This project involved a complete overhaul of our site, implementing a full redesign and extensive backend development. It included coding all underlying functionality, making necessary adjustments, and providing comprehensive documentation. Intensive timeline planning and robust project management were critical. This project was executed in close collaboration and under the direction of our tech lead.

When new tasks came up or required more time than anticipated, he proactively communicated delays and clearly outlined the reasons. He regularly confirmed priorities, aligned expectations, and ensured clear communication across the entire project team.

Various data objects and business rules are defined in Salesforce, with custom APIs provided to Celadon to build on top of. We have completed 3 out of 6 potential programs in a multi-year project.

All features provided thus far have been tested and delivered on time and within budget. The level of diligence exhibited during the project has greatly exceeded expectations. Celadon's designers, analysts and developers have demonstrated a commitment to delivering a high quality product.

Project management is clearly a strength for Celadon. Communication is excellent. Availability or responsiveness is never an issue. I was at first concerned about the time difference (we are 7 hours apart) but that proved to be a non-issue. The quality of their output exceeded our expectations. Schedules are set bi-weekly and goals are consistently met.

In addition to all that, they developed many new features, new interfaces, APIs, integrations, enhancements, revisions and fixes. They are currently innovating in this project in a proactive and efficient way.

The fact that Celadon was able to understand source code that was not originally made by them. In addition to being able to optimize, refactor, correct and improve the platform in record time. They were very efficient in validating, understanding and improving the code as well as being proactive in suggesting smarter infrastructure and logical processes.

I was looking for someone who could prepare a clickable prototype in Figma out of the mockups/wireframes I've provided. It's a mobile app for sport-fans that I wanted to have a MVP for. With the clickable prototype, I'm testing the market response, features my potential customers like or don't. After concept tested I'm to go into securing funds for the project development (coding).

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Was looking for someone experienced in designing and building/developing mobile apps. The vendor had to be fluent in English, used to work with Figma and with a competitive pricing. After checking several webpages, compay portfolios and talks with the potential vendor I've decided for Celadon - was most impressed by their professional attitude and fair rates.

Before project begin we had a talk where I explained what the end-product should look like. I delivered the mockups/wireframes in "Invision's freehand tool" (no design at all) and provided some good examples of existing/similar apps. They took a couple of days - as agreed - to get thru my requirements, to confirm their primary offer. It was corrected a bit but was acceptable as it was like 80 screens that need to be designed.

I was in touch mostly with their designer, really patient, also fast and a with feeling for design! I would say I'm quite a demanding customer having 15 years of experience in building web-projects from scratch up and was really happy to get Vladimir to work with. From time to time we were in touch with their PM as well, he was checking if anything was needed.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The prototype took some more time to be built, but this was expected. I've asked for quite some changes - based on customer feedback. It was quite a time-consuming process, but the end product was great. Our test users loved the app's UI/UX design! Would definitely recommend those guys to work with!

Easy to talk with and responsive! We used Slack on a daily basis and Zoom for conference calls and screen sharing. For PM they are following the agile approach with Jira board. Proved to be flexible and efficient process.

Before we had mobile app that Celadon developed for us our main user interface was telegram bot, which didn't really work. After we offered mobile app to our potential clients the conversion went up.

We were transforming Prague Card (functionning since 1992) from chip card to new digital generation form - mobile app with QR code. We asked to create new website with modern shape and eshop reflecting the two possibilities for clients - old physical Prague Card and new QR code in mobile app.

The recommendation from my friend in Dubai was deciding factor to select Celadon.

We started with a wireframe designed by Celadon on the basis of our draft structure and design ideas. Then step by step the web structure was created and our old CMS adopted to serve it with content. After adding the content the webpage was finalised. At the same time, the new eshop and payment gate to Stripe was integrated in the web. And eshop was connected also to our main software system City Card Manager to manage bookings and payments.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We were able to see the clients response only since the 15.7.2021 when we renewed our operations in Prague after pandemia closures. It is impossible to measure the result currently as incoming tourism in Prague is still on 10-20% level of 2019. However we can see that 80% clients booking on our new web and eshop realised by Celadon, are choosing the new mobile QR code for their Prague attraction pass instead old physical Prague Card. And that was one of our main goals - to highlightened this form, so wr see it very positive.

We received regular reports from the manager who was in contact with the team. Any questions, problems, and ideas from our side were immediately analyzed and addressed. They even transformed them to commendations and after approval of the solution passed without delay to the team.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

It seemes that at the beginning the team could have analysed more deeply our Prague CoolPass project from its operational and clients side, not only from technical solution side. I think it could have resulted in shorter realisation time. But I consider the final result as perfect.

I’m the founder of an education platform. We teach English to elementary school children in Korea.

What challenge were you trying to address with Celadon?

Because of COVID-19, we needed a website to do everything online. It was an initial MVP project.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I created all of the landing pages, so I just needed them to assist with integrating with an e-book provider.

They used another learning management system called Moodle. They designed the login page and other elements. Since the online e-book library service provider is now integrated with our site, students can log on and then access the e-book. There is no need for a separate account.

What is the team composition?

There was a total of three people. Most of the time, I spoke with the CEO, a web designer, and a software engineer.

How did you come to work with Celadon?

I searched online for a bunch of MVP providers and approached all of them. I selected the company within my budget. It’s a test run, so I wanted to see how it would work with our school.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Celadon in April 2020, and it ended in mid-September 2020. If I have any other needs, I’ll approach them again.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Celadon did what they said they were going to do. The success was decent in terms of the cost compared to the other quotes I got. They did the work within the time period. I’m only using it for a few students at the moment.

I’m satisfied, but because it’s an MVP, it’s not fully developed yet. I wanted to stay within budget and didn’t want to spend more money on it, so it wasn’t because of something they didn’t do.

How did Celadon perform from a project management standpoint?

I always had someone there to respond to my inquiries. We mostly communicated through messaging and Google Meet. I emailed back and forth with the website designer.

There were no delays, so they did well with the time management. It was a pretty straightforward engagement.

What did you find most impressive about them?

This was the first time that I actually approached developers to do something for me. With the budget restraints and time limits, I think their team performed well.

Are there any areas they could improve?

If they could give more information about the technical processes, that would be good. I don’t have a software background, but I prefer to know the ins and outs of what’s happening. Some people are different.

Because of the budget restraints, I was trying to do some of the stuff myself. I would’ve liked it they’d given me extra information. It isn’t a negative; it’s more of a preference.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Customers might have something in mind, but there may be an easier way to do something. It’s probably a good thing to figure out an easier way, but it’s best to research rather than just having an idea and asking their team to do that.

Because developers come from that background, they know what will be easier and a better way to do things.
