What challenge were you trying to address with WebFX?

We needed to lessen the workload internally at our company regarding this project. We also needed support for our sales and marketing team in creating new business development opportunities, creating brand awareness for new audiences, and retargeting a familiar audience.

Initially, we hired WebFX to help improve our keyword ranking and build content for placement on our website. Recently, we added the goal of having our website redone so that it was optimized for improving organic traffic volume.

WebFX has been helping us with an inbound lead growth strategy that includes researching, developing, and implementing a full content and keyword strategy to increase qualified organic traffic and web leads. This includes SEO optimization and keyword ranking research. Additionally, WebFX gathers actionable campaign performance data, including leads, calls, revenue, company visits, and competitor activity using MarketingCloudFX. The team provides customized monthly reports and has detailed monthly reporting calls to review work completed, results, and strategy direction into the next month.

WebFX has also redesigned our website in WordPress for improved flexibility and scalability. The team has redesigned the site for best practices for UX and core web vitals and refreshed the look and feel of the site, including improved navigational functions.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We have seen improved traffic in the few short months. More importantly, WebFX’s expertise made us realize that our current website was not optimized to current UX standards and was actually bottlenecking potential leads and inbound traffic. The consistent communication, stellar project management, and project visibility have given me full confidence that our website will be complete on the date that was set and that it will accomplish the goals we set out to accomplish.

WebFX has amazing project management. The team has an arsenal of branded tools they use to keep projects moving forward and on time. They have always delivered what was promised on time and keep communication open during the entire process. Additionally, they provide tools and a dashboard for me to log into where I can track the project, view communication, and results any time day or night.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I value the fact that they assign a project lead, they have a large pool of specialists and professionals to tap into, and the WebFX branded tools that are like analytics, CRM, and messaging service all rolled into one. I don’t think there are others that provide all of those benefits. I highly value consistent and honest communication, and I feel that WebFX has always delivered in that area.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything I would change. However, I think we could have spent some time going more in-depth about our business goals and pain points so that we could have come up with a different strategy from the very start. This really isn’t the fault of WebFX. We came to them initially looking for help in the SEO area, and they quoted and started the project from that perspective.

Project Description

Develop a live/instant quoting system for LTL and FTL shipments, integrated into our website. The goal is to provide users with an easy-to-use quote generation tool while capturing leads and seamlessly integrating with Nutshell and our internal systems.

Workflow Overview

User Initiates Quote:
The visitor clicks "Get a Quote."
They identify as either a business or individual shipper.
They select between LTL or FTL quoting.
Form Completion:
Based on the selection, the user is presented with a form tailored to either LTL or FTL.
They enter all required shipment details.
Lead Capture Before Rate Display:
Once the form is completed, they click "Get Rate."
We generate a unique “customer reference number”
Before the rate is displayed, the system requires them to enter their name, email, and phone number.
This information generates a lead, which is sent to Nutshell CRM and will be utilized in future steps if they proceed.
Rate Display & Booking Option:
After submitting their contact information, the system displays the available rate(s).
The user has the option to proceed by clicking "Book."
Booking Process & TMS Integration:
If the user chooses to book, the system:
Creates a customer organization and customer staff profile in TAI TMS.
Logs the quote details for future reference.
Finalization
The customer is presented with our contact info and informed that Green River staff will call to finalize. (any involvement with/from site essentially ends here)

The only thing I could think of is more training on Word Press.  We aren't working in it everyday and it is easy to forget steps so online videos or tutorials would be great.

The WebFX team is VERY dependable when it came to managing the project. They consistently delivered content, reports, and campaign updates on time on a month team call. Everything stayed on schedule without major delays.

They were also very responsive to our needs and quick to answer questions, make changes when needed, and suggest improvements. For example, they flagged outdated services and recommended upgrades to keep us competitive.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Honestly, one of the best parts about working with WebFX is the people. They’re not just great at what they do, they’re genuinely fun, friendly, and super easy to work with. Every meeting feels like catching up with a group of smart friends who just happen to be digital marketing wizards.

What impressed me most is how they mix creativity with strategy. They’re always bringing fresh ideas to the table, and they actually listen and adapt to what we need. It never feels cookie-cutter or robotic, there’s a real sense of partnership, and they make the whole process feel effortless (even though I know they’re doing a ton behind the scenes).

It’s rare to find a team that’s both personable and sharp, and that combo is what really makes them stand out. I genuinely enjoy working with them! Taylor is amazing! :)

Are there any areas for improvement or something WebFX could have done differently?

I’ve worked with a handful of agencies over the past 15 years, and WebFX is truly a rare find. They’re not just another vendor, they feel like an extension of our team. The mix of talent, personality, and reliability is something you don’t come across often in this industry.

As for areas of improvement - honestly, nothing major stands out. If I had to pick something, maybe just continuing to explore even more creative campaign ideas or pushing us a little further outside our comfort zone now and then, but that’s more of a “nice to have” than a need.
