Introduce your business and what you do there.

I work for Altura Periodontics and I’m the operations manager but really just do a little bit of everything. My role morphed into regulatory affairs and all things COVID-19. We have five providers at our office.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with WP Denver?

We started working with a company that wasn’t following best practices with building a website. So, we engaged WP Denver to clean up some of the things that were hurting our website in the long term.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We aligned our goals with them and they came up with a plan of attack. WP Denver provides social media marketing and web design services, overhauling the whole look. They introduced us to platforms to help build up reviews and our web presence. We host our continuing education courses and they helped us create a platform. We actually have two websites, one in English and one in Spanish and they overhauled all of that as well. They created the infrastructure that we can use going forward.

How did you come to work with WP Denver?

We were just lucky because one of our doctors know someone from their team. We got in contact with them and the relationship just clicked.

What is the status of this engagement?

I started with them in July 2016 and the relationship is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The reviews and social media presence have already paid for themselves with the increase in the number of appointments we’ve been able to capture. They’ve been able to build a very clean and user-friendly site for us.

How did WP Denver perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve always been very responsive and quick to help or troubleshoot and collaborate with ideas that have come up. They’re always great about meeting deadlines and if there is something that’ll take a little longer, they’re great about giving us specific details and dates. WP Denver is also good about following up. It’s nice to have someone collaborating and aware of what’s outstanding.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They continually come to us with refreshing ideas and new content which made it easy for us to go on cruise control. The relationship feels like more of a collaboration. Our success is their success. It doesn’t feel like we’re just presenting ideas and they’re just trying to execute. They’re truly a collaboration in that they want to hear feedback and are there for us. However, they’re also innovative and thinking of other ways to make our practice better.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, not at the moment.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Get a number of bids and see everything out there. Talking to companies, getting out, and seeing the work that they do is key. Take the time to see work because cheaper isn’t better, which is something we definitely got burned on the first time around.

We hired WP Denver to develop our website and SEO presence.

What was the scope of their involvement?

WP Denver built our website on WordPress. Their team manages ad campaigns via Google. Other than Google Ads, they’re trying to grow our presence organically through reviews and other means.

How did you come to work with WP Denver?

I liked another office’s website and digital presence. I asked who did their website, and that’s how we connected. I also felt that WP Denver understood our industry, so I didn’t have to reinvent everything.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent probably $10,000 on their services.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started our ongoing partnership in November 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our new website’s already on the second page of search results, which is significant because we only started this project a short time ago. WP Denver understands our goals. I previously worked with developers who didn’t understand our goals nor industry, so we couldn’t effectively communicate. We simply talked past each other. Their team understands our big picture, meaning they make changes with our goals and aesthetic in mind.

How did WP Denver perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate in many different ways — phone, text, and email. They’re responsive. Any changes that we need to make, their team makes them immediately.

What did you find most impressive about them?

WP Denver has great graphic and textual skills. When they create copy, it’s mostly free of errors and conveys the right tone. This is different from other designers who found it difficult to use our industry’s language. WP Denver makes us look professional.

I assess a marketer by the first questions they ask. If their first question is about our budget, I hang up the phone. Unlike them, WP Denver asked what we wanted to accomplish and what worked and didn’t work in the past. Their team focuses on the success of our plans rather than how much they’ll make.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Their next step is building a creative team that can shape a concept into a brand.  WP Denver still relies on us for branding, which is fine. However, it would be a great added service if they could create a brand for someone.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Spend time trying to understand your business and your objectives. WP Denver won’t be able to help if they don’t know what you want. Be intentional about who you are and what you want to accomplish.
