Introduce your business and what you do there.

I am the marketing director for the Maryland Manufacturing Extension Partnership (Maryland MEP). We are a national nonprofit organization focused on growing and strengthening Maryland manufacturing.

What challenge were you trying to address with Bimeo Digital?

We hired Bimeo Digital for website development.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I do a lot of our website design, and Bimeo Digital helps with custom coding and anything else outside of our expertise. The website is all template based through WordPress. I've designed it, and Bimeo Digital is customizing it. Our website is mainly informational-based, with registration pages for various trainings and programs that we do. It also hosts links to other training platforms that we have created.

The Bimeo Digital team has been very helpful in setting up customized branding that falls outside the normal template-based builders. Bimeo Digital is also responsible for all of our website hosting and management.

What is the team composition?

I work with 2–3 people from the Bimeo Digital team.

How did you come to work with Bimeo Digital?

It is an old friend of mine.

How much have you invested in them?

We have spent anywhere from $5,000–$10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began the partnership around January 2019, and it is still ongoing. Before that, we had Bimeo Digital as needed, but then we started working with them on an annual basis.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Bimeo Digital has been able to achieve what we were looking for, and our website traffic has grown exponentially.

How did Bimeo Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

All the work has been delivered on time and within the budget.

We’d like to shout out Cody (Owner & Lead Developer).

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’ve been impressed with their overall knowledge of everything digital. We’ve also appreciated their attentiveness to detail and quick turnaround.

There's nothing that I can think of.

As a manufacturer of custom items, we needed to create a new website that would be both user-friendly for our customers and efficient for the creation of our factory tickets. Bimeo was able to work with us on our website design to match those needs for our extensive product line. We are also a small business with customers nationwide.

It was important to ramp up our SEO and marketing efforts to create new business and match the loyal customer base we had obtained locally. Our web orders have proven that Bimeo was able to reach those SEO and marketing goals quickly and we continue to work closely with their staff to ensure we continue to grow.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

243% increase in web orders since starting with Bimeo (2019).

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

Requests and tasks were answered and completed promptly by them. Quarterly meetings have allowed us to review the project together and set new goals. It was beneficial for both sides to see our progress and make adjustments along the way. It was also helpful to see the reports generated by Bimeo so that we knew what we wanted to put our money and focus towards with our ongoing marketing strategies.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Most impressive was Bimeo's willingness to alter their process to meet our needs. We have hundreds of customizable products, many of which are different from the last. We often have a new project or item that requires a new strategy and Bimeo continues to deliver.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Bimeo Digital could have done differently?

As a small business, it was quite intimidating to take a leap and create a new website and digital marketing strategy. Much of the work needed to be done was over our heads and made it difficult to commit to the strategy we had developed with Bimeo. They saw that we needed something more tangible to trust that process and created reports at different milestones.

This allowed us to see the progress being made by the numbers and then commit to the next step. I think this will allow them to continue to improve with their new customers as many of us in need of their services may have similar apprehensions.
