Introduce your business and what you do there.

I am the president of a marketing agency offering a subscription service that combines ongoing content marketing and business technology for our subscribers to utilize.

What challenge were you trying to address with Wisnet?

The former owner of the company and I were looking to launch a website to facilitate our subscription services.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Wisnet has developed several websites for my company that we allow our subscribers to access to facilitate our subscription services. At the beginning of each project, we submit our requirements to their team and they take over from there — we give them the story we wanted the website to tell. The sites began as Microsoft Access databases, but have since grown into a MySQL database. 

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with several developers from Wisnet. 

How did you come to work with Wisnet?

We’d hired another firm to develop our first website, but they weren’t able to pull it together as quickly and efficiently as we wanted. A friend then recommended Wisnet to us, so we hired them. 

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement with Wisnet began in September 2001, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’re using Wisnet to help us provide ongoing subscription services to our customers — they’ve been able to grow with us over the last two decades of our partnership and consistently delivered what we need. 

How did Wisnet perform from a project management standpoint?

Wisnet’s developers also serve as project managers, using a proprietary system to manage each project. Their team always delivers on time and sticks to our budget; their communication through phone and email is excellent.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’ve stayed with Wisnet for over two decades because they have a true partnership mentality — they know their success comes from our success. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I have nothing for Wisnet to improve. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I’d advise customers to go into a partnership with Wisnet with clear expectations and let their team fine-tune project briefs.

I am the CEO of a marketing automation platform for tax and accounting professionals.

For what projects/services did your company hire Wisnet, and what were your goals?

We were looking to develop a best-in-class marketing platform that made it easy for tax and accounting professionals to build a presence online, communicate with clients on an ongoing basis and improve their reputation.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We found Wisnet after an extensive search. We were drawn through the technology they had developed and their down-to-earth approach. You could tell from the beginning they would be responsive and trustworthy. It was a true partnership.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The designed a customized CRM, with web and newsletter building tools. We were able to get website up fast.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We have worked with at least 8 members of the team. Everyone one form developers, designers, dev ops through UX and project management.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We have built a successful SaaS company with over 8,000 users and growing. We have established ourselves as a trusted brand.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

The #1 attribute of Wisnet is responsiveness. If a software update to bug was introduced they would jump on it quickly to resolve. It kept our up time very high.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Based in Wisconsin, you deal with very friendly, personable people. You trust they will stand by you and they do. It is their great work ethic that makes us successful.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We have outgrown some of their capabilities like our video chat tool.
