We worked in steps. I would share the main goals and they would send back a clear plan of how to do it. We broke it into sprints so each one had its own set of features. They tested everything on different devices so it worked everywhere.

They used the right tools so we could launch on iOS and Android at the same time. On the backend they built a system to manage accounts, orders, and schedules. They also built an admin site so my team can add menus, change offers, and send reminders without touching code. Now we can control what users see in the app right from there.

The app looks great and people like it. It was done on time and stayed in budget. The new features work well together and the user experience is much better.

Our site had not been touched in almost two years. Some custom features had stopped working and the design just felt outdated. We wanted to move fast so instead of starting over we decided to fix and improve what we had.

My team went through the site and made a big list of every design change, bug fix, and update we needed. Competenza Innovare took that list and worked through it quickly and with care. They gave honest feedback on our ideas and often suggested better ways to do things. I felt like they were as invested in the result as we were.

They gave us a QA guy who handles manual testing mostly, but he’s also helping with automation. He writes test cases, joins sprint planning, helps manage Scrum stuff, and stays in touch with our engineers and product team.

He uses Android Studio for emulator testing, Pearls to check app traffic, plus Selenium and Appium for automation. Covers a lot.

We don’t track every step, but through sprints, we see how people are doing. He’s always done what he needs to, usually faster than expected. Picks up extra work too.  

The automation engineer’s been good too. We have quick weekly meetings, and he’s hit all the goals we set.

We now have better reporting, cleaner data, and it’s just easier for the team to use. Our outreach team can log touches faster and our support team is spending less time chasing down data.

It was great. Our account manager was on top of things, and we used Slack to talk directly to the dev, which really helped move things quickly. They always responded fast and kept things moving.

We have hired Competenza and have been actively working with them to build a bespoke web application from scratch - starting from story-boarding to production release.

What were your goals for this project?

To implement a comprehensive software (web application) that is designed to meet our requirements and to be able to integrate with our existing HR suite with ease - so that it would extend the capabilities of the suite.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We have already worked with Competenza prior to this for smaller projects - but this has been the biggest engagement since. We have interviewed their team to evaluate their capability to undertake this project and also compared their effort estimates, schedules and cost with 2 other vendors before deciding that they were the best fit for this project.

This project is still ongoing and has not reached the stage of completion yet. But once successfully finished, this application would help to add value to the software suite that we have - and thereby would indirectly support the revenue of the company.

They have a small capable team that provides a personalized service.

We have worked with only one of their teams and they seem to be capable with regular web technologies (server, client and middleware frameworks). Would be good to step into cutting edge techs to support new innovations.

Start-up Software-as-a-Service (SAAS) company providing turn-key Business Intelligence solutions for schools. I am the founder and CEO.

For what projects/services did your company hire Competenza Innovare Private Limited?

We had a prototype database application and proof of concept in Excel. We needed to have the SAAS solution build out in ASP.Net. Competenza took the lead role in all ASP.net development. That included project management, development and QA.

What were your goals for this project?

Build a working POC/Beta version of the application as quickly as possible at the lowest cost

How did you select this vendor?

I picked a number of vendors to be vetted and gave each of them an 8-hour dev project to test their abilities and vendor relationship. Competenza was one of only a couple that passed the test. After working with a couple vendors, they were by far the best and we shifted most of the project responsibility to them.

Built the ASP.net application from the ground up, through final deployment with our Beta client Project management for the project, including coordinating other outsource resources Stepped up to troubleshoot and fix numerous issues outside of their specific scope. We had the best possible experience! Our project was complex and subject to some tight deadlines with minimal hands working on it. Nishant & Competenza not only did exceptional work at every turn, but came through in the clutch many times to keep us on track and meeting all key deliverables and milestones

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Mainly Jira, Skype and Email. We were a small team and that worked perfectly for us.

Dedication to excellence and willingness to step up and take ownership of any issue or problem to make sure we delivered on all our milestones on time and with excellence. Even when numerous unexpected setbacks and issues arose.
