ZAGG - Invisible Shield
ZAGG reached out to Dev Centre House with several projects in mind to resolve some key business challenges. Most of the projects involved creating a native B2B IOS App and B2B Android tablet application that would allow their customers to print the cover for the phones/tablets on-demand — in addition, later extended to Windows application with a backend admin dashboard and full customer reporting tooling. At Dev Centre House, we work continuously to grow the ZAGG platform and continue to innovate with the latest and best software solutions.

Kurdshopping Platform
Kurd shopping is one of DevCentreHouse huge projects - the online marketplace for the Middle East. For this project, the customer needed a complete new CMS system, release and build pipeline, infrastructure designed to support the load, a Android and iOS Application. Kurdshopping has over 2 million requests per year! We delivered all of the customer specifications for project success. And as of today, the website is still running with new buyers/sellers everyday!

Mophie - Warranty system
Mophie, a company owned by ZAGG, needed a unified warranty system for their products allowing customers to claim their warranty across all the ZAGG products easily.

I’m the head of R&D at Ei Electronics. We make fire, smoke, and carbon monoxide alarms and sell them all over the world.
What challenge were you trying to address with Dev Centre House?
We’re moving into the digital world. One aspect of this was creating a mobile app.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Dev Centre House helped build our mobile app for both Android and iOS. With the app, users can take some readings and communicate information from their alarm to their phone screen.
For example, if a customer has been away from their house for two weeks, they may not know there’s been a carbon monoxide leak. It’s important for them to know so, they can download information from their alarm onto their phone so they know what’s happening.
What is the team composition?
We worked with Twana (Head of Development) and another developer.
How did you come to work with Dev Centre House?
They found us through cold calling and hard work. I responded and invited their owner to have a coffee. Six months later, the need for the engagement arose so I decided to give them a try.
How much have you invested with them?
We invested around €25,000–€30,000 (approximately $30,000–$36,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
The engagement was from September–November 2020. I’m using internal resources to finish the project, Dev Centre House handled specific parts of it.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ll launch the app when we launch some new alarm products. We want to have the app development completed and ready to go in 2–3 months. Our team has been conducting an internal validation of the app and its quality is quite good. We’re very happy with Dev Centre House’s high-quality work.
How did Dev Centre House perform from a project management standpoint?
We used a model where their engineers worked as part of our team. There wasn’t much project management involved. They were self-motivated and worked independently. I got in direct contact every 1–2 weeks.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Twana was definitely a highlight of the engagement. He’s technically sound and very aware of the technologies and languages of the operating system.

No, nothing comes to mind.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Pick the right commercial model and means of engagement that’s appropriate for your piece of work. They’ll work with you and adapt to what works best for you. Every piece of work is a little different, find what works for you.

We had one engineer and one account executive assigned to deliver our project.

We gained a much higher level of bookings and brand awareness, the phone has not stopped vibrating and ringing since our presence was boosted by DCH, we are very satisfied with the overall outcome of the project.

Their project management skills were very impressive. They worked on our project endlessly it seemed, we even went back and forth on their slack channel on Saturday and Sunday if need be. We were explained a time line of milestones at the beginning and they used zenhub to manage the project milestones and achieved the targets.

Attention to detail was the main thing. We were impressed by how meticulously Dev Centre House approached the details that make sure that we were not only competitive in our space but also gave us an advantage in our field as much as possible.

We started working together in September-November 2020. The process took about three or four weeks.

I’m very happy with the new website. My budget was limited because it was through a grant process. Hopefully, when we get up and running again, we’ll be able to spend more money on it and develop more ideas. The website is easy to use and it’s easy to find the way to order online. It’s easy to follow all the links.

They were very speedy. Communication was very good. It was mostly through email. If I needed to talk on the phone, there were never delays. Dev Centre House answered right away.

There were no delays. They presented things quickly to me. They were very good. My budget probably limited me in what I could do, but if business picks up again and we get back to normal, Dev Centre House has good ideas in the pipeline for us to do. They’re up-to-date on their technology.

The new website is very good. I can’t speak highly enough of them. They’re very quick to add anything based on my suggestions and make changes or improvements. Anything we’ve asked them to do seems to be no problem.
We’ve had several campaigns that have led to a significant increase in telephone calls and other engagement.

Twana is excellent to deal with. He’s always available by phone or email. If I have a specific thing I want to be addressed, he reacts very quickly. He provides me with regular updates as well.

I’m most impressed with their efficiency. If I’m looking at my website and notice something I want to be changed, I can send an email to Dev Centre House and see the changes within 24–48 hours. Also, their pricing is extremely competitive. I couldn’t praise them enough.

