The project involved designing and developing a dedicated website for my book, A Year Of Iron And Pixels. Key deliverables included a visually engaging, story-driven website that showcases the book, its concept and imagery, with a strong focus on typography, layout and visual storytelling. The site also included custom interactive features, including a live book counter, responsive design across devices, and clear pathways for visitors to learn about and purchase the book.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The main sign of success was having a website that felt true to the book and its message while also being simple for visitors to use. We wanted the site to work well on both desktop and mobile, make it easy for people to learn about the book, and provide a smooth path to purchase through Shopify.
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
They were very reliable throughout the project. They consistently met agreed deadlines, communicated clearly at each stage, and were responsive whenever I had questions, feedback or changes. They were also proactive in addressing issues as they came up and worked collaboratively to find solutions. Overall, the project was well managed from start to finish, and I always felt that my needs and feedback were being taken seriously.

What stood out most was their responsiveness, friendliness, and technical capabilities. They were always approachable and quick to respond, while also demonstrating a strong ability to understand the requirements and turn ideas into practical, well-executed solutions. Their combination of communication, flexibility and technical expertise made the collaboration particularly smooth.
Are there any areas for improvement or something Binarygrace could have done differently?
No major areas for improvement from my side. We all delivered on our respective parts of the project, communicated well throughout, and worked together effectively to bring the website to completion.

Scope of Work
Development of a fully responsive WordPress portfolio website based on the approved Figma designs for NI-CO Studio. The project includes a custom WordPress theme, ACF Pro integration, and an editable CMS for text, images, GIFs, and Vimeo videos. The website will include a Homepage, About page, Project pages, and Contact section. The build will be responsive across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices, with subtle CSS-based animations, Vimeo integration, performance optimisation, and an SEO-friendly structure. A staging environment will be provided for review and approval throughout development.
Stages
Stage 1 – Foundation & Homepage WordPress setup, theme development, CMS structure implementation, homepage development, and initial animation implementation. Review and approval prior to commencement of the next stage.
Stage 2 – Project Pages Development of portfolio and project page templates, implementation of flexible media components supporting images, GIFs, and Vimeo videos, and completion of the content management system. Review and approval prior to commencement of the next stage.
Stage 3 – Finalisation & Launch Development of the About page and Contact section, responsive optimisation across devices, testing, performance refinement, final review, and website launch.
Handover
Delivery of a fully functional WordPress website with the ability to independently add projects and edit content. Includes 30 days of post-launch bug-fix support.
Client Responsibilities
Provision of the Figma file, content, media assets, ACF Pro licence, hosting access, and timely feedback during milestone reviews.

We checked in regularly throughout the project, including three formal review stages, which helped keep everything aligned with the original design and requirements.
