We have been working with the Brights Team for the past 1.5 years now. We initially hired them to develop our brand new online platform for our launch. In addition, as it has been such a pleasure to work with them, we also decided to stop using a 3rd party LMS platform and build it from scratch with the Brights team.

Brights was recommended to us by another UX agency. From the very first call we had with their team we were very impressed by their communication and organisational skills. We knew right then that our project would be in good hands!

Our goal was to build an online platform for global competition. We kicked off the project with an initial call to define the goals and timeline. During the project development, the brights team was always available on slack to ask or answer any questions and to have follow-up calls if needed. I have been working closely with the project manager. In addition, I was in close contact with the front-end and back-end developers as well as the designer on occasion.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Our goal was to launch the platform in a very tight timeframe which we did! Since then, there have not been any issues or bugs on the platform which we are very impressed with.

Our project manager (Nata) is an absolute star! Our main source of communication is via slack and on Google Meet if needed. She is an excellent project manager and extremely friendly, professional, helpful, and always available. All of our projects were met in the agreed timeframe.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The Brights team really will go out of their way to make sure that you succeed with your project. As our project was pretty complex, they really helped brainstorm to find the best solution possible. Their whole team is very professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. The developers I got to work the closest with (Olya and Was) did an excellent job in building the platform how we envisioned it. Working with Nata and the Brights team has been an absolute pleasure, and I would highly recommend them!

I am the founder and CEO of LEI Worldwide a regulatory compliance solutions provider for financial services companies.

We hired Brights to manage and build a custom web based solution for company registration with a focus on automating the process for the end customer and scaling the project. We needed expertise in the are of web development, php language and Laravel platform to do this.

We found this vendor through a referral from another organisation.

The scope of management was to continue to develop a project using Laravel, make the LEI ordering process more user friendly and continue adding custom features. Each project element was done in a phased manner and professionally executed within set time frames by the team.

There is a full development team handling the project, including one project manager, front and back end developers, and when needed there were SEO specialists and specialists in other departments to help when needed. All bases are covered.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The automation aspect that has been developed frees up a lot of our time so we can focus on other areas of the business. Our previously manual processes have now been automated, and most of our orders are now handled fully automatically. This frees up employee time and has a much more satisfactory customer experience.

The project management was very professional and responsive. The team understood the product which is quite a niche one and difficult to understand, however it was picked up quickly and understood very well. We communicate via email, and continue to have bi-weekly catch ups on Zoom. The team are always available for any last minute requests I may have, which is a lot :) Everything is done in a timely manner and goes to staging before being approved for production so nothing goes out without being fully approved which is very nice. The project manager is very experienced and has the support of multiple experienced developers to handle complex tasks. Each task is assigned an approximate time estimation for delivery and added to the list and executed in a timely manner.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The most impressive quality is the expertise and support from the team. We feel very confident that whatever issue arises we have a team working to provide a solution. We are comfortable with their level of expertise and understanding of the projects aims and mission which can be difficult to find and is unique.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Everything is done to our satisfaction and pre-approved so there are no issues. In fact there are some things I need to improve on - which is being more organised in order to help the vendor. I send new tasks to work on regularly, so keeping track of everything is difficult and being more organised around this might help them, but they have handled everything very well so far!

We needed an app built for our first product, The Guided App.

We provided wireframes, user requirements, design concepts, and a couple of other documents. Brights further developed those documents. Then, they designed and developed our mobile app for iOS and Android.

They’re also building a website and landing page for customers, as well as a dashboard for administrative tasks like approving users. They use React Native for the frontend and Node.js for the backend.

We worked with 11 people including a project manager, a UX/UI designer, front-and backend developers, a QA specialist, and a DevOps person.

We began working together in December 2020, and our work is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Brights provides feedback and ideas which we haven’t considered. From a quality perspective, they’re thorough which mitigates issues during testing. Overall, the end product is better because of their level of engagement.

How did Brights perform from a project management standpoint?

They do an outstanding job. They keep us informed throughout the process with challenges and the budget. We communicate daily via Microsoft Teams, and we have a weekly meeting on Google Meet.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their level of engagement makes us feel like we have an in-house team of developers.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We ran into some unexpected things regarding set up in the iOS and play store.

The goal was to create a modern website which was meant to transform the old-fashioned image of lawyers and legal profession. The main challenge was connected to lots of descriptions inevitable for legal texts. Brights team managed to implement the project in the most effective way. We started working with Bright in 2016 and the relationship is ongoing.

The creative agency we worked with provided all wireframes and designs, while Brights managed the development of our website. Brights team completed the project in a limited timeframe. We are satisfied with new UX which streamlines customer funnel - from general description of the company to call to action which in our case - the decision to drop an email to a certain lawyer.

The project team included 10 specialists, including CTO, front-end and back-end developers, QA specialists and project manager.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Among the most tangible results we achieved with Brights team I would like to highligh the following: 1) we reduced the bounce rate from 70% to 25% only, which is an amazing result for websites for professional services 2) we increased the website session length to almost 3 min (and even longer for certain sources of trafic) 3) we significantly increased the number of website visits.

