We had an idea, a few hand-drawn wireframes and a figma file to compliment it.

Webelight started off with a series of meetings between the two teams to come up with an SRS which was very well elaborated with mention of hours per module and cost and more which helped us crop or add new features to the scope. 

Once the SRS was finalized, work started on the admin panel, the UI & UX designing simultaneously. As soon as the first module was designed, the development of that began. Another team was working in the background setting up necessary accounts like AWS, Playstore, Appstore, Redis, setting up the OTP service, etc. Module after module, the designing & development continued along with testing and a demonstration organised for us to verify and confirm. 

During the development of the final module and its testing, Webelight deployed the app on both playstore and appstore and gave us a demonstration on the Mixpanel and Google Analytics. 

We are currently live on both the platforms and deploying the latest and complete build as per our satisfaction. 

Some key deliverables and what surpassed our expectations are:-

Delivery is almost always on time disregarding the aspects that are not in Webelight's control like approvals from the stores or the government.

Response to the needs was also almost always positive and taken care of without much insisting. A few things took a little more time in clarifications but what I appreciate highly are the little things they did to perfect the features or design without us insisting. They also don't cut corners which is a big plus.

Dedication and enthusiasm from supervisors like Virendra and Zainab, the amount of clarity, the attention to detail, the organisation, the follow-ups, etc, absolutely topnotch. 

We got to speak to the other members of the Webelight team during demonstrations and everyone we spoke to just raised the bar and gave us more confidence in the team. Getting what we ask for and many a times even more. 

Most importantly, the co-founder and project lead, Jayesh.

We went with just an idea and basic wireframes drawn on figma. Jayesh gave us a realistic idea of what he could make, how much it would cost, the time it would take, what we would need to do, etc etc. We had shortlisted Webelight from a pool of 7 similar firms only for the transparency assured to us by Jayesh.

One of the best decisions we made looking back at what he promised us and what we have today. 

In conclusion, professionalism, transparency and the abundance of TECH know-how are absolutely spot-on at Webelight.

Except for some rare occasions where some members didn't acknowledge their mistakes which led to a little bit of time lost, nothing really. 

Having worked with many other firms in multiple fields in India, Webelight certainly is an exception when it comes to execution.

We wanted to start with developing a website where we could promote Deals & Offers to the Users and help E-commerce platforms to drive Sales. We got in touch with Jayesh & Yash through one of our common friend and after a couple of discussions on our requirements, we decided to start the work. Initially when we started, our main requirement was to develop a website to post Deals & Offers from Top E-commercial giants along with options to Filter and search Deals as per their needs.

1. Travel Bugs to connect with people from diverse cultures:

If a user is traveling somewhere and wishes to find connections in a new city, they can simply turn the travel bugs feature ON in their settings and get to know about nearby profiles and their preferences. Users would still require the consent of each other to connect and plan a meeting. Only those profiles would be discoverable that have turned this feature ON in their settings.  In this way, they can meet new people from different regions who belong to different cultures, follow different lifestyles, and build connections with them. 

2. Uplift to Boost the visibility:

This button will allow the user to boost their profile. Upon tapping the button, the user’s device vibrates for a second or two, and their profile will be displayed on top of the rankings in their area/location. This would enhance their exposure and increase their chances of finding meaningful connections. All users will get the ability to boost their profile for free once a day. After that, they will have to subscribe to any plan to get more chances to boost their profile.

3. 4-way swiping: 

Users can send a flying like to their desired profile by swiping up on them It allows users to express immediate interest in a potential match without the need for extensive messaging, facilitating quicker connections. Flying like can be only sent to those profiles who have given their consent for the same. The free plan offers one “flying like” per day. To send more flying likes, the user has to subscribe to one of our plans. 

If the users are busy & wish to explore a profile in their spare time, they can swipe down on that profile to save it as their favorite profile for later consideration. The name of this feature is called ‘Starred’ in the Just Date Application. So a user will be able to basically ‘star’ his favorite profiles, enhancing his overall dating experience. In this feature, the first 5 profiles will be free to mark as “starred”. After that, users will have to buy the subscription if they want to mark more profiles as “starred”.

Users can like a profile by swiping right & dislike a profile by swiping left on it. They can also ‘Rewind’ to see the previously visited profile if they mistakenly dislike someone’s profile. For unlimited rewinds, users can subscribe to any of our plans.

When two users like each other’s profiles, they would be able to chat with each other. For making audio calls and video calls. Permission and consent of both individuals would be required for the same.

4. Sweethearts Suggested as per activeness:

The sweethearts feature displays the profiles based on the activeness of users in the nearby location. From this page, the logged-in user can only send a flying like to their desired profile. By default, 6 such profiles will be shown to the user and the rest will be blurred. To see more profiles, they have to buy a subscription plan. The sweetheart feature helps users prioritize their time and our recommendation algorithm shows the profiles that are most likely to respond.

5. Random Spark for exciting possibilities:

This button will allow users to chat with any other user who is interested in random chatting. The minimum distance the app will find users for random chat will be 500 kilometers. This can be valuable for users seeking matches outside their local area or interested in exploring cultural connections. In case, users want to limit their search for random chat within their preferences, they have to buy the subscription plan for the same.
