Build a robust platform to permit local residents to ask and upvote questions and receive personalized video responses from city leaders. This was built on a mobile and desktop web environment to make the page easily accessible and dynamic to work on any device.

They were able to successfully build a working MVP and eventually expand it into a scalable product used by cities nationally. Our clients are all impressed with the ease and thoughtfulness of the UX, has improved our outcome in selling to potential clients.

They were great to work with; personable, reliable, and helpful in providing guidance. On occasion, they would deliver items a bit late but make up for it with after-hours work that was high quality.

Responsiveness and keeping to deadlines are items they could work a bit on. It never hurt our relationship but was the topic of conversation multiple times.

We sought to develop a web-based application that would allow for improved project management, staff management, organization, and data tracking and analysis. We were using a SASS product and outgrew it, so we decided to create our own. Our new tool tracks all aspects of our work and eliminates redundancies in our operations, saving time and mitigating the risk of missing or siloed data. 

In addition, we have expanded the platform to improve services for our clients. We aim to achieve this by providing them with better access to data, enhancing communications, and creating new centralized organization and automated communication capabilities where little to no such capabilities exist.

B&T has been very responsive to our needs, responding in real-time for the most part. Each step of the process was clearly detailed, tracked, and shared. Understanding different billing rates for different services and tracking true to cost to estimates has been a challenge, but a good portion of that is on us due to the limited and inexperienced resources we were able to contribute to the project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

B&T has considerable knowledge about their industry. They provide meaningful and impactful recommendations, even outside of the project scope. They are patient and have taken the time to educate and understand. They are incredibly flexible and seem to work around the clock. Any project delays have been self-inflicted, they've always been ready and willing to address issues as quickly as possible.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Blood & Treasure, LLC could have done differently?

It has been difficult to track billing. There are different rates for different services, which is understandable, but there have been some unanticipated costs that were not originally estimated. How this information is tracked and shared could be improved. However, if we had been more knowledgeable and more on top of things, this feedback would probably would be less of a concern.

Blood and Treasure was contracted to migrate our old WordPress website to Webflow. As part of this migration, they ensured that the website maintained the same look, feel, and functionality as the old site. Additionally, the new website needed to be faster than the old website, which was achieved by several orders of magnitude.

• Migration of website from WordPress to Webflow
• Custom website page functionality reproduced on Webflow
• Email services deployed and functioning
• Successful integration of Webflow, AWS, and other necessary services

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

The project was largely delivered on time. Blood and Treasure delivered a migrated website a little more than a week after starting the work. After that, they worked with us to fix, change, and finalize other details about the site. They were extremely responsive to our change requests and could deliver the changes without extra revisions. They did deliver major deliverables when they said they would.

There are two things I found most impressive about the company:

1. Responsiveness to our needs and the desire to get things right
2. Competent staff that could deliver a high-quality final product on time

Nothing immediately comes to mind. Even if something did not work right, Blood and Treasure put in the effort to troubleshoot and correct the issue as fast as possible. That is a sign of a professional outfit.
