Widelab is a senior product design and engineering partner for enterprises and scaleups that have outgrown their current design capacity.
The companies we work with hit a wall at a specific moment. A founding team shipping without dedicated UX. An in-house team stretched across too many workstreams. A product that's grown faster than the experience surrounding it.
Since 2018, more than 300 companies from 30+ countries have come to us at moments like these: pre-launch, post-funding, before a major release. The work is scoped around your priorities, built to scale with your business, and designed to be owned by your team long after we're done.
Our in-house studios cover brand, web, and marketing (Widehue) and development (Widedev).
Brand & Marketing (Widehue) - Brand identity, marketing design, web
Webflow Development - Websites, landing pages, web apps, custom solutions and integrations
Our work has been recognised by Awwwards, CSS Design Awards, FWA, and Clutch, where we hold a 4.9 rating across 79 verified reviews and rank among the top design agencies globally. Over 80% of our clients are still working with us two years after the first project.
Your success is our priority. The companies we work best with are ones where getting the product right actually changes outcomes. If you're at that point, it's worth a conversation.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.
The project involved both UX and UI aspects. In the initial stage, the UX Designer conducted an analysis of our and the different users' needs and prepared wireframes in continuous collaboration with us. We had two meetings per week during which we exchanged knowledge to inform the UX Designer's wireframe creations, and we provided feedback. After completing the UX phase, we moved on to the UI phase.
During the UI phase, the Project Manager conducted interviews regarding the brand that would be applied to the project. We established where we could go beyond the brand and defined the color requirements for the project.
Since our target audience operates in specific conditions, accessibility was particularly important. We successfully achieved this goal in the second phase, where the UI designer worked on the wireframes. Additionally, we continued to communicate twice a week through calls until we achieved the desired outcome.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The project achieved several outcomes that demonstrate progress and success:
User-Friendly Design: Thanks to the detailed UX phase, we were able to create a user-friendly flow for the application. Despite its highly technical nature, the product needed to be straightforward and easy to comprehend. Users, who operate in challenging lighting and noisy conditions, will be able to navigate the application effortlessly, ensuring quick access to all necessary information and actions.
Improved Accessibility: Considering the specific working conditions of the target audience, accessibility was a major focus. The UI phase successfully addressed these challenges, making sure that users could interact with the application without difficulty, even under demanding circumstances.
Enhanced Safety: Given the safety requirements, it was crucial to provide users with a clear and intuitive interface to avoid potential hazards. The project achieved this goal, ensuring that users could easily access all essential information and perform necessary actions in a safe manner.
Engaging User Experience: The application's design suggested a visual hierarchy that guided users effectively, directing their attention to the most important elements. This resulted in an engaging and satisfying user experience.
Overall, the project successfully met its biggest challenge, creating a technically complex yet user-friendly and accessible application.
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
The workflow between our team and theirs was highly effective. The project management process was well-prepared, emphasizing communication, feedback, and accessibility. Both the Designers and the Project Manager were readily available to us throughout the entire project, promptly responding to messages and addressing requests.
We maintained contact through two weekly calls, and they also provided written updates, ensuring that we were always informed about the project's progress. Moreover, the Project Manager kept us informed about the planned completion dates for each stage, and the project was completed ahead of the initial roadmap's predictions. This effective communication and proactive approach resulted in a successful collaboration, allowing the project to be completed earlier than expected.
What was your primary form of communication with Widelab?
Virtual Meeting

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Firstly, the Project Manager orchestrated the project's flow exceptionally well, giving us a sense of control and transparency throughout the entire process. This allowed us to stay on top of the project's progress and have a clear understanding of its development.
Secondly, the designers dived into the specific problem domain very well and presented ideas that went way further than the original design. They delivered a modern, clean, and up-to-date design that adhered to the latest standards, showcasing their creativity and expertise. We would like to mention especially Kinga, the UX Designer. She conducted in-depth interviews, ensuring a thorough grasp of the requirements.
Kinga was always well-prepared for our calls, and her proactive approach led to continuous improvements and better solutions. With her excellent analytical and organizational skills, she structured and sharpened the design and was key to creating a better application than we originally thought we could get. Besides that, it was easy and always a pleasure to work with her.
Overall, they demonstrated professionalism, creativity, and a strong commitment to achieving the best results for the project. Their collaborative and supportive approach made the entire process enjoyable and productive.

