BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a co-founder at Pyloopa, a startup in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. We’re a climate company trying to solve the problem of air pollution here. 

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Kiri Lab Media?

When we started the business, we needed a website to start the certification process of the work we were doing. On top of that, we needed to put the platform out there for people to see and raise awareness of what we were trying to do. 

Meanwhile, I only had two full-time employees in my company, and we didn’t have any web developers; my partner and I were machine learning (ML) practitioners. As a result, we contracted Kiri Lab Media for this project. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Kiri Lab Media helped us develop a website as fast as possible. They also helped us push initiatives that could help people learn about our business. We tackled climate change, which was a crucial problem. As a result, we wanted the site to showcase our product and initiative. 

They built the site from scratch through WordPress. We worked with them in developing the site’s content, which they arranged in a way that suited the website’s visitors. Usually, I gave them my ideas, and they made them more presentable. In the background, they also did marketing tasks. 

What is the team composition?

I mostly work with their CEO. 

How did you come to work with Kiri Lab Media?

I found them online through YouTube. I was searching for agencies near me and saw one of their advertisements. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested between ₦300,000–₦400,000 (approximately $700–$1,000 USD) for the website package. 

What is the status of this engagement?

I started working with them in November 2020, and the partnership is ongoing. Although not much is happening right now, we’re still in contact with them. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I rate Kiri Lab Media’s work as perfect because they’re excellent. They’ve helped us showcase what we do. Moreover, I’ve been charged highly by other vendors who don’t have anything to showcase. By contrast, Kiri Lab Media accomplishes projects at a low cost. 

How did Kiri Lab Media perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re almost always on time. We’ve experienced some delays before, but that’s only when we’re making adjustments. In terms of building the website itself, they’re actually on time — it’s perfect. Meanwhile, I have my own project management tool, where I share documents with them to work on any content that I have. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They render extra services for me. I’m not into marketing since I’m an ML practitioner by profession. As a result, I only need them for web development. However, apart from working on the website, they’ve also pushed our initiatives and accomplished lead generation work. I appreciate those extra efforts. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there aren’t any. They can focus on making their services even better.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Go ahead and engage with Kiri Lab Media. I’ve already used them, and their services are good for me. If I have any friend in any organization that wants to use them, I’ll let them do that.
