Our apps were successfully refactored, and our users love it. It is now easy to work with the code and extend it further.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
We interacted with Guru directly but had free rein to chat with the engineers, too. They were respectful, communicative, and very available.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
I've worked with quite a few offshores contractors as a startup and have seen the spectrum of service, from "nightmare" to "pleasure to work with."
At the worst end, there are teams that do a terrible job, ask for more money while holding code hostage, and never deliver. At the opposite extreme are teams that build what they promise (at the agreed price), work hard to fix any errors they make, and do a thorough examination to make sure that things work as they should.
Guru and his team fall in the second category. They helped us refactor and rebuild the frontend for our iOS app, ClassCalc. They are a pleasure to work with, and I know that when I ask them to build "x" for "y" dollars in "z" time, that they will build "x," it will only cost "y" dollars, and they will build it in as close to "z" time as possible.
