At Big Red Jelly, we held weekly meetings to collaborate and build our startup brand together. The first phase of the process was Brand Discovery. This allowed us to share all the essential details of our business with Big Red Jelly. They provided us with thought-provoking questions that helped us dive deep into understanding what our business truly stood for. We had several meetings to carefully discuss these insights before moving on to the next phase.
Next, we entered the Brand Core, Expression, Identity, and Guide stage. This is where everything we had discussed came together. We focused on defining our brand’s core values, tagline, logo, color palette, and more. It was a transformative phase, where we moved from conceptualizing to creating a tangible brand. Throughout this process, we continued our weekly meetings to review, discuss, and refine any elements that didn’t feel quite right, ensuring we loved every part of our brand
The final phase of our startup journey was building our website. Big Red Jelly seamlessly integrated all the assets they created for us into a stunning new website. We continued our weekly meetings during this phase, where we had productive discussions about our vision for the site. We were able to provide feedback and request changes, ensuring the website reflected exactly what we wanted. I’ve never worked with a company to build branding before, so this was a completely new experience for me. Despite several explanations, we still find ourselves unclear about the specific services Big Red Jelly provides during the Growth phase. To improve, it would be helpful to make these distinctions more transparent. As a business, we’d like a clear understanding of what marketing efforts we need to handle ourselves and how Big Red Jelly will assist us in reaching our goals.

They were very well organized and had a system for producing the desired results. Things were delivered in a very timely manner. They responded well with the naming, vision, and color design process. When we started working on the screen layout, they initially did not all get what we were trying to convey. However, once they figured out they were missing the mark, they quickly pivoted and adjusted things to make sure that our needs were met. It was impressive and reassuring to see.

What I found most impressive / unique well the have analyzed the process and systemized it, so that it makes the process flow very well. The fact that when we didn't follow the standard customer pattern they were able to pivot and adjust well was a close second.

Don't be quite so ingrained in the process that you forget to listen to the customer. If they say this isn't what I'm looking for, don't make them repeat it. You're they to meet their needs, not just follow your process. However, you did eventually listen and adjust and that was good.

Brothers Josh, Zach, and Ben Webber founded Big Red Jelly in September of 2017 with the vision of applying their industry experience in design and business development to create a new kind of agency that cut away the fluff and fat that many other creative agencies push on their clients. They believed that results and creativity aren’t mutually exclusive, so Big Red Jelly was built on the foundation of three pillars: applied creativity, efficiency, and real results.
