I’m the managing director of a U.K. e-commerce company.

What was your goal for working with Zinavo Technologies?

The project that was assigned to Zinavo Technologies was to develop my website. It was a Magento content management system. They needed to set it, meet all the requirements, and I sent them a requirements spec and configure the Magento. I sent them everything before the project began, and they sent me a contract agreement for it.

I was superbly disappointed with the work. When the work needed to be started, I referred my friend with a Magento company to work with Zinavo. They also signed a contract with them. After a couple of months, we realized that they took all the money, but never met any of the expectations. I finally got a phone call. The CEO of the company could hardly speak English, and there were very few phone calls.

When you search their website, they come up in Google because they do a lot of work in SEO [search engine optimization]. But, the work was extremely poor, and the coding was very poor. They didn’t meet any expectations, and they didn’t have good quality testing. Every time, we found issues that weren’t corrected. They agreed to complete the project in three months, and they still haven’t finished the project in eight months.

I have all the emails. When I call their office and try to speak to the [CEO] of the company, he was there initially during the contract agreement and setting up the business development part. After that, he was always out of the office or busy. He never returns phone calls. If I want to speak to anyone else, they never return phone calls. The communication was extremely poor.

I gave them a full payment, and I didn’t meet my colleague for four or five months after that. Then, Zinavo advertised my company's logo on their website to get more referrals. Also, on the actual website, they put a link "Designed by …" They have big, massive companies on their website, such as Playboy and other multimillion-dollar companies that they didn’t even do a project for. They just market the logos there to attract customers.

Their prices are quite competitive, and people fall into it, and they have big-name logos on their website saying they designed work for them. When I research the projects more, I saw that was not the case. When you search for Web development companies in India, they come up. When I went to India, I went to their office. It is a small, tiny office and the staff can hardly speak good English. Finally, I do all my work in the U.K. This is a classic bait-and-switch company.

No, because nothing was completed. I can say that I am months behind schedule and losing thousands of dollars due to the delay.

Just what I mentioned before about their lack of development skill and communication.
