I’m an executive at a task and time management platform.

What challenges were you trying to address with Chakor?

We needed help with web app development.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Chakor helps us implement all of the functionalities of our web application, including its backend, the conversational interface of our product, and the web’s UI. In terms of the process, I let them know the functionalities I’m looking for in the web app, and then Chakor’s team implements the features using Bubble as their main tool.

Regarding features, the system is an interface for task and time management, allowing users to enter and view notes and other information.

What was the team composition? 

We’ve worked with around three members of Chakor’s team, including a project manager and a developer.

How did you come to work with Chakor?

We chose Chakor for this project because they had positive online reviews. They seemed like an experienced team in the field and technologies that we were looking for. In addition, we had a good impression of them after our first meeting.

How much have you invested with them?

So far, we’ve spent less than $5,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in September 2022, and the engagement is still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Chakor has delivered a fully functional system that is based on our requirements. In addition, the developer they’ve assigned to us is very committed to the project and open to discussing and modifying the product based on our feedback.

How did Chakor perform from a project management standpoint?

Chakor delivers everything within the timelines and budgets we set. Regarding communication, we have a Slack channel and use Google Meet to discuss anything that arises — they’re very responsive and smooth.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The knowledge, professionalism, flexibility, and expertise of Chakor’s development team are impressive. They’re detail-oriented and work with us to find the best way to implement the platform’s functionalities according to our current needs.

I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on.

I am the CEO of a movers marketplace startup that is a one-stop platform for all moving, shifting, and logistical services. It offers a wide range of outstanding services across all cities of the U.A.E.

For what projects/services did your company hire Chakor, and what were your goals?

We were managing things manually on sheets, emails and some other tools and we wanted to automate our processes for a seamless experience. We needed a customer-facing mobile app where they can upload a video survey of their home and get multiple quotations quickly. We also needed internal management systems to manage vendors, customers, quotations and invoices easily and in one place.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We posted our project on a marketplace and their proposal and profile stood out. After interviewing multiple candidates, we were impressed with their communication and experience. Their pricing was very reasonable and they were willing to start immediately.

Being an early stage startup, we had a very limited budget. Scoping, prioritizing features and planning product roadmap carefully were our major concerns. Chakor came onboard and started by preparing a very practical roadmap with time and cost estimates followed by rapid development using a NoCode/LowCode platform named bubble. They also helped us integrate various APIs including a BuyNowPayLater service named Spotii.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

One project manager (who was a senior developer too) and one junior developer was assigned to us. Their co-founder was also involved at times.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Since they spent quite some time on discovery and preparing a very detailed roadmap with estimates, it was very easy to track progress. They almost always completed each item before the deadline and left us with sufficient time to test too. We really liked their daily end-of-day updates through slack and instant availability to jump on calls.

They seem like a big fan of Agile Scrum. They’ve mastered sprints planning and are very detail oriented. They would keep asking questions until they are very clear about the implementation. And the best part is, they pull off things with minimum human resources.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The fact that each of their team members is a software engineer turned NoCoder is impressive. They never hit a wall and always have alternatives, sometimes even by developing a plug-in.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I can’t think of any improvement but rather addition in their skill set i.e. if they can build a team around marketing, they can extend support to their clients in preparing and executing go-to-market strategy.
