What challenge were you trying to address with Chakor?

I needed help developing a somewhat complex website. I required a landing page with a backend database that needed to be visualized with custom visualizations and data summarizations. This feature needed a custom backend built, which was why I was looking for support.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Initially, I provided Chakor with branding guidelines and some ideas about how I wanted the website to look. Using my input, Chakor has created everything on their own. As for the technology stack, they've used Bubble to build this website. Currently, we're in discussions about a second stage for this website development project.

I've been in contact with five teammates from Chakor, two of which have done the majority of the technical work.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together around May 2024, and our engagement is ongoing. The first stage of the website is almost complete, and we're now talking about future development work.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Although we're not at the point of launching our website yet, we'll be in the next couple of weeks. Chakor has done everything I've asked for, but the impact of their work will have to wait until we officially publish the site and see what happens.

How did Chakor perform from a project management standpoint?

Everything has been delivered within a timeframe I've been happy with, and there have been no budgetary changes from the initial scope Chakor provided.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

Mohid (Web Application Developer) has been the lead developer. He's very useful and responsive. Whenever there's a problem, we just jump on a call and quickly sort it out and clarify any confusion. Still, everyone from Chakor has been very responsive as well.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Chakor is very responsive and offers good value for the money.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There's nothing Chakor could improve on. Whenever I don't like something, I mention it to them, and they quickly try to change it until I'm happy with the result.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Be sure about everything you want. Chakor is very responsive and will try to fulfill your vision. If you're trying to do a web development project with good results and good value for the money, Chakor is a good choice.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I received more than I was expecting from Chakor's work. The team revised the work and adjusted it according to my requests, being very patient. I was very pleased with the app. Chakor was accommodating in developing features that weren't included in the original statement of work (SoW). 

How did Chakor perform from a project management standpoint?

Chakor's deliverables went beyond time, although this wasn't their fault because I added features to the original SoW. The team was very professional and performed very well. Our communication was excellent and without hurdles despite being located in different countries, which could be challenging. We communicated with Chakor via phone calls and Google Meet.
Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?
Hamza (Co-Founder) was very accommodating and had a great work ethic. I appreciated his understanding.

What did you find most impressive about them?

My favorite thing about Chakor was that they gave me fewer headaches since I didn't have to manage the development process.

I can't think of anything Chakor could improve.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

I suggest having a plan and being clear about what you want. Chakor is very understanding, but you need to have a base plan. The team is professional, and you should be prepared when engaging with them.

We had specific weekly goals for the prototyping they did, so Chakor wasn’t responsible for the overall mission. However, they successfully made iterated progress every week, sometimes even daily, and the quality went beyond my expectations.

They met deadlines and stayed on budget. We met daily in the morning because they were in Pakistan. We mainly communicated through Zoom and Slack.

Chakor developed my website from scratch, which is essentially a social network platform where users can create a profile and comment, message, and upload media. Chakor mainly used no-code tools to build the site, which was responsive for mobile devices, too.

When you're clear about what you want, Chakor is really good at responding with a reasonable price and time and developing your desired product. Every time there was confusion or delays in our project, it was because I didn't explain things clearly to Chakor or wasn't clear about what I wanted.
