I’m the founder of an online streaming service.

What challenge were you trying to address with Venovis?

We hired them to expand our channel’s presence using their development expertise.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We’ve developed apps for iOS, and we’re now working on apps for Android devices. They’re responsible for doing the builds for all of our applications. They also help with revisions between the significant launches.  

What is the team composition?

There were four people, including Eli (CEO), Adam (Director of Operations), and a few coders.

How did you come to work with Venovis?

After a search, we felt that they would be the best fit because they’re local, and because of their expertise.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested about $250,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Venovis in November 2017.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I found that they were easy to work with. The major glitch we had experienced was a funding crunch, so we had to stop the development once to catch up on the bills.

The design and qualities were just great. The app functionalities are also great. In subsequent upgrades, we hope to add more to the applications. Their team was also able to work well with the lead who runs our WordPress site.

How did Venovis perform from a project management standpoint?

The project went smoothly, and they work well with our team. The deadlines were always met. If there was any glitch or slow down, it was because of funding.

They kept me informed as to what they needed and where the pitfalls are. Even though there are still some hurdles we have to clear with the streaming service, the team works together well.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I appreciate their accessibility. Whenever I’ve had a question, I can pick up the phone, and they answer right away. That helps with projects that have multiple parts, especially since everyone is working these days remotely.

It’s always a challenge when people aren’t sitting across each other in the office to keep everything moving. Having that accessibility has been terrific.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Because the scope grew, I wasn’t as well-prepared for the funding requirements. I would’ve pointed the finger at myself to make sure that I had enough capital to engage with the various aspects of the project to compete in the marketplace.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be sure that you have adequate funding to tackle all of the aspects of what you want to do. Be clear on your scope, and you should be fine because their team will deliver what you ask for.
