We were working on the first project for the agency which was an NFT collection that was meant to be distributed through a website. We hired Codea to develop both the smart contract and the integrated to the SC.

I knew Codea from previous roles in which i worked with them for different projects. I decided for CODEA because of the trust they provide, the speed of answer, and the knowledge the have on both technologies i needed.

The scope was to develop a solidity EVM smart contract for an NFT smart contract integrated to a web3.0 in which the NFTs were going to be minted.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We still haven't published to end consumers the project so i can't share measurable results. However, the best measure i can provide is that all deliverables were achieved on time.

We are an agency that has no CTO, therefore we needed an agency that could also help on setting up the project by all means.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They had an answer for everything and were willing to go the extra mile to deliver what was needed.

I don't have any constructive feedback.

We were able to launch our product and are still developing key features that will make users want to use the app.

Before them our tech team wasn't very organized and as soon as they got into the project, we were able to organize and create a better workflow, which was reflected in the output

I cannot come up with something they could do better.

ECOCLIMASOL is private company (SME) with presence in Montpellier (France) and Buenos Aires (Argentina). Its CEO and founder (Dr. Jean-Philippe Boulanger) was Director of Investigation at IRD (ird.fr).

IRD has been supporting the creation of ECOCLIMASOL, as a spin-off from research actions, such as realized during an FP7 European Project (“A Europe-South America Network for Climate Change Assessment and Impact Studies in La Plata Basin”), which gathered 20 institutes from Europe and South America and more than 190 scientists, engineers and students.

ECOCLIMASOL aims at bridging research and society developing climate risk management solutions for private and public bodies, mainly in developing and emergent countries. The company is built on two major axes:

1. To improve the state-of-the-art in climate management solutions through a participation in research projects with applied objectives;

During the last 9 years, we have been providing Climate Business Intelligence services to insurance companies. We aimed with that project to extend our service offer to our clients' clients, providing a mobile Application.

Develop a mobile app for users to receive information about their insurance contracts as well as satellite informations.

We compared CodeaIT with two others companies specialized in app development. Our selection criteria included the professional experience of the team, the project management methodology and clarity as well as the total cost.

From the beginning of the project and every two weeks, we had retro and planning meetings in order to define all tasks to be done during the 2-week sprint. Every day, we had a 5-15 minute daily meeting when each member of the team (CodeaIT and Ecoclimasol) presented its progress and shared the daily tasks.

Thanks to the App and demo we presented to our clients, two large companies are interested in adding this new service.

It was very effective and easy to manage. From day 1, CodeaIT team integrated with our international team.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

What impressed me the most is first their capacity in understanding our needs and to be identify their team members skilled to manage the project, and second their organization and methodology allowing a very efficient and easy to follow planning in developments.

We have more than 4000 records on the web approximately one year after its launch. It is frequently used to communicate releases and that our customers can see the catalog and the updated price list.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Very efficient and effective. Both their development and maintenance specialists are very fast and attentive.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They are clear at the time of diagramming the project and recommend very well so that the client is satisfied. They have a lot of knowledge about web development and its management. Also the e-commerce they created works perfectly.

In my case I would not have any area to question.

I’m the technical lead at Flybondi. We’re a low-cost airline based in Argentina that was founded just two years ago. I manage our technology department, which works on our company’s web platform.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Codea IT developed a web app to help us manage our airline’s ticket prices. They also built the API that feeds the platform. It’s a simple system. They finished the development within a two-week period. We’re still working with them on additional projects.

What is the team composition?

Initially, we worked with a single developer, but as we progressed Codea IT added more resources. For the more demanding tasks, they provided up to three people. In our current state, we work with a team of two people from their staff, but we expect that number to increase to five by the end of the year.

How did you come to work with Codea IT?

They contacted us directly and shared a proposal. By coincidence, we were in the process of looking for a development partner. We evaluated each vendor, but ultimately Codea IT had the best portfolio and offered the most competitive price. It was clear that they had the proper internal resources to help us build our platform.

How much have you invested with them?

For the main project, we paid them 500 Argentine Peso ($13.63 USD) per hour. They worked between 5–8 hours a day for three weeks.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in December 2017. They completed the initial project, but our collaboration is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They weren’t deeply familiar with our vision and the type of technology we were working with, so there was a bit of a learning curve. With that said, they were committed to bettering their knowledge. With hard work and dedication, Codea IT delivered on time and according to our expectations. We continue to work with them on other development projects.

How did Codea IT perform from a project management standpoint?

During the main project, we had daily meetings to assess our progress; otherwise, we communicated via Slack and email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I appreciate that their managers follow up personally on any issues or requests. They’re very responsive, and we’ve developed a good inter-team relationship.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We continuously ask for more support, but they don’t have many available resources. In my experience, that’s common in our local technology market.

We’re a game developing company, specialized in digital versions of popular board games. We distribute all over Latin America and have operations in the U.S., Argentina. and Uruguay.

What challenge were you trying to address with Codea IT?

We had two big projects that we needed help with. One is a large news website, which has a games platform included for the first time. We needed work on the backend and integrating all games on HTML.

Another big project we have with them is on a geolocalization game with AR. It allows people to walk anywhere there is Foursquare and find information about the bars, restaurants, and hotels, then virtually improve and sell them. We needed work on one of the most complex parts, which was the backend.

They work on backend development for these two projects. We had investments by Microsoft Ventures and Telefónica. That's one of the many reason why we implemented Microsoft Azure. They’ve also used MongoDB for both projects.

I work mainly with the two project managers, and they have around 3–4 other developers working on the project.

How did you come to work with Codea IT?

I’d known one of their founders since before they started so I already knew about his professional qualities. He’s one of the best technicians I’ve met. I always recommended them and everyone else has been happy with their work too.

We began working with them in 2015 or 2016 and have continued collaborating with them since then.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The results have been excellent. What I appreciate the most about them is that they make me feel secure to continue working and growing with them. That’s the most important thing for me. I’m not an expert on the technicalities—I just want to create a successful game and have it reach millions of users, what they take care of. They ensure that everything works perfectly when the users come in, and they’re great at that. They give me peace of mind.

How did Codea perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re very professional at their work. We have daily meetings with people from their team and they send daily updates. We also use Zeplin for the visuals. Each week we have a high-level meeting where they update us on the overall advances. They’re great; very professional and responsible.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They treat all projects like they are their own and really care, rather than just thinking about how much money they could make. When they call me and propose improvements, I see how invested they are and what good value they provide.

I can’t find anything negative. They’re great at what they do and I’m very happy with the general results.
