BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the owner of MelodyClouds a subscription application for music, binaural beats, solfeggio, guided meditation, and audio books.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Web Designs Prime, and what were your goals?

I contracted WebDesign Prime to design and build two mobile applications, and a subscription website. Our Goal was to grow membership via partnerships and advertising.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I spoke with Eric James and described my vision. I had been searching for weeks and found WDP on GOOGLE. I noticed WDP had several negative reviews and questioned Eric about those reviews. At the end of the conversation, I felt comfortable enough to proceed with my project.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We created a plan for a WordPress website at first and would later grow that into a PHP Laravel website with API to organize the audiobooks. Once the website was underway, we began work on the iOS, and Android applications. I noticed problems along the way but nothing out of hand.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Daniel was the project lead, he had a "team" of designers and programers that could make changes, but it was a slow and plodding process. I have worked with FAR faster and better teams. Problems mounted once the applications could not get through the approval process with APPLE.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Beginning January, there was a major "hacking" situation on the dedicated server. They refused to show either server logs or show me keystroke logs proving a hacking attempt was made. They fired me as a customer, and refuse to turn over one of the applications, and many of the files I have already paid for.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

The level of arrogance and malic this company treats its customer to is beyond the pale. I have been verbally assaulted, lied to, stolen from, and threatened for close to a month now. I was extorted for $25,000 to get my application transferred to my name and when I refused the attempt more threats and abuse.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

NOT ONE DAMN THING... Mediocre work, sloppy writing, zero editing. Customer Service is non-existent UNLESS they want you to cut another check. Some of the design decisions they presented me with were hilarious, and I paid thousands for Social Media that was unusable.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Several of the staff members would need to be fired. Daniel is the only honest person in the place I met while doing business with them. The owner of this company has a very hard lesson coming if he allows this to continue.
