After launching our site, we saw an increase of about 70% online reservations and 80% online orders.

We directly dealt with the designer, whether it was via email or phone call and she was readily available. We also talked to the owner himself constantly throughout the process. Everything was done as we wanted, and within the target timeline if not sooner.

We’re a real estate investment trust that’s publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange. Our business acquires and develops retail net lease real estate. I’m the chief investment officer.

We needed to build a website that properly communicated our updated branding and messaging to the market while being informative and engaging to visitors.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Using our existing site for context on our company, they built our new site from the ground up. They handled both the design and development of the new WordPress site.

We wanted the site to be sticky and engaging. They implemented a landing page with a 3D video that takes people through what we consider the retail store of the future. Their team also made it possible for visitors to sort and search our 1,129 properties. They built a slick map containing the properties, allowing for visitors to zoom into a particular state and view our various stores. 

We also built an industry insights page, which is complete with a carousel that scrolls through insights from our team and the market.

Lastly, as a publicly-traded company, we needed to have an investor page. Their team worked together with the investment community to ensure the page linked to the correct external platforms without creating disruptions for users.

Our past experience with them was positive, and we could always count on responsiveness from them. Because we were working with a short timeline, were needed a team that would stick to timelines and deliver against expectations. We know they could live up to those expectations.

We worked together on the site from August 2020–January 2021. While the site is launched, they’re still helping us with ongoing maintenance.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve received positive feedback from employees, customers, tenants, and our board. They’re impressed with the creative, cutting-edge quality of the work and how easy the site is to navigate. We also use Google Analytics to track page views and user flow. By those measures, they’ve far exceeded our expectations.  

How did BMG Media Co. perform from a project management standpoint?

We logged changes and solutions in a shared Google Sheet. That allowed us to give feedback and have questions answered in real-time. When needed, we communicated through email. However, their project management made extra communication unnecessary until the very end of the project. Their responsiveness was quick, and Blake remained at the forefront of communications, which we appreciated.

They underpromised and over-delivered. We could count on them following through on their promises. It’s so rare to find agencies that don’t miss a single deadline, but they kept up.

We’re mainly concerned with the functionality of the system, and BMG delivered exactly what we wanted. The team has been great to work with.

The timing was a little off, but some of that had to do with me and some of it had to do with the code. It wasn’t a big deal, because the quality was there and the end product looks good. 

We keep in touch over the phone and over email. During development, we had routine meetings, but now that we’ve launched, we just meet as needed. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

BMG was able to take my vision and make it 10 times better than what I imagined.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could work a bit on timing, but at the end of the day, the product was perfect. I couldn’t ask for anything to be sped up any more than it already was.

They accomplished exactly what we needed to accomplish. Their team got us off of an old platform and onto a new platform and gave us a fresh new look.

We get feedback on our site from our central franchisees. The website’s the first thing that looks at when they’re thinking about buying a franchise. First impressions digitally are important to us. That’s the biggest advantage to having our new website.

They implemented our new brand and imagery everywhere, from our membership branding documents to the design concepts for our dining area. What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our member count went from 150 to 400 over the period of time that BMG Media Co. worked with us, and we couldn’t have grown that way without them. The new member base coincided with our vision for the club and BMG Media Co.’s branding work.

We’ve received incredible feedback. BMG Media Co. delivered a complete 180-degree transformation; whereas customers used to walk into a 1970s country club, they’re now entering what feels like a modern, white marble hotel.

How did BMG Media Co. perform from a project management standpoint?

BMG Media Co. performed on an extremely high level. They weren’t just reactive to what we as the customer asked for; instead, they were proactive and encouraging. They gave us new ideas. The team helped us to evolve and execute our original vision while keeping our current members satisfied. During the rebrand, I was in contact with Blake almost every day via telephone, text, or email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They connect on a personal level for long-term relationship building.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I do not.

Any advice for potential customers?

Know that they’re very proactive. If you need to execute something within a certain timeframe, they’ll get it done, which isn’t usually the case in this industry.