Delivering!

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.
We asked WideLab to help us with many things:
New theme - we wanted to start from scratch the whole look & feel for our marketing materials, which includes everything from the website, banners, powerpoint templates, brochures, letterheads, etc.
Re-building our website - we asked to re-do some pages in our existing website (which makes it more challenging than starting from scratch, you have to do it in agile mode). Starting with the main homepage which is already up, and they got it on time. And continuing with more pages. For each page, they created a figma version for both desktop and mobile and they look really good. Currently even the speedtest for the mobile version passes, which wasn't the case before, so I'm happy.
Ad banners - the team came up with many ideas for ads and their lead designer made many nice options for us which looks professional and up to our taste and quality standards.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Delivering exactly what we wanted, according to our agreed timelines and not being late. And there are many things to deliver in our project.
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
Being very responsive, getting things done with high quality. Very transparent. Everything is organized in google docs and tracking the progress of all tasks. They give time estimations and nail them. There's a project manager on each call, sending a summary and pushing everything forward.

Not really, definitely one of the best vendors I happen to work with.

We had an existing website whose design didn't fully meet our expectations, so we decided to hand over the project to Widelab. We started by improving the existing elements and then added new elements and entire subpages. The Project Manager made decisions on when to involve the UX and UI designers, showing a deep understanding of their team's capabilities.
We felt confident in their hands, and they always managed the team cost-effectively. After the mock-ups were approved, we moved on to the UI phase. Once the web design was accepted, we proceeded to the mobile version. Surprisingly, there were very few revisions needed as the team understood our needs well, and we often closed the projects without iterations.
The same smooth process is applied to the marketing aspect. We added new tasks to Trello, and the Widelab Project Manager efficiently managed their team in handling these tasks. The PM kept us informed about the timeline, and the delivery was consistently prompt. The marketing team quickly adapted to our established style, and similarly, we usually reached final versions without numerous iterations.

Website, marketing collaterals, etc.
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
The workflow between our team and WideLab has been highly effective. We quickly adapted to collaborating seamlessly together. We add tasks on Trello or, thanks to our excellent relationship with the Project Manager, I send them directly to them via private messages on Slack.
The PM then distributes the tasks to their team, sets delivery dates, and provides us with ready-to-use links for the tasks. The tasks are delivered promptly, and the PM is proactive in asking for additional details if needed, although the WideLab team usually understands our requirements perfectly.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.
Widelabs delivered a new vision for our brand that iterated on the existing visual language; this included a new variant for the existing logo and a new brand book (inc. new typography, color matrix, photography, illustration and iconography, and more). After executive approval, the team created a new website with over ten unique templates, multiple unique illustrations, and a new visual expression of our product architecture.
The team also provided animation guidelines and continued to work with us on website expansion,post-launch.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The response to the new brand was amazing. It was highly praised by the internal team, existing customers, prospects, board members, etc. From a traffic standpoint, we saw a double-digit increase in time on-site and pages-per-visit. The new design also helped accelerate our content and SEO efforts, helping us to nearly double the size of our organic inbound traffic over the following quarter.
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
Going into the project, we had a clear plan of action, and every change in that plan was reflected in the project timeline - helping drive ongoing alignment. Most of the deliverables were provided on time, and when delays occurred, a new ETA was always clearly set. This helped manage the budget and expectations.
Importantly for us, the project manager took time to understand the nuances of our product and target market and used that understanding to pull additional people into the project, that could help with specific tasks and deliverables (e.g., adding an illustrator to go over a specific hurdle or pulling in talent to visualize animations).

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
I was particularly impressed by the ability to provide a broad portfolio of talent and services, under one roof. From UX talent, that helped provide wireframes, to PM who took the time to understand our business, to multiple creatives - each with his/her unique expertise, Widelab always had us covered on all fronts.
Are there any areas for improvement or something Widelab could have done differently?
The initial timeline for the project was too aggressive, as the company didn't account for the complexity of our unique tech/market. I would encourage the team to be less aggressive with the initial estimation.