I am the owner and director of a company called R&B Concrete Pumping located in Ireland. We provide concrete to builders within Ireland and parts of Northern Ireland.
What challenge were you trying to address with Dev Centre House?
We wanted to build a website, manage our invoices, and get help running Google ad campaigns, Facebook marketing, and the like.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They took care of all of those things for us, from the website to running our marketing campaigns. We just have a set budget every month and they basically do all the keywords, and when queries come in, they manage our inbound. They have an agent who will respond for us because we are on the road all the time. For any leads that come in, they filter them and only send high-quality potential clients to us.
What is the team composition?
I think there is one person who is dedicated to us, but I know there are a few other people involved.
How did you come to work with Dev Centre House?
We heard about them through a referral.
How much have you invested in them?
We pay monthly for advertising. Our bill is usually €1,450 per month (approximately $1,719 USD). Initially, when they set up the website, I think we paid around €7,000 (approximately $8,301 USD) plus VAT.

All the business pretty much comes from our campaigns on Facebook as well as through Google Ads. Our site is ranked first for several keywords.
Overall, I think it has been quite good. I get monthly reports. They send us reports of how many people call, how many people submit forms, and website traffic.

Project management is pretty good. I am pretty happy about it because I don’t need to micromanage them, they work independently.
We have a WhatsApp group, and my drivers get the information on WhatsApp. Any business that comes through that, I know it is from the campaign.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Any time I have needed something, I just pick up the phone and I know they’ll answer and take care of it. They also communicate well. If I ask something, they are able to explain it very well to me. They understand our business very well and can make good suggestions for us as a result.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They could give us weekly updates. I told them that and they said they will do it. Outside of that, I can’t think of anything else. I'm very happy with them and have recommended them to a couple of friends already.

Just trust them. They understand my business and do things on my behalf. I don’t have to worry about anything to do with new leads or business coming in. I just put the budget in and I know I will get a certain number of customers coming in.

The App has successfully allowed me to monitor all incoming submissions, assess photos and details, contact users to discuss issues and successful requests. We have a log of Stored ID's, timeframe for each request and instant back-and-forth communication where necessary.

One of deciding factors was the experience and skills that Twana and his team bring to any project to deliver as efficiently and as cost effective as possible.

The scope of the work was to take multiple data sets and consolidate in to various dashboards that could be manipulated by the user based on individual requirements. There were various levels of access required with different views required against each user level. Project was divided into sprints with requirements for each sprint fully defined and prioritized against the company need. Each sprint was delivered on time and within budget

Improvement in customer satisfaction and reduction on time spent on excel reports from both internal and external perspective. Reduction in one FTE that could be deployed to other projects.

The project is being managed by a series of sprints with a timeline agreed against each sprint. All sprint requirements are clarified and signed off before moving to build to ensure there is no ambiguity in terms of the deliverable. To date Twana and his team have never missed a deadline. All sprint details and progress is recorded on a Trello board which can be accessed at any time by any stakeholder.
All communications are provided in a clear and descriptive manner. Twana and his team also host regular project update meetings and a full demo of the project sprint is provided prior to deployment to production. All changes requested are managed and also recorded via the Trello board again for full visibility
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
What's most impressive is the variety of the skillset available within Twana's team to pretty much deliver whatever is required. There has been very little that this time have not been able to deliver regardless of the ask not only on this project but other projects that I have been involved with. What also stands out is their innovation. Twana and his team are extremely good at working with their customers to take an idea that has been put to them and develop it into something so much better than was originally requested.

No am very happy with the work that has been delivered and continues to be delivered to my company form Twana and his team. Any feedback provided which might help improve the service is taken on board and changes implemented where possible.

We have a large install base for a consumer service globally. We needed a custom software solution to enable a Java version for customers who did not want a mobile OS solution. Dev Centre House was hired to develop this version and also propose how we could further enhance our custom software ecosystem for our customer base.

Dev Centre House showed a passion for the project from the start. They displayed methods in which they could consolidate our roadmap and save time and investment simultaneously. They had a proven track record in which we could rely on with big name brands in their existing client list.

Dev C H developed a sustainable and scalable ecosystem for our company to support our rapidly expanding business across all global regions. For this project, JAVA development was the key tech used.
Also, backend development was key to the success of the overall project. It was all completed within a virtual environment which allowed for sustained validation to ensure continuity of service.

We had access to a broad range of developers (2), UI designers (2), project manager (1), business development manager (1) and the company MD who always ensured the highest level of service was provided.

in the time we started this project our business for this segment increased by 80% YoY. Due to the design and scalability from Dev C H, this was not an issue and we continued to serve and improve without interruption to our client base.

Main project style was Agile. This was used to present to the senior management team to show where each deliverable was at any given time. They employed both formal and informal communication style and adhered to and exceeded timebound tasks for each work task.

Dev C H became part of our team, they were as connected and invested as we were at all times. We have since gone on to keep them on retainer to continue to innovate and iterate our software solution to stay at the pace of the consumer demands.

The services were of high quality and the app is well on its way to being deployed. Dev Centre House worked independently and maintained self-motivation throughout the engagement. They had excellent communication and were very skilled in the technologies and programming languages.
