We needed help with business development and lead generation to increase our brand presence.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Abstrakt Marketing Group has been helping us remotely with our social media content and lead generation through cold calling. We started by explaining our business to them, the type of clients we wanted, the markets we wanted to target, and how we wanted to address all of that with lead generation.

For the cold calling, they create the script and the leads list based on the information we give them and the research they do. Abstrakt Marketing Group’s team also records the conversations so we can listen to them and give our feedback to ensure that they’re hitting the right targets.

In addition, they’ve done web design for us to ensure that all of our marketing materials looked the same and portrayed the same message.

We’ve worked with around six members of their team, including their director of recruiting, a marketing collateral project manager, a success manager, and a virtual marketing manager.

So far, we’ve spent $400,000 with them.

We started working together in March 2017, and the engagement is ongoing.

They guarantee us 1–2 appointments every week — their work helps the day-to-day of our business.

How did Abstrakt Marketing Group perform from a project management standpoint?

They meet deadlines and stay within budget. Regarding communication, we use emails and monthly Zoom meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their team is great; they’re hardworking employees that have devotion to customer service, which reflects when they’re trying to convert leads for us. They have an overall energetic and positive attitude.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be engaged as a client. Don’t just hire them and expect them to bring in a ton of business. Spend time collaborating and explaining your business and expectations.

They appeared to have good systems internally, just could not deliver on their agreement.

Is there any area for improvement or anything that could have been done differently?

Thinking about using Abstrakt Marketing Group for your outbound marketing? I'd think again. Here's why... I attempted to use Abstrakt for some outbound marketing but they were unable to fulfill their contractual obligation to us. We are a cybersecurity company and it turns out, they can't even say the word "cybersecurity" on their calls, which is a huge problem for us. We had just started our onboarding and were only about 2 weeks in when we discovered this.

Tried to work with them on using some "alternate language" but we were unable to get something viable working and so asked for a refund of the $3,750 we spent for nothing and cancellation. They so far have NOT refunded our money and their demeanor changed drastically once we ran into an issue and I started asking for a refund. My sales rep Yoonjae has been less than helpful in getting this resolved.

Very disappointed in Abstrakt and it's apparent that their true colors come out when there is an issue and they care more about a few thousand dollars than in doing the right thing and issuing a refund since no actual services were performed. I would look elsewhere if you are thinking about outsourcing your outbound marketing and avoid Abstrakt as a company. how you do anything is how you do everything. no thanks.

After posting my initial feedback, I worked closely with Abstrakt’s leadership team to address the concerns I had with our partnership. While the results did not fully meet my original expectations, they’ve taken steps to resolve the issues we raised and honored the terms of our agreement.

Per the contractual agreement they were supposed to deliver the following in a 12 month period:

-2 qualified sales leads/appointments per month (24 annually)

-After the 12 month period, if they did not generate the guaranteed number of leads they are to work for no fee until they meet their obligation

After falling behind on their agreement only a few months in, we were assigned a new "partner success manager". We were supposed to have monthly updates so that they could tell us their plan to fulfill their obligation. That did not happen. More excuses were made. At the 12 mont mark we were put on "free status" until they fulfilled thier agreement. It has been over 5 months and no updates or new leads have been generated
