What challenge were you trying to address with Dev Centre House?

My previous website was done by another developer. It worked well initially, but, over time, I stopped getting the services and level of response I was hoping for. If something needed attention or service, the response time was very slow. I decided to part ways with that developer and build a new website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Dev Centre House built my new website. There’s a lot of information on it about the therapy I provide and for whom, including what kinds of issues and difficulties I aim to address. There’s a blog on the site, containing articles I’ve written for newspapers and magazines, transcripts of radio interviews, and more. Users can make appointment inquiries via the site as well.

I was offered other functionalities for the site, including a chatbot. I declined having that because of the nature of my work. I was also offered a Facebook integration, but I don’t use social media for similar reasons.

I worked with one person primarily, but there was one other person from Dev Centre House involved.

How much have you invested with them?

The development cost was around €700 (approximately $825 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

I started working with Dev Centre House in autumn 2019. They developed the site in less than six weeks. I think it could’ve been even shorter, but I’m a bit of a perfectionist. There was nothing wrong with the site, but I went to and fro changing things.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The traffic to the site has increased, and so have appointment inquiries. People have told me that the site looks very good and professional. It looks more modern and has cleaner lines than my old one. It’s more accessible and easier to find information. The layout is much better.

How did Dev Centre House perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re extremely professional and responsive. They got back to me straight away with any queries. We communicated via email and phone. They seemed very flexible in terms of communication channels.

What did you find most impressive about them?

There was a lot that I didn’t understand when it came to the language around developing a website, but Dev Centre House simplified everything for me. They always gave me answers, suggestions, and ideas. That was very impressive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think so, and I certainly would do a project with them again.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

I would recommend them without a doubt, but I don’t know what advice I could give. My experience was that Dev Centre House took over and started the process seamlessly. They worked effectively with me to find out what I needed and what best suited my needs. It didn’t require a lot of work on my part.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The booking system has helped us quite a bit, including the reduction of paid commissions each month. Users are happy with their experience on the app, and there are fewer mistakes in orders.

There has also been positive feedback with the ability to order throughout COVID-19. We’re quite satisfied.

The team did a good job delivering on time. Communication with them has been very easy.

Their experienced team worked closely with us, flexible and responsive to changes we requested. They quickly respond to fix any issues that arise or to point us to the right contact to have them fixed.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Kurd Shopping has got to where we are today, where monthly 2million users using the Kurd Shopping website and apps, and that with help of the Dev Centre House team of developers. They delivered what requested. And now ongoing with a number of new features for our future app release.

Tools, they have us inside their Slack channel, and we see GitHub and ZenHub board of tasks which planed for each sprint.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are very skilled. They have developers who speak a number of languages and some native people in Kurdish. They are very fast at delivering and really good with apps. For that reason, we are ranked the number one platform in Iraq and some other parts of the middle east.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Yes, lower development costs. Prices are high because they are in Ireland and we are in Kurdistan Iraq.

They responded to our inquiry very efficiently and professionally. DCH also had a comprehensive understanding of our scoping process and how to help execute our thoroughly researched plan and set of interconnected functionalities a year in the making. Further, we did a comprehensive background check, including speaking to several of their past clients. All now turned ambassadors for DCH.

This cuts into our IP and DNA and cannot be addressed. Here too, DCH was outstanding. They fully understand client discretion and the need for tight NDAs. To ensure we retained the military-grade level of confidentiality and encryption embedded in our DNA.
