group, and whenever the team needs feedback, we talk through the group.
Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

Bharat, Harish, and Mausam have been instrumental in helping me enjoy the development journey and have been amazing throughout the project. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

DianApps is consistent, kind, flexible, and engaging. In the beginning, I only had ideas and concepts for the app's design since I hadn't seen anything like that before, and DianApps tried everything I asked them to. I provided video visual references and the energy I wanted the app to convey. Mausam was prone to listening to my vision and trying to find ways to bring it to life. 

Additionally, Harish has made me feel comfortable to start working with DianApps without having a defined vision and trusting that we would go through the process together. Initially, I was nervous because I thought I needed to know everything to sign a contract, but Harish made me trust the team to develop the app together. 

Lastly, Bharat is responsible for keeping the project's timeframe. Even though we've gone over the schedule with creativity, Harish steers the ship and ensures the project moves forward and that the process doesn't stop. Harish is really helpful because otherwise, we've probably stayed in the design phase forever. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can't think of anything I haven't liked about DianApps' work. This is my first app development project, and I'm happy with the team.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

My only advice is to go for it and work with DianApps because they're a really good team.

We hired 10 engineers: 4 frontend, 4 backend, and 2 QA from DianApps to work dedicatedly on our project

In collaboration, we have accomplished our set milestones and now we are planning to resume the next round of development in a few months

Started initially working with just their Design team. We were extremely happy with their design output and decided to extend the partnership to include development services as well. Started with 2 devs, and gradually increased the team to 10 devs

What advice do you have for clients with similar needs to yours?

There are a lot of tech agencies out there but what Parag brings to the table is a warm and accomodating relationship and a human element that goes beyond tech and scope discussions.

I am ecstatic about the designs they came up with since they exactly represent the engaging and user-friendly experience we want to give our users. The aesthetically pleasing design and user-friendly navigation demonstrate a thorough comprehension of our objectives and vision.

Their process for predevelopment and creation of user stories is well-defined and prevents future miscommunications. Additionally, their method of incorporating change requests in ongoing sprints gives them an agility to accommodate changing business requirements on the fly.

Improvement in initial QA of delivered functionality. All identified problems were rapidly fixed, but more internal testing would have saved time for the business users in identifying issues.

Good work ethic, the team was cheerful and hardworking and was always willing to adjust work done in line with any feedback given. Their designers were talented, Prachi and Divyansh created some very impressive graphics and Prachi brought my logo concept to life beautifully.

Are there any areas for improvement or something DianApps could have done differently?

The only area I would suggest that needs work is their English in the context of writing content; please note that if you use this company you will need to write and format any content, and to proofread anything written. However considering that the team is located in India and English will not be their first language I consider this a very minor issue. Overall very happy with the team and quality of work.

What was the scope of their involvement?

DianApps has built our web application. We created the infrastructure and architecture internally, and they've developed the bulk of the app, primarily front- and backend functionality and some integration work. They've also assisted us on the network and server side. 

Initially, we handed the team an overview document with feature and functionality items. From there, they created the functionality, we reviewed it, and we implemented and deployed the app. They've done various iterations of the app, adding different features and functionalities each time. Most of the time, we provide the wireframes. 

The web app's functionalities include patient booking, consent form-filling, and submission. The pharmacy can see the submissions and patient documentation on their calendar for any clinical service they offer. Patients can create their own accounts to access these services and see their results. For example, patients can submit assessments and reviews, and pharmacists receive them directly. 

What is the team composition?

We've worked with 4–5 teammates from DianApps, including Vikash (Co-Founder) and a project manager. 

How did you come to work with DianApps?

They reached out to us, and we gave them an interview. We hired DianApps because they had good software developers, and their pricing was good. 

How much have you invested with them?

We've spent around $200,000 CAD (approximately $148,000 USD). 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in January 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The app has been successful in the market, with over 10,000 patients using it to schedule pharmacy services. DianApps has delivered what they promised in terms of functionalities. 

How did DianApps perform from a project management standpoint?

They're good at project management, though it depends on the teammates working on the project. Therefore, we've made sure that we have a good team that delivers on time, so we've been successful in the delivery timeline. 

We use Jira for project management and Slack for communication. Additionally, we have daily meetings to check their progress. Internally, I also log information into a spreadsheet. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I'm most impressed with DianApps' skilled and talented teammates. The quality of their development staff is really good and has surpassed our expectations. Moreover, we appreciate their flexibility in providing us with good development backing; when there's an issue, another developer within DianApps will step in. 

Additionally, their understanding of the project is great. The project manager understands our needs and allocates resources with our priorities in mind. They work with me to ensure that the team meets deadlines. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Since I'm very detailed-oriented, I like to have everything perfect within the app, and I've noticed small mistakes. However, the team fixes these mistakes; they're so small that they're not an issue. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Interview the developers and ensure you can communicate and work well with them. Moreover, assess their skills to ensure they match what you need.
