I am the Founder/CEO of an Ed-tech company. We work with coaching institutes, schools, and individual students in the K-10 sector to assess and analyze their grasp of concepts taught in school.

Zero UI UX designed our website UI/UX when we started out. They were extremely knowledgeable about the best way to design the website to create a smooth UX. He forced us to think like the customer and this helped us refine our process and product.

We got Mr. Aniket's reference from a website that caters to entrepreneurs in Pune..

We met after we had seen samples of Mr. Aniket's work. We had already made rough wireframes, which helped to outline the product. Mr. Aniket understood these thoroughly. We went through many iterations and discussions after which he designed the UI for our website.

We saw an increase in traffic on our website. The demo was also showcased at an investor event, where it was well received.

At first, Lalit was highly recommended by a colleague in my earlier organisation. During my interaction with him, I realised that he takes a keen interest in requirements and derives simple tasks to get the work done. That was easy and got a direction in the project.

Well, the project focused on UI remodelling and user experience. Today, we have templates to simply map the solution, but in 2014, the user journey had to be experimented with - detailing the functions - ideating in user's next use of the application - simple navigation This is what we focused on.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Today healthcare at Direct Primary care is broken. Zero designed an end to end solution to fuse it together. We demonstrated the solution to our pilot customers and by numbers, they would save $1000-$3000 per practice per month.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Given that they are healthcare experts, we were on listening end. They quickly got up to speed given that they are experts in DPC area. Very fluent, non-jargonish and transparent.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their approach to problem-solving was impressive. They understand the startup hustle and are flexible to accommodate suprises.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing I can think off !

I am Head of the development taking care of all the Development works including existing projects and New Projects from scratch. The company is based out of IIT Madras research park in Chennai.

We'd noticed a decrease in adoption of mobile app we had and also growth of the customer base was not significant. Furthermore we wanted to ready for the future roadmap we have with cutting edge technology supported by a highly intuitive, user friendly mobile app and Dr friendly web application. We hired the vendor to focus specifically to come up with new mobile application.

We also wanted to have a completely revamped UX/UI for the existing web application. Our goal was to have a modern, user-friendly apps.

How did you select Zero UI UX Design?

We have researched in the web for good UI/UX experts in the Healthcare domain and narrowed down on few of the, This vendor came through a reference who is also in the healthcare domain software development. We had excellent feedback about them.

We evaluated all the identified vendors with a sample work and the ideation, understanding of the concept we have given, UI/UX was far too good when compared to others. They have presented the sample with reasoning to us, which enabled us to narrow down them.

The team did intensive study of our business, understood the concept behind our business model, our future goals for the next 5 to 6 years, identified the Personas by conducting interviews with internal stakeholders and also some of our existing customers ex) Dr's, front office staff, other department stake holders and more importantly the patients.

They have presented us the persona use cases in detail, discussed this with our team to refine this. Post that they came up initial draft of major workflow of the mobile and web application presented them in the form of InVision and other tools. They were very professional. Post the initial approval of the workflow and UI/UX design individual screen/pages were designed and presented, refined.

More importantly in each of the stage end users of the system were involved to greater extent and feedbacks were very good for the initial draft itself. Then moved on to prototyping and finally in the finalising he design and UI/UX

5 to 6 team members were involved in these projects. We had principle/head of Design Lalit, Sr. designers, Designers and other engineers in building this frame work

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

This association had helped us in developing and launching one of the key apps which were having in mind for quite some time. We were very happy because caters to Baby care which is the core of our business model. Revamped the entire webapplication and mobile apps for Android and iOS.

As a result of these changes the retention rate of the customers have increased tremendously, made life of Dr's in using our web application easy and trouble free with very minimal clicks and still providing the complete history of the patients as a result of this we were able to have lot of adoption of the web application and able to bring in lot more Dr's into our fold.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The interaction between both the teams were excellent. All communications were formally done via emails, meetings are held and summary of the meeting along with action items were shared with us. Very good thing noticed is that all the deliverables were via a tool with version control, which enabled us to track what changes were made, how and when.

This enabled us to revoke any changes which we wanted to do after getting our stake holder feedbacks.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The UI/UX skills was mind blowing. Understanding of the concept and translating them into design is something in my opinion is NOT easy but it appeared as if this is a cakewalk for this team. They always had alternative for one flow when there is a feedback from us. The experience they brought from the other healthcare industry projects was good and impressed us.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I can only think of positives. When we had an urgent request to demonstrate a key workflow to a set of Dr's team did a wonderful job by over night and in the weekends to enable us to demonstrate this.

Our client (Clinics & Hospitals) retention rate was declining due to complexities in our existing products. They wanted a mobile & tablet version of EHR which is FHIR driven and can augment EHR at point of care and we needed someone who is experienced in healthcare. We heard Zero Studio is great at building such user-friendly and modern EHRs and we hired them to build a EHR ground up for iPad and iPhone

We heard about their work at Miami Childrens Hospital (Niklaus) and loved their past work and decided to engage with them.

The current web EHR versions we had were complex. Doctors had hard time finishing the patient notes and this was affecting their business. So we needed someone who can reduce the charting time and help doctors close the notes on same day and with minimal clicks. So we hired Zero Studio for end to end UX design & prototyping for iPad and iPhone.

They conducted many research intensive experimental sessions to gather feedback from doctors & nurses. They helped us setup test ward where we observed providers using existing products for consultation with dummy patients. They came up with some innovative interactions which really worked well with end users to reduce charting time.

4 resources - A UX director who researched, strategised overall UX & innovation, a 2 UX Designer who created rapid prototyping and a Usability tester who conducted usability testing along with team.

The new UX helped us reduce charting time with doctors by more than 40%. It’s also enabled providers do medical reconciliation with a swipe, allowed placing lab and med orders in a flick and increased overall user engagement by 3x. The interesting part is, Zero designed a winning EHR UI/UX despite being in most saturated EHR market in the US.

We were heavily reliant on them for their understanding about medical & wellness domain. At every step, they helped us understand their design decisions. Their communication was fluent, and visual stories drove their work.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Apart from a unique product UX, I must say they offered the smoothest design handoff between design and development. They created design stories for developers and well oriented them towards purpose of product and logic behind each interaction. This ensured less rework and faster production time.

As a design partners, I think they are a just awesome.

We saw a spike in client onboarding by more than 50% and overall support tickets cost reduced by 70%. Plus since the products look superb, it was easier for us to demo them to client and generate excitement.

We worked remotely but everything was just awesome. They understand healthcare domain pretty well so conversations were always engaging and requirements were clearly understood. Not only that but their delivery was just precise and delightful. They definitely push the boundaries. Loved working with them.
