CUT THRU is a multi-award-winning branding agency with offices in Sydney and Brooklyn, New York. Boutique Branding Agency of the Year at the Netty Awards in 2023 and 2024, and a multi-category standout again in 2025.
Most agencies sell you a logo and a mood board. We sell you market share.
We took the guesswork out of branding. While others bet everything on one "genius" idea, we build multiple brand and website versions, then split test them in the real world, on the channels you will actually launch on. You go live on evidence, not opinion. The method is conversion-centered, grounded in the 3Cs (Customer, Company, Competitor) and double-blind testing.
Results:
Blossom: $0 to $1.6B in funds under management in under five years.
Talent Recap: built to over 15 million YouTube subscribers, one of the largest channels in the world.
Pacific Legal Foundation: repositioned a public-interest law firm holding more US Supreme Court wins than any other (22).
Quillette: grew its YouTube audience past 100,000 subscribers.
Paperform: a 25% drop in bounce rate and 22% lift in conversion, plus Best Abstract Logo Design at the Netty Awards.
Industries: finance and fintech, legal, media and publishing, SaaS and enterprise software, real estate, professional services, health.
Services: brand strategy and positioning, naming and messaging, visual identity and logo design, product-market fit testing, conversion-focused websites and landing pages, campaign rollout and lead-gen assets.
Recognition: Boutique Branding Agency of the Year, Netty Awards (2023, 2024); multi-category standout (2025); #1 branding agency in Sydney and top 5 in New York (Clutch); Top Branding Company Globally (DesignRush, 2022).

BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and your position there.
I own Parachute Technology, Inc. [Parachute], a Managed IT Services and Managed Security Service Provider in the San Francisco Bay Area.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire CUT THRU, and what were your goals?
Being in business for over 16 years, it was time for a comprehensive brand, logo, and messaging refresh. We needed to become more sophisticated on all fronts, increase our competitive edge, and attract new clients that are the right type of clients. We needed comprehensive and professional brand and messaging guidelines, which we never invested in previously. All of these efforts would be in support of our new, upcoming website and other marketing materials.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor?
We performed an extensive 3-month due diligence process as we needed to make sure we found a firm that would be truly willing to learn our business model, company culture and values, and growth goals. It was incredibly important to use a firm that would put in the time to research and gather facts about what our specific market was looking for in an MSP/MSSP and not just create a brand that looked good aesthetically.
It needed to go much beyond that. It was clear after speaking 2 - 3 times with 5 legit, highly capable firms over those months that CUT THRU was the clear and absolute best choice. We are thrilled with the results.
Describe the scope of their work in detail, including any steps and the final deliverables.
CUT THRU performed an extensive research project with various members of our team and clients. The data was analyzed and presented beautifully through 4 comprehensive Zoom meetings. Feedback was collected and changes made. Final outcomes presented and approved. All deliverables arrived professionally, on budget, and on time. Additional options and future work and ideas were presented for consideration, which was helpful and appreciated.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
I worked with a few people from the CUT THRU team who were always incredibly friendly, approachable, knowledgeable, and professional. I utilized the teams' expertise in research and analysis, messaging and copy development, copy editing, tag line creation, logo refresh, color/photo/font evaluation and guidance, brand/messaging guide creation, and general (very valuable) marketing advice and ideas. Their vast experience was obvious and they always met the deliverable expectation and the deadlines.
I felt like I was talking with a friend whenever we connect over the phone/Zoom. Everyone went above and beyond the expectations set and always offered to help further if needed. We continue to work and partner with them and seriously feel like we are their only client (but I do know they have some awesome clients in their line up).
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We have comprehensive and professional brand and messaging guidelines, as well as clear direction for our web development team and all marketing-related materials moving forward. The brand is unique, the messaging is different than our competitors, and our entire team is happy with the result.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Communication was consistent, timely, and clear. They made sure I was comfortable with the cadence and format and was willing to make any adjustments necessary.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They've made me feel like I was their only client and not many firms can do that. Also, their vast experience was seriously impressive, and came through with the finished product as well as the advice and guidance they provided.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Not that I can think of.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire CUT THRU, and what were your goals?
Brand identity, messaging, brand architecture, packaging, product development
SOLUTION
How did you select CUT THRU?
In my opinion no brand agency knows the meat industry better than CUT THRU. They were an easy choice considering CUT THRU's founder had worked internally at Pastoral previously and had a intricate knowledge of our market, products and capabilities.
Describe the scope of their work in detail, including any steps and the final deliverables.
CUT THRU helped us expand our presence by optimising our brand architecture to help get us noticed and stocked on busy shelves. They engaged with our clients and team members to put together a new brand architecture that helped us grow our business and expand into new areas.
How many people from the CUT THRU team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We had contact with the Brand Strategist and designers and packaging experts.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
CUT THRU helped us find gaps in a very well established market and create new products and presence. We created some unique products with their input that helped not only establish us an an innovator but also helped us retain the brand equity of what is a nearly 100 year old brand.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
I found their project management style very comfortable to work with, responsibilities and deliverables and methodology were agreed early on. Their style was collaborative. Communication was comprehensive and the project was managed within agreed timeframes.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Very few people understand our industry like the CUT THRU team did. They gave us a roadmap for expanding our brands and marketing them as well as insulating them from risk. This helped us put more products on shelves, clearly explain our value proposition and charge a premium for quality products in a highly commoditised, price sensitive market. They also gave us unique ways to slowly re-launch our brand and phase out our older style packaging in cost effective ways. They introduced us to lateral thinking and considering concepts we had not thought of.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
We were very happy with all the work done and look forward to working with them again in the future.

