Maksim’s role involved the full design of our MVP UI, from initial concept to a fully animated prototype. The project entailed daily collaboration, where Maksim met with me and my cofounder every business day at 9am to review progress, discuss feedback, and ensure alignment with our vision.

1. Daily Progress and Alignment: Maksim’s consistent meetings with me and my cofounder at 9am every business day kept the project on track. We were able to review deliverables in real-time, address feedback promptly, and ensure the design was aligned with our goals. This consistent collaboration significantly accelerated our design timeline, allowing us to move forward quickly.

2. Low-Fidelity Wireframes Approval: The initial low-fidelity wireframes were completed and approved within two weeks, providing a clear user flow and structure for both the Partner and consumer experiences. This milestone helped guide the next phase of high-fidelity designs with confidence.

3. High-Fidelity Wireframes Delivered on Time: Maksim delivered the high-fidelity wireframes ahead of schedule, ensuring we had a polished UI ready to present to stakeholders and begin internal testing. Maksim's project management was solid, and overall, we had no complaints. While we were behind schedule by about two weeks, it was a manageable delay that didn't significantly impact the broader project timeline. Despite the delay, Maksim consistently responded to our needs in a timely and professional manner. His responsiveness was excellent, whether it involved quick adjustments based on our feedback or addressing unforeseen changes. He was always available to meet, provide updates, and ensure we stayed aligned on the project’s goals.

What stood out most about Arounda was their responsiveness and direct communication. They consistently delivered exactly what we needed, without unnecessary back and forth. Additionally, we appreciated that Maksim had access to internal designers within the company, allowing him to get valuable feedback and ensure that the work met our expectations. This collaborative approach, combined with their efficiency, made the experience smooth and productive.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Arounda could have done differently?

While Arounda delivered exactly what we asked for, which worked well for our MVP, we noticed that they often stuck strictly to the provided scope. In future projects, a bit more initiative in suggesting improvements or alternative ideas could be beneficial. Additionally, during the creation of the high-fidelity wireframes, there were a few instances where small changes were made in one part of the design but weren’t consistently replicated across other areas. However, these were minor issues and didn’t significantly impact the overall outcome.

Arounda was great at delivering within the expected timeframes. They were flexible enough to be able to work around some of the things we were behind on to not get stuck since we had a hard date for the launch of our brand and site. Items were of great quality - very happy with the deliveries. 

Few mistakes, which are inevitable, in the process were handled very quickly by the PM and their team. We had missed some items in our scoping, and Arounda was super helpful in getting us a resource to assist before launch. Very pleased with the assistance!

The speed and "no-bs" way of getting results. We were able to achieve output that typically can take 5x as long. They truly cared about the end result and did not just focus on "what was scoped." Agility and helpfulness are something that I am truly pleased with.

Testing/QC, we had a few snags that I felt like should have been caught earlier. The team adjusted, and we found solutions to the problem. They also helped without cost - so no biggy. For billing, the process was a bit complicated, so either the ability to pay using a credit card/stripe - or provide invoices with swift-code per default, etc. These are minor things.

I hired Arounda to design the UI/UX of our mobile app and admin panel.

What was the scope of their involvement?
Arounda helped us with the wireframing and flow of the app. We shared some of the work we’d done prior to the engagement. We had an earlier version of the app, so we shared those screens with them.
 
Moreover, we shared a promo video we put together and the color palette we were hoping to use. Our team gave them quite a bit of information alongside the website that was already up and running. For user personas, we already had an ideal subject in mind, and the team helped flesh that out a bit more. They created the designs using Figma.

We worked with a project coordinator, Anastasia (UI/UX designer), and a couple of other team members. A sales representative was involved, alongside two other designers.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
In terms of discovery and conceptualization, Arounda presented great ideas. In building the designs, they were quite good at working through the app’s flow and ensuring we got everything we needed for the UX. They did quite a bit of work for the app’s UI and went beyond the initial scope of the project. Overall, we were happy with the designs and how they turned out.
How did Arounda perform from a project management standpoint?
Arounda’s project management style was great. We mutually agreed to extend a little bit, but they did everything that they said they’d do. The project coordinator was good at communicating. There were a few moments where we were unclear on some things, but they provided clarity and ensured everything was done. Meanwhile, Anastasia had a great work ethic, and she always went the extra mile to ensure we were happy. To communicate, we used Slack and emails.

Their communication was extremely strong.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there weren’t any. As time went on, they gained a clearer understanding of our goals and intentions for the project. They did what we needed them to do.

We were seeking a talented and experienced UX/UI design team to help us create wireframes and designs for our upcoming web application, Sinta. Sinta is a software platform for interviewing teams that aims to revolutionize the way businesses approach hiring.

The goal is to reduce time spent on hiring cycles and make the process more efficient for both the interviewer and the interviewee. The design team will be working with user stories and existing brand guidelines to create designs that will be used to share with our engineers in building out a beta launch of our tool come April.

User experience is a big focus for us and we were looking for someone who had a background in designing web applications with an artistic background, user experience oriented and is open to feedback.
