The quality of the suggested contractors was higher than I expected, historically I expect to have to "trade out" contractors to find a fit, and the expected skills. To this point I have only had to replace contractors that have left Apiko entirely.

The only ask I would make of Apiko is to commuincate if and when contrators under thier purview will be expected to need updates to titling and rates.

Despite the evident geopolitical challenges they face as a Ukrainian company, Apiko was always, and I mean always, a pleasure to work with. Communications were never delayed and they always gave ample attention to our needs. They were friendly, skillful and effective from the beginning of the project to its completion and hand off to an internal team. 

They are very detailed in planning and project management, and always very transparent on any questions or concerns raised through the life of the project. They also made accommodations for our needs above and beyond expectations.

Including automated testing and more thorough documentation are two areas I feel they could improve upon, however their skill and efficiency in software development and project management quickly and deftly handled any issues that arose.

They are professional in their approach to the work but also flexible enough to be able to adjust very quickly. Among other companies we considered, they had numerous projects in their existing portfolio that closely matched the user requirements and technologies we were most interested in.

Looking back I wish we would have collectively identified areas of the project that started out with unusually high levels of ambiguity and uncertainty, so that we could have adapted the requirements gathering process to be more flexible in those cases.

We wanted to develop a bespoke application for users to be able to learn on both mobile and web. Along with the educational content we have recorded over the last 3 years, we wanted to integrate social features such as a newsfeed and direct messaging so we can connect like minded individuals.

They could have been more accurate with their timing and a few features took a lot longer than we expected. I appreciate these things happen especially given there have been exceptional circumstances this year.
