I’m the founder and CEO of a lost-and-found platform. The platform allows users to post pictures of things they find or search for things they lose.

I needed someone to develop the platform within a one-to-two-month deadline and a limited budget.

What was the scope of their involvement?
Al Akhzir Tech (Pvt) Ltd. developed my website and Android mobile app. They also handle upgrades and maintenance. The utility website was built using HTML5 and CSS. In Pakistan, there’s currently a big crisis with the increasing number of missing children. The platform allows users to create alerts about their lost-and-found items, as well as missing children.

My main point of contact was the CEO.

I was considering a few different developers, but they had the most value for the cost.

What is the status of this engagement?
Our partnership lasted from September–December 2019.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The platform’s quality is good and the Google Play Store has publicized it. I won’t be able to assess the true impact until a month or two from now. Right now in its beta version, the app is currently performing well. Overall, I’m 80% satisfied. The 20% of dissatisfaction is due to the product’s late delivery.
How did Al Akhzir Tech (Pvt) Ltd. perform from a project management standpoint?
We communicate through WhatsApp and telephone calls.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The platform was the first lost-and-found app in Pakistan. Al Akhzir Tech (Pvt) Ltd. was the first to understand what we wanted and was supportive of our vision. I respect them and am satisfied with their work.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There were some time constraints that weren’t followed, so we were delayed by almost one month. I would’ve liked the project’s completion to be a little quicker.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I’m going to continue going to them for any projects I have — you should too.
