Webstrail is a product and engineering company that builds exclusively for dentistry. Instead of taking on projects across multiple industries, the team has narrowed its focus to one: designing, building, and running the software that dental businesses use to operate.

The work is organized into five areas. Revenue Cycle Management covers eligibility verification, claims processing, accounts receivable automation, and patient payment plans. Practice Growth includes custom dental CRMs, multi-location KPI analytics, and practice-coaching software. Patient Experience covers online scheduling, patient portals, communication tools, and payments. Platform & Integrations handles the data layer underneath all of it, connecting on-premises and cloud practice-management systems, clearinghouses, and payment processors into one consistent data source. Specialized Builds picks up work outside those categories, including AI imaging, dental education platforms, GPO portals, teledentistry apps, and marketing sites.

Webstrail has integrated with practice-management systems including Open Dental, Dentrix, Dentrix Ascend, Eaglesoft, Curve Dental, Denticon, CareStack, and tab32, and connects to clearinghouses such as DentalXChange, Vyne Dental, Change Healthcare, and Availity. Payment integrations include Stripe, Adyen, Braintree, Square, PayPal, Worldpay, Plaid, Xplor Pay, and Paya. AI is applied where it has a measurable effect, including treatment-plan assistance, imaging and document processing, and lead or churn scoring, using tools such as OpenAI, Anthropic, LangChain, Hugging Face, and AWS Bedrock.

What separates Webstrail from a general software vendor is that engagements do not end at launch. Most continue as a build-and-run retainer, with Webstrail operating, maintaining, and extending the product over time.