Brights lead developer is very knowledgeable, he smoothly managed their team. Thewhole team was responsive and easy to work with. We could have reached the project manager at any time and all our questions and concerns were managed in the best possible way.

During the active phase of development the team 1) quickly addressed our concerns 2) explained the technologies that were chosen 3) was flexible and ready to go extra mile for the client.

Our Company was founded in 2020 and we own a C2C social based platform which facilitates the sharing of sports betting insights, predictions, and analyses. I am the founder of Flippick Inc.

For what projects/services did your company hire Brights?

Our Company engaged Brights for the website design and development of our entire platform. At the time of contacting Brights, our Company only had detailed write-ups explaining the platform and (poorly designed) wireframes.

What were your goals for this project?

Our overall goal for the project was to emerge as one of the first social based and all-inclusive sports handicapping platforms on the market. From a design and development standpoint, our goal was to create a unique platform that allows users to create an account, interact with one another (i.e. follow one another), and post and view sports betting predictions either for free or at a price, which was achieved with the help of Brights.

Furthermore, our goal was to include transparent statistical tracking for all of our users. From a technical perspective, achieving these goals included integrating Sports Betting APIs, payment processors, and other third-party companies. Achieving these goals also required the creation of our unique view picks and make picks flows, user profiles (which include a number of statistical calculations, graphs, etc.), two leaderboards (which include a number of statistical calculations and a complex ranking system), and suggested user algorithms.

Our business model differs from the sports handicapping platforms currently on the market as those platforms typically only allow a select group of users to post (and sell) their predictions, while our platform allows all of our users to post (and sell) their predictions. Furthermore, our platform is unbiased, meaning that you must prove yourself to get to the top of the leaderboards, while other platforms allow users to pay a fee in order to have their accounts featured at the top of their leaderboard.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We selected Bright's through a thorough research (including Clutch) and review process. Our search started with approximately 25 Companies and lasted approximately 2 months. Through numerous discussions held with the various development companies, Brights proved to be the best choice as they are extremely knowledgeable from a technical and operational standpoint, and were quick to understand our platform and business model.

Our project started with a one week planning phase in which I traveled to Brights’ office in Ukraine and worked directly with the team to explain our vision and the basic functionality of the platform. In this one week planning phase, with the guidance of the extremely knowledgeable Brights team, we were able to create a plan to overcome a number of anticipated obstacles that we immediately identified. Following the planning phase, we jumped into the design phase, where the Brights designers were able to map out the flow and design of our create an account / login pages in just a couple of days.

After we worked together to agree on final designs, the developers began coding the back end while the designers continued to design our Dashboard, Create Prediction Flow, View Prediction Flow, User Profile Page, Leaderboards, Manage Funds, and Notifications pages. The process continued on in two week sprints, with weekly meetings to ensure that we were on track to meet our sprint timeline and to discuss questions and obstacles encountered in real time. When an obstacle was brought to the attention of our team, the Brights team always brought a number of solutions to the table, and a recommendation and supporting explanation for which solution they felt was the best.

As the development of our platform was an evolving process, there were a lot of ad hoc updates requested on the fly, which the Brights team was able to easily manage. As our platform requires some external solutions, Brights was able to easily integrate outside services into the platform, such as payment processors, social networks, mailing services, and more.

In addition to the design, development, and integration work provided by Brights, they also provided assistance with the setup of our Google Analytics account, SEO optimization advice, and a number of marketing and promotional recommendations, which were analyzed by our team, and some of which ultimately integrated into our platform.

My platform is currently still in the development phase.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

As our team had a project manager, our project has been running extremely smoothly. The project manager has made sure that the team is always on the same page and consistently meeting deadlines. Obstacles and delays identified by the Brights team were immediately communicated to us, which we greatly appreciated and resulted in a much more efficient process.

To hold weekly meetings, we used Google Hangouts and to communicate more regularly, we used WhatsApp and Clickup. Although English is the second or third language for most of the Brights team, all Brights employees take weekly English classes. As a result, we have not encountered any language barriers at all throughout our project, and communication has always been clearly given and received by all parties.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

What I am most impressed with about Brights is how knowledgeable and involved the entire team is in my project. Every weekly meeting we have includes all team members and everyone always has something to bring to the table. Each member of the team seems to have their own specific skill sets, which are identified and utilized in order to make the project more efficient and effective as a whole.

The project manager is doing an incredible job at ensuring that everything is organized, communications are constant and clear, and that the entire team is always on the same page. Additionally, I am extremely pleased with how hands-on the CTO of Brights is. He attends almost every one of our weekly meetings and his technical and business skills are extremely apparent every time he contributes to our team discussions. Having someone of his expertise involved in our project on a daily basis has helped us to more quickly identify a number of effective solutions to obstacles that we encountered, in turn making our entire project that much more efficient.

We were also extremely impressed with how quickly the entire team was able to understand our platform and business model with extremely limited prior experience in the industry. The Brights team seems to enjoy working on our project, which has made this process that much more pleasurable.

There isn’t anything that we have been unhappy with thus far, and definitely no major improvement points or red flags.
