We could of done certain parts of the project a bit quicker and planned for certain events like holidays, etc

I'm an executive at a web-based security system provider. We build security management systems primarily for hotels.

We needed help with web and mobile app development.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Webnyxa Technologies is one of our development partners. Initially, we worked with them on minor development work. Eventually, we tasked them to build a web platform using Java, JavaScript, and MySQL. Additionally, they've developed a native Android app using Android Studio.

The team has access to our web hosting space and can push updates into our test server without needing approval. Our internal team then reviews it and goes ahead and deploys the update. Webnyxa Technologies also diagnoses and troubleshoots any server issues.

What is the team composition?

Our main point of contact is Sandeep (Founder & CEO). He has solely worked on 80% of the development we've done. Now, he has junior developers working on our project and oversees them.

How did you come to work with Webnyxa Technologies?

I found them on Upwork and saw their reviews and portfolio. I decided to engage with them because I felt that they'd produce what we needed for a reasonable price.

How much have you invested with them?

We've spent between $35,000–$40,000. Previously, we were paying them on an hourly basis. We've since moved to a fixed-price model where we set the budget for each project.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project started in October 2018, and it's ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We judge the quality of their work by how long it takes for us to review and if we have to send it back to them to improve. Sometimes, we have to ask for a few minor changes, but we're at that point where we can give Webnyxa Technologies a task, and they'd get back to us with something that's 95%–100% accurate the first time around.

Overall, the team is very knowledgeable, and they've offered very helpful suggestions on how we can improve our systems. They know the platform inside out, so we trust them.

How did Webnyxa Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

Their communication skills are good. If something critical happens, we can reach out to them at any hour of the day. We primarily communicate through Slack and use a ticketing system to assign tasks. With each ticket, we negotiate on a budget, and they proceed with the development.

Webnyxa Technologies has integrated very well with us — we have a sound, collaborative system in place. We have a shared environment where they work hand in hand with our other development teams. If needed, they even coach and help our other developers work with the code. It's truly a group effort.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We appreciate that we can rely on them to help us at any time. The development team is available 24-7 to address any issues immediately, which is critical because we don't want to be down for too long. Thanks to their help, we've been able to keep our systems functional for our clients.

We have an excellent working relationship with Webnyxa Technologies — they truly understand what we need. We no longer have to give them detailed instructions, simplifying our processes. Usually, we just provide a summary of what we need, and they're able to produce a solution without requiring a lot of input from us. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Although they consistently deliver within deadline, it would be nice if they updated us regularly on their progress.

Webnyxa was with us for a couple years handling everything we through at them with ease. We used Laravel on the backend and VueJS on the front end with the infrastructure hosted on Heroku and AWS.

At that time Webnyxa was small so it was just Ajeet with us as the lead full stack engineer.

The work was completed at a good pace and delivered within a reasonable time frame. Time was not wasted and deadlines were not extended regularly.

There were some growing pains getting familiar with any technology but Ajeet adjusted quickly.

For us the deciding factors were the honest & ethical approach of the Director of Webnyxa Mr. Sandeep Kundu apart from several other factors like capabilities of the web developers, reasonable pricing.

All our websites have been developed in PHP with laravel framework. The entire process was really smooth from getting the wireframes delivered to us within first 15 days and 2 executives from client servicing who gave us all updates about project . Must say the project was delivered allways within set timeframe.

A team comprising of 2 web developers, 2 executives from Client servicing, a graphics designer & the Director himself reviewed our project on monthly basis with inperson or online meeting every month.
