I am a solution architect at a fintech company based in Zagreb, Croatia.

For what projects/services did your company hire Codable Studio, and what were your goals?

We hired Codable Studio to develop a mobile application for our client INA d.d. (Croatia's largest oil company). The application serves as fronted to the payment platform we developed for INA.

Codable came highly recommended by our partner company.

The outcome of the project was a mobile application for iOS and Android platforms that enables customers to pay for the fuel outside of the fuel station shop. Codable Studio was provided with wireframes and API documentation. The UI design and API were integrated and also modified as per Codable's recommendation. The product was delivered in several steps through a test environment set up be the vendor.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We had a product manager assigned to interact with our teams. The product manager then in turn communicated our requests to 2 iOS and Android developers.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We had a ready application prototype that met our demands within 2 months from the project's start. This was well within our expectations and the end customer was very pleased with the project delivery timeline.

Project was executed in an agile manner. Vendor's teams are easy to communicate with and quick to address any outstanding issues. We communicated mostly by Slack, Google Meet, and e-mail. In-person meetings were rare and not really necessary.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are a small and agile company that's quick to deliver high-quality solutions. We also do in-house mobile development, but we hired Codable as we lacked the resources to complete this project. From our standpoint, they did a great job.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing comes to mind right now.

Vendor was highly recommended by one of the partner firms. We conducted several technical interviews and chose the vendor based on skills presented.

Vendor was provided with wireframes and designs and we had several meetings where we discussed milestones and objectives. Vendor continuously delivered builds of iOS and Android apps per milestones agreed demonstrating progress. Apps were integrated with crypto trading platform and included features likes push notifications, contacts handling, digital identity binding and similar

iOS and Android developers, both working on their version of the app. Both developers were only resources on the project for their platforms.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Apps were to be used internally by the client and the client was happy with all the deliverables, quality and timeline wise.

Project was managed using agile methodology. We used Trello for ticket management and Slack and email for communication. Vendor's team was very easy to communicate with and they constantly delivered new features within timelines set.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision. Their development skills were impressing and they were able to easily adapt to any changes in requirements. They were easy to communicate with and dedicated to the project, which made working with them very pleasant.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing I can think of.

Since we are design based firm (no dev section) we hired Codable for development of the app we designed.

We did cooperate with Codable on few projects earlier and because of good results we picked them as trusted partner for this task.

Design handoff, daily syncs, iOS/Android native apps, features: tracking diet, meal plans, shopping list (generated and manually added), chat/comments directly with nutritionist, design update (v2)

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Apps are not live just yet, but client is more than satisfied with the outcome. Mobile consumer apps are communicating with nutritionist admin desktop app, we managed to cover almost every case in their workflow and automatized them, previously everything was done manually. No product like this on the market yet.

Daily stand ups with one developer from each platform, project manager from our side and backend developer as third party. We use Slack, Google meet and Trello for communication and organisation.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are small company just as we are, because of that generally atmosphere is really friendly. They are approachable, open to all of our questions, and always willing to learn and push on.

A bit more attention to design details (e.g. paddings, font style) to shorten design QA phase

We hired Aras Digital Products to design our web solution, including both landing pages of the website and platform where users can buy and sell their cryptos. They also created our branding and whole digital communication.

We loved the product they have delivered. Based on the UX/UI design they made.

They were easy to communicate with, they gave us daily updates, and we had multiple meetings a week, even though timezones weren’t easy to manage. Aras Digital Products' team made sure we had our hands in every part of the process. Also, they planned several sprints ahead, which helped all of us to be more efficient. If there was any problem, they were ahead of it, because of the great planning.
