I'm the owner of easykarp, an LLC, and a one-person company. I handle end-to-end internet marketing.

What challenge were you trying to address with WPVender?

I hired WPVender to do some custom work on a system I purchased from them in the past.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They did custom modifications on my website, EasyCarp. The product is live but not launched because it’s still in development. I plan on launching it before September 2025.

The team has done custom modifications on the site. The product is an online business directory for a Greek island. I was aware that it would need some custom modifications when I purchased it, and the team offers that service.

Two years ago, they did major work on the site for $5,000. Since then, I’ve decided to start with a new copy of the system because I’ve made a lot of changes. The most recent work was to migrate all the functionality they delivered to me in a previous installation to my new installation.

The team built a directory with a lot of search filtering and functionality. There are a lot of filters, and if you select multiple filters, the results are given as either/or. For example, if you’re looking for a restaurant with table service and that’s pet-friendly, the results will return all restaurants with table service and all restaurants that are pet-friendly. I wanted the results to show all the listings that satisfied just the filters.

Another modification was that I wanted to create landing pages for email marketing. This would be a subdirectory for a sublocation of the website itself. It would be easy for someone to go to it and see what the best restaurants are, the best attractions, recent reviews, and news about that particular sublocation. This feature doesn’t come with the default product I purchased, but WPVender delivered it.

WPVender went above and beyond because there were differences in the default product over the last two years. There was a bit of custom work that needed to be done to fit the current state, and they didn’t charge me for that.

The team has done all the work in one go, but it’s to my benefit to split it. I’ll be getting multiple custom work gigs from them.

This is a WordPress installation and it's heavily built on PHP; the product features React, another programming framework. They also used JavaScript.

What is the team composition?

I have one point of contact, Rukhsh, and I believe he deals with clients. I’ve received several emails that are part of the testing done by them, but not from my main point of contact. I’m sure there are programmers on their payroll who work on my projects.

What is the status of this engagement?

The original partnership began in July 2023. I plan on requesting their services 2–3 times in the next month, but at the moment, the engagement is ongoing.

I’m very happy with the deliverables. I’ve decided to work with them instead of switching systems. I believe that says it all.

The team has met deadlines and stayed on budget. They support the system, and I’m happy with the way they work. We communicated via email.

I'm very impressed with the product, even in its default state. I have other comparable options, but they require lots of moving parts. This is an all-in-one system. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s always room for improvement, but that doesn’t mean I’m not happy with their work. Sometimes, there’s a little bit of miscommunication. If anything, they could improve on how fast they understand the requirements from the beginning. As a software engineer, that’s not easy to do.

Any issues that came up during the process was taken care of.

What I found most impressive about WP Vendor was their ability to combine technical expertise with excellent customer service. Rukhsh and the team were not only highly skilled in delivering the custom solutions we needed, but they also took the time to truly understand our requirements and vision. Their proactive communication, attention to detail, and dedication to delivering high-quality results set them apart. The seamless integration of features like the custom image library, dynamic graphs, and PDF management exceeded our expectations and made a significant impact on our workflow.

Are there any areas for improvement or something WPVender could have done differently?

While our experience with WP Vendor was overall very positive, one area for improvement could be enhancing the initial project timeline estimation. There were a few instances where some minor delays occurred, though they were communicated clearly and resolved efficiently. Additionally, offering more detailed documentation or training for managing the new features would have been helpful for our team, especially during the transition. That said, these are minor points, and overall, the project was delivered to a high standard.

We were tasked with making a business directory for a city's Chamber of Commerce. Businesses would be paying to list their businesses and become a member of the Chamber or simply just list their business. The idea was to have the business listings be beneficial to members and all businesses in the area. 
With members on decline in recent years it was important to be able to target all of the businesses that were not members. We had WP Vendor create and integrate an API to funnel all of the listing data to our HubSpot CRM so we could organize our contacts into lists and market to them directly.
