I’m the CEO of a software engineering firm. I work with many startups and enterprises to develop custom products and solutions.

What challenge were you trying to address with Vision Labs?

We reached out to Vision Labs to provide UI/UX design services for the development work we do for our clients.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Vision Labs has worked with us on different projects for various clients. Our clients provide specific guidelines, and we involve the Vision Labs team in the process. We also provide them with wireframes and product documentation. Additionally, we capture the client’s vision in user journey maps that we give to Vision Labs. 

The team has done UI/UX design for mobile and web applications using Figma. For example, we had a client that wanted a car rental platform, and we engaged Vision Labs at the ideation stage. They gave the client different strategies to market and provided design services, and we handled development work. They’ve also worked with a healthcare client. 

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with around 8–9 teammates from Vision Labs. Our main points of contact are the two partners and the product manager.

How did you come to work with Vision Labs?

They were referred to us by another client we were working with, and we got in touch with them when we were looking for a UI/UX design partner for one of our projects. Vision Labs showed us their portfolio and designed an initial set of screens to showcase their work, so we hired them.

How much have you invested with them?

So far, we’ve spent roughly $150,000. 

What is the status of the engagement?

Our partnership kicked off in May 2022, and it’s ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Vision Labs' work is very good. When we've showcased their designs, our clients have been very impressed. Moreover, we've been able to convert proposals thanks to them, and the projects we've launched have been quite successful. Our healthcare client got close to 50 million dollars in funding, partly thanks to Vision Labs' work. Overall, our relationship has been good; we've gotten been able to get everything we've wanted from them. 

How did Vision Labs perform from a project management standpoint?

We haven't had any issues with the deadlines — they've delivered every task within the timeline. They provide whatever they promise and are always helpful in going back and explaining things to our end clients. In terms of the traceability for the requirements, Vision Labs maintains that nicely, which is very helpful. 

The team is also great in terms of documentation. They properly document everything we discuss using Notion, so we can always refer back to it. As for communication, we have daily stand-up meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We're impressed by Vision Labs' UI/UX team. Their designs are modern and comparable with the work of top design agencies, even though they're a small company.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could have more resources on their front so that we can handle more projects.

Any advice for potential customers?

I'd advise you to clarify what you want your product to be. That way, you can avoid quite a bit of rework.

Since launching the business two years ago, we've offered a healthcare IT product. I am the CEO and co-founder of the organization.

What challenge were you trying to address with Vision Labs?

We hired Vision Labs for product design and marketing services.

What was the scope of their involvement?

This is a product design and marketing strategy project. Vision came up with a unique, user-friendly design for our platform to take to market. They're managing the entire product design process, including UI/UX design and digital marketing. We're handling the technology and development work internally.

What is the team composition?

They're about 14–17 people working on the platform right now: a product manager, UI/UX designers, a digital marketing team, a content team, an innovation team, and a design team.

How did you come to work with Vision Labs?

We were referred to them by some people they'd worked with. Vision had also work for some big companies, and that informed our judgement about their competence.

How much have you invested with them?

We've spent almost $500,000 on the projects so far.

What is the status of the engagement?

Our partnership began in March 2021, and we are still working with them.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Vision has contributed tremendously, to the point where we've enlisted their help in creating another product for us because of the confidence they've instilled. Their team has provided a lot of insights, too. Their presentations in the initial stage were strong predictors of the year-long pattern of quality we've seen. 

How did Vision Labs perform from a project management standpoint?

They're great at staying within budget and on track with the project. Our investors are impressed with Vision's project management skills. Their team is very transparent and hardworking; the same is true of their commitment to the project. Collaboration happens over Notion, Figma, Asana, and ClickUp.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their attention to detail in market research and solution development is impressive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We're doing great so far, as Vision deals with any issues that aries. 

Any advice for potential customers?

Make sure that you meet their deadlines because they will meet yours. Everyone should do their share of the task properly to ensure a smooth project experience.