Thanks to CUT THRU's efforts, the client successfully achieved brand consistency. The team's customized approach allowed them to produce effective solutions. They were responsive and trustworthy which ensured seamless workflow and strong partnership. In the end, they were highly recommended.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the director of Medical Symbiosis, a medical device company. We sell a local anesthetic-based product for men’s health, specifically for premature ejaculation.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with CUT THRU?
We engaged with CUT THRU for strategy and branding.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
CUT THRU’s initial work focused on strategy and branding overview. Their work involved organizing our site’s details by giving guidance on our graphic designs, copies, and messaging. They built our site from an existing code, and they tweaked it to improve the UX. They also came up with a brand bible that includes details on the key components and messages of our social media posts. In order to finalize that, they conducted a couple of workshops where we had several brainstorming sessions.
In addition, the team worked on creating taglines for our website. They also conducted market analysis to identify our opportunities, similar to a SWOT analysis where they determined our strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. They examined a group of men aged 18 to 42, and they looked at their needs in terms of improving sexual confidence. One of the things they focused on was premature ejaculation.
What is the team composition?
We mainly worked with two people from CUT THRU, including Jonathan (Founder) who served as our point of contact. We also worked with their copywriter.
How did you come to work with CUT THRU?
A business colleague recommended CUT THRU so they were in the back of my mind for a time. My business partner also came across their company independently. After that, we reached out to CUT THRU to secure an appointment.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent $9,000 AUD (approximately $6,700 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
Our collaboration ran from March–April 2021.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
CUT THRU had significantly altered our messaging, and we were happy with where our messaging had taken us. When we collaborated, we were still a brand new company, and they were able to help us have consistent branding and messaging across all our platforms. They were able to clear up some confusion on our external customers’ side on where our brand sat within the market. With their help, we were able to seamlessly navigate the medical and sexual side of our product instead of just relying on one aspect.
How did CUT THRU perform from a project management standpoint?
They had a perfect project management process, and we mainly used Slack and Asana. We had around three face-to-face sessions during our engagement, and they always got back to us within five days. They underpromised and overdelivered. Above all, they stuck to our budget, and they contributed more than what was expected from them.
What did you find most impressive about them?
CUT THRU was honest and trustworthy. We were impressed that they had an individualized approach to our product. They also put a lot of thought into each of our project's steps. They were able to broadly see our strategy, and they brought everything together to achieve our goals.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, we were always happy with CUT THRU’s services. We enjoyed working with them, and we'd like to work with them again.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I highly recommend engaging with CUT THRU early on while you’re still planning to launch your business. That way, you’ll gain great insights into areas where you should consider pivoting or altering your message to gain consistency with your branding. On top of that, their workshops can have a significant impact on your business.

A fintech company hired CUT THRU for branding services. They’re handling research, strategy, messaging, and design to improve the company’s brand identity.
CUT THRU has strengthened the company’s brand, which has helped execute an effective and successful brand launch. The team is easy to work with and always available to accommodate all the client’s requests. Moreover, they have ingeniously grown the brand within a limited budget.

BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and your position there.
Co-Founder of a fin-tech giving access to fixed income
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire CUT THRU, and what were your goals?
Brand: research, strategy, messaging and design.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor?
After a long search, we hired CUT THRU because they had specific expertise in building brands in Finance and working with SMEs. We wanted a brand that more than just good graphic design, it had to have great messaging and a strong strategy to match.
Describe the scope of their work in detail, including any steps and the final deliverables.
Blossom was a new brand so we needed CUT THRU to create a compelling identity for a young, disengaged audience that wasn’t super trusting of companies in our industry. They did a deep dive into our customers, competitors and team to uncover the gap in the market and gave us a killer strategy to help capitalise on it.
They also did the messaging and some applications for us which helped us create a highly differentiated brand that’s so different to our competitors and as only helped us launch with a bang!
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We only had direct contact with Jonathan, the managing director who is the Brand Strategist for CUT THRU. He was supported by a researcher, specialist finance copywriter and a gun creative director.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We’ve had one of the most effective brand launches in the history of our industry and we can attribute credit enough to the strength of our brand. Anyone that views the product always comments on how much they love the branding
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Really easy people to work with, they’re always there when we need them and always pick up the phone when we call.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They’re growth hackers in branding, no one else in the industry can claim that. They showed us quick, easy, and ingenious ways to grow our brand on a tight budget.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
All went well!!!

Our Story
CUT THRU started with a simple frustration: branding runs on guesswork, ego, and whoever shouts loudest in the room. We thought that was a daft way to spend a client's money. So we swapped opinion for evidence. We build multiple versions, split test them in the real world, and launch only what wins. The mission is brands that perform commercially, not just brands that collect design awards, though we collect plenty of those too. Cut through, or don't bother.
What Sets Us Apart
Conversion-Centered Design
We rebuilt Paperform's identity and bounce rate fell 25% while conversion climbed 22%. That is the job. We design against a number, not a mood board. If a logo, page, or line of copy does not move a buyer to act, it does not ship. Compliments are pleasant. Conversions get paid.
Product-Market Fit Testing
We test brands to product-market fit before you bet on them. We build multiple versions and split test them on real audiences who do not know they are being watched, on the channels you will launch on. For swimwear label Fearless, we tweaked until it hit fit: 27,000 pre-orders at launch.
$50B in Equity, Grown and De-Risked
Most agencies treat branding as a gamble. We treat it as managed risk. Simple Dose: click-through up 127%, cost per click down 61.9%. Psychology Fitness: a new category that let them charge 3x. Blossom: $14M in 14 weeks. Over $50B in brand equity grown and de-risked. Returns, not roulette.
