The project began with HTML/CSS to build the basic blog, then moved to Astro with Dato CMS for content management. A design system was created to ensure consistency across the site. Documentation, changelog, and glossary pages were added in the following phase.

Finally, the Aras Digital team helped us with the final design touches on the landing page and implemented it fully. Each phase focused on functionality, consistency, and UX.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We were able to quickly roll out our blog, which was the main point of communication we used to keep our community up to date. Combining the quality of our tools with the speed in which we could involve the community allowed Daytona to reach over 7000 Github stars as an open-source project.

The website Lighthouse score was all 100s on Accessibility, SEO, and Best Practices, which proved our website is optimized for performance and search engine discovery.

Design all screens and UX for PaperKarma's In-App Event "Earth Day Effort 2023", where PaperKarma pledged to plant a tree for every purchase and based off defined in-app engagement actions. 

This project was extremely time sensitive (2 weeks) and required developing an onboarding flow for new vs. existing users and unique gamification elements for encouraging in-app actions. All in-app actions needed to sync with existing functionality and not overwhelm existing users.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Designs were delivered by deadline in Figma, with documentation, and responsive variants (iPhone SE, iPad) in addition to standard screen size. We looped in our development team far in advance of deadline to get sign off on design, and final design was therefore completed exactly as we needed.

The in-app event was featured by the App Store in 2 prominent locations, which speaks to the quality of the design created. This feature allowed us to meet our business goals for the in-app Event.

After a kick-off call, my team submitted the project brief and sample screens to demonstrate the concept for the in-app event. We had a 1 hour call to review the brief together and discuss potential flows. 

Within 1 week we received the first draft of design concepts and all screens required. We had a follow up call with our lead developer and the Aras team to ensure fit. The final deliverable came less than a week later, ahead of the deadline. The team was responsive on Slack for minor discussion points during the project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They provided many different design options for us, all of which were high quality, in a very fast and timely manner. We were immediately able to identify a winning concept and proceed with rest of design. I really appreciated having multiple high quality options to select from. When it came to discussing complex in-app workflows, the team was very impressive.

 They didn't have a lot of time to get up to speed on the app (which has a lot of complex options) but were remarkably observent and diligent in their meetings with us, where we explained the concept and sample ways of making it work. This is a very talented team of high performers who "just get it" when it comes to design. 

Thoughtful professionals that easily assess what information they need and then get to work and deliver. The Aras team is straightforward, efficient and produces design outputs of the highest quality. Very easy to work with.

I’m a firefighter and a first class officer in a station in the Fire Department of Split, Croatia. We also organize humanitarian action. For example, we collect money for medical devices needed for children in our city hospital.

Our city has a local football club, and we saw a pattern we liked in their designs. We discovered Aras Digital Products was the team's web development and design provider, so we found them on Google and called them.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We posted pictures and links to our shirts on Facebook, and they’ve gone viral in Croatia.We’ve sold 3,500 shirts and collected 600,000 Croatian kunas (approximately $80,000 USD). As a result, the medical devices we’ve raised money for are on their way to the city hospital. Aras Digital Products provides everything we need. This is the second year we’re working with them in humanitarian actions, and this year’s project is three times bigger than the last.

Their project management has been perfect. I have their number to contact them immediately, and they always answer the phone within a few minutes and provide solutions. We also use Slack for everything that needs to be documented and email for other communication.

We often hire partners when we need additional developers and designers for certain projects, either because we need special expertise or we don’t have someone in-house who can do it. One of those partners has been Codable Studio.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We’ve worked with Codable Studio on 3–4 projects. For the latest one, they provided us with mobile development support to develop an iOS-based entertainment app to share audio files for a client in the US.

On this project, Codable Studio collaborated with our team throughout the design, development, and delivery phases, sharing responsibilities. Our internal team was in charge of creating the documentation and wireframes and providing them to Codable Studio. Then, they were responsible for the development phase, focusing on mobile engineering, QA, and project management. Now, we’re thinking about engaging with them again to develop an Android version.

We worked with five people from Codable Studio on our latest project, including a project manager, a QA engineer, and three developers.

We were introduced to them by a friend a while ago, and we’ve had a very good collaboration since then. Now, we practically hire them for most of our mobile development needs.

We’ve worked on some projects on which Codable Studio has faced our clients directly. After those projects, we’ve received great feedback from clients on their work, communication skills, and organization and planning capabilities.

Regarding bug fixing and troubleshooting, Codable Studio’s team is excellent at communicating challenges and fixing issues as soon as possible. Their QA engineers have also demonstrated excellent testing processes. Their approach helps us deliver quality work at a fair price. Overall, we’re 100% satisfied with their work, and we will definitely keep hiring them in the future.

Codable Studio has delivered on time on our multiple projects. Their communication is always excellent, and they’re very collaborative with our team. As I mentioned, they’re very good at planning and executing those plans, so we’re very satisfied with their services.

Our last 12-month project had around 22 sprint cycles, and Codable Studio was never behind in any of those. Whenever we needed to change plans, we were very communicative and upfront, which allowed us to avoid hiccups. Throughout the project, we used Jira, Slack, Google Workplace, and Figma to manage the project and communicate.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Codable Studio’s overall quality is impressive. They’re very skilled and knowledgeable, and they deliver quality work. We always feel that we’re in good hands, which is why we keep hiring them.

We first contracted Aras Digital Products to design and develop our website. Later, that evolved into a multi-year relationship. They became our main consultant for everything digital.

We also worked on multiple iterations of the website, they built specific web applications for us and helped us communicate with other developers when we needed someone to mediate.

One of the largest projects we worked on with Aras Digital Products was digitalization of Hajduk, where they helped us start Hajduk TV, move almost all of our ticketing business to the website and helped us with membership loyalty programs.

Later that year, Hajduk reached new membership heights - the previous record of 43.000 members was passed, and is now moving almost towards 75.000

Hajduk.hr is recognized as one of the best sports club websites in Croatia, it’s popular for its simplicity andreadability. We received a lot of compliments from the users for the UX design of the website.

I’m working as a QA tester for the mobile app. Codable Studio is performing well. They suggest improvements and are pretty proactive in their approach. Also, they use the most recent technologies, so I don’t have any doubts about their abilities.

How did Codable Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management is excellent. Communication is easy and concrete. We use Jira as a ticketing system and Flick for regular, daily communication. Additionally, we use Bitbucket.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their delivery is swift; they’re two times faster than our internal development team. Moreover, when we agree on a deadline, it’s respected.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there’s nothing I’d have them improve. Their knowledge is excellent, and they’re professional. I don’t even notice when a new person is added to the team.
