We hired Rich with the objective of driving organizational transformation and end-user integration. Rich and excelled in facilitating this transformation, ensuring seamless integration across all user levels. He developed comprehensive project and operational process documentation, which greatly enhanced our workflow efficiency. Additionally, Rich created clinical OS images that supported seamless end-user integration, demonstrating a deep understanding of our needs. He also led thorough usability testing and implemented an effective feedback loop, which significantly improved our end-user product. Overall, Rich did a fantastic job in achieving our objectives and adhering to the project scope, delivering outstanding results.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

This project entailed integration of existing hospital IT infrastructure into the UMASS IT system.  It proved especially challenging, given the poor state of the IT presence at the acquired hospital; simple federation of the domains was disallowed, due to security concerns. As a result, a number of novel approaches were pursued, ultimately producing a successful integration.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

At project completion, the hospital acquisition was fully migrated into the UMASS IT ecosystem, & appropriately trained. During the migration, hospital staff were successfully able to use existing applications via a virtual environment on UMASS assets, which was a huge win in minimization of patient care disruption.

Exceptional. Given the fluid nature of this project, this company was asked to perform a high amount of non-standard support (off-hours, emergency changes), which they excelled at. Many of the existing applications at the acquired hospital were antiquated, with little to no documentation, & they were required to do a significant amount of reverse engineering.  This was also done well.  

Finally, this company worked seamlessly with project resources, & was indispensible in providing at-elbow support.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The team adapted to ambiguous situations, changed technical direction quickly, and worked well with project resources. They created a supportive, positive culture and had superior technical knowledge, making them a valuable reference source to the project at-large.

As a project manager, I was, & remain, pleased with their performance on this project.  Nothing of note.
