The main trade-off is their team size. Because they operate as a smaller, highly specialized team, their individual bandwidth is naturally limited. While this model guarantees that you work directly with top-tier engineers who know your codebase inside out, it also means they don't have a massive bench of developers to instantly throw at sudden, last-minute scale-ups. If you need a massive team expansion overnight, their boutique setup requires a bit more lead time to resource.
