For what projects/services did your company hire We Love No Code, and what were your goals?

We were trying to build an app that allows our customers and clients to login and have a branded experience using our studio services.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I went to uwpwork and this guy who applied said he represents the WLNC team of no-code developers who they will match me up with.

We were to use bubble to create an MVP of a link in bio software. I provided them with the design mock ups and examples, and several calls.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We had 1 developer and 1 project manager at first. Then they added a second developer because the first one was on experienced with functionality, not design. Then got transferred to a 2nd project manager.

Then fired the first develop. 1 develop abandoned. Then the new project manager quit. Then the new developer quit. Then I was dealing with the rude "customer success" lady.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

They used a project manager, not a "Product Manger" Their project managers barely understand code let alone user experience. So you're not actually getting someone to help you build a great product, rather you're getting a babysitter, a middleman you're communicating information to then relay it to the other person.

I also went through 3 different no-code developers, so their value proposition of matching you with the right person is bull sh*t. After I finally left that nightmare of an experience, someone said working with WLNC is like a lottery. Sometimes you'll get lucky and get the right person, but most people will get screwed (like how I felt I did).

The timeline started in May of 2022. They said 30 days. Gave me a guy who was supposed to build my MVP to function and design like the designs we provided them, but he failed. They had me pay extra to get a 2nd guy on the job who worked on the design while the other guy worked on the functionality. I was originally promised that these guys were going to be "full time," but 2 months in, I realized that they are paid on a "fixed project" basis. So as the weeks went on, the project kept getting delayed.

Eventually 2-3 months in, the project manager I had changed from someone from Ukraine to someone in Flordia. He fired my first developer because he sucked and just couldn't get the job done. The other developer abandoned the project (the one who specialized in coding the design. Then they brought on some kid from south Africa, and he kept getting busy with school, and my project kept getting delayed. By this time, it was August. Then I find out that the project manager was leaving the company because he realized that the entire company was a hot mess. Then the developed, the kid from south Africa quit because of school.

By this time, I had invested almost $10,000 and 80+ hours of my and my employee's time over the course of 4-5 months. I dislike this company with a passion and want the rest of the employees, prospective customers and investors to realize that this is a broken model because they are middlemen with project managers who act like babysitting, not using experienced product managers. Also, I want to note, they admitted to everything they screwed up on and gave me a partial refund, and told me to f*ck off with the trash code they made. They didn't fulfill their promise of getting me a real functioning MVP.

They are employing the wrong "project managers". They need product managers but I'm guessing the business model won't be profitable that way so the customer loses from that. The developers were also working on fixed pricing, which influences how the no-code developer works on the project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They fact that they admitted and apologized for their mistakes. Even though they screwed me over, they at least admitted that my customer experience with them was horrible.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

YES. Use product managers. Not hiring cheap "project managers" who are unfamiliar with No-Code.

I am so happy - we have finally launched! My application developed with Bubble and Airtable platforms is great and well done. The service manager automation tools they built for me are working great. I was able to increase my sales and reduce my working time. They have helped me so much, highly recommended them from my professional side of the product manager in a company that needs to automate processes to speed up everything

We needed a workflow setup as the business got more complicated, in order to streamline both workload and sales. We came across WeLoveNoCode when searching for companies that could set this up without developing an in-house system from scratch.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We searched online for workflow tools, and when we settled on 'Make' (formerly Integromat), we needed someone to set it up for us. We shortlisted a few companies but settled on WeLoveNoCode after talking with them.

We had an initial screening meeting to ensure the WeLoveNoCode developer would be a fit for our team. We needed a workflow set up for system support and business sales.

What was the team composition?

We had a single developer as our main point of contact throughout the development process, but we had access to another point of contact in case we weren't happy with what we were being delivered.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our staff love the new system that's been put in place. We now have full workflow integration with email and Microsoft Teams, so jobs are no longer getting lost in a single mailbox. We can now track productivity metrics like response rates, and introduce service level agreements for different ticket types. In turn, this is helping us deliver more effective results for our clients.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We had weekly meetings with our developer (we could have met more frequently if we wanted), alongside our team to clearly communicate our expectations vs what was realistic. We used Slack to communicate, and our developer integrated very well with our own team.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Our developer was very patient with us - some of our own staff are not too tech-savvy. If we had any questions, our developer was always on-hand to answer them. They always delivered another iteration if we didn't like what they had supplied us with.

Is there any area for improvement or anything that could have been done differently?

We had some issues when the solution was delivered, as some of the support team were struggling with the transition to the new system with the documentation supplied. However, our WeLoveNoCode developer was more than happy to sit on multiple calls with us and talk through any of our queries, which solved any problems we were experiencing.
