Reaching the top 100 Paid Apps in the US and the #1 Paid App in Hong Kong and Singapore, Bric Entertainment’s Photo Hunter reinvents the classic bar game for the iPhone.
VCG developed all of the user interface design and game play functionality for the application that challenges you to accurately identify subtle differences between two similar photos as quickly as possible. PhotoHunter trains and improves visual perception skills and hand-eye coordination. Players can instantly upload scores to bric’s web site and view others.
Working with bric entertainment and using Apple’s core Cocoa technology, VCG developed a highly visual graphical interface that takes advantage of the touch-screen technology to find difference between two photos. Scores are uploaded to the web server to keep track of the top scores by Country, Age and Region.
Marketing agency Digitas hired VCG to develop the online centerpiece for theirPontiac G8 worldwide marketing campaign - PontiacIsCar.com.
The web site features is a highly interactive digital mosaic of the G8, consisting of nearly 700 digital media assets that captured the essence of the Pontiac G8’s spirit. This was driven not just through images of the car itself, but in combination with other interesting brands and partnerships from popular culture – including Paramount’s Transformers, Microsoft’s Halo, recording star 50 Cent and more.
Working in conjunction with the interactive division at advertising agencyCrispin Porter + Bogusky, VCG’s dedicated team of developers completed a new version of the VW Builder, an automobile configurator on theVolkswagen US web site.
The VW Builder allows visitors to assemble their dream vehicle by selecting details such as external color, interior trim, optional packages, engine and other related features on each of VW’s line of ten models, including the Beetle, Jetta and new EOS. The configurator updates information on the fly, providing pricing, top speed and even fuel efficiency figures. Upon completion, users can watch a video of their custom-selected car racing or crashing.
Solver Inc. has partnered with a major credit card company to develop a resource and forecasting system based on patent-pending Investment Optimization methodologies. The system is a strategic and financial discipline/platform that enables a company to more accurately project the returns associated with its investments. Investments include initiatives from marketing, information technologies, R&D, sales, strategy, business development, and operations. Solver is a Microsoft Partner that focuses on budgeting and forecasting solutions. VCG developed a web based product for Political Data, Inc. that transformed how they deliver their services to their customers. Prior to the product development effort with VCG, Political Data would take orders via phone and fax, and then process very large orders over multiple days to deliver voter data to California Campaigns.
After completion of the Online Campaign Center, Political Data customers now have a web interface to create their own orders in real-time for online delivery. The change has meant a dramatic increase in profitability and productivity for Political Data.
VCG also completed a complete redesign of Political Data's online marketing web site to better promote the Online Campaign Center and other products and tools offered by the company.

Emergency Services Marketing Corporation (ESMC) is dedicated to reducing this critical response time that legacy dispatch systems have to respond to emergency situations. By creating an application that can directly correlate the nature of the emergency with the proper personnel without the need for multiple communication avenues being opened up, directly reduces the response time.
VCG consultants developed a comprehensive domain model, Application Wizard, Save Search Feature, and Application Integrations for Peoplesoft, Legacy Jobs Database, CRM Interface and a Document Management System.
One of the key business requirements of this site is that it supports a very complex application process. Our solution was to develop an application wizard framework to support multiple application types and leverage CSS for easy UI re-facing. VCG worked closely with the company to create VPA 2.0, which included an enhanced public website, a user friendly leave intake system, a robust employer data management solution, and an empowering content management system. The goal of the project was to streamline the processes for all stakeholders, both internal and external, through a dynamic, intuitive and professional online interface. The site contains four main sections: internet, intake, extranet, and internal administration. The internet section covers the public facing website and what is to become VPA’s new marketing tool.

Imagistic engaged VCG to provide software design and development services to deliver the next-generation web platform for PictureArts, a leading stock photography web site. This design created a unified platform for various in-house brands to deliver and support its content, each independently. The site was designed to compete with the leading site in the field, Getty Images.
Venice Consulting Group developed a custom web site for the Tourism Authority of Thailand. The new web site provides prospective visitors with information about the Thailand region with a specific focus on the natural beauty and cultural significance of the area, and also allows visitors to plan and book their entire trip through the site.
VCG implemented Ektron v6 Content Management System in a Microsoft .NET-based application environment, which will allow TAT and their partners to manage all aspects of the web site content, as well as a travel booking engine which provides integrated booking capabilities to allow prospective visitors to plan and book their trips through the new site.
Venice Consulting Group completed the second generation of the Central Scoring System (CSS) for FOX Sports. CSS is used to retrieve scoreboard information from each stadium during game days when NFL and MLB are broadcasted from FOX. The system provides up to the second scoring information to several applications at Fox, including information that is displayed on air.
GoTV Networks is the first made-for-mobile television network and studio group that is changing the way people use their wireless phones. They create on-demand television programming customized to the mobile experience. Their on-demand model lets the consumer select and watch up-to-the-minute news, sports, entertainment, and other compelling content.
VCG built GoTV’s internet point of presence web site that is fully integrated with Alfesco, an Open Source Content Management System. VCG’s creative team helped design the look and feel of the site as well as custom Flash controls providing a truly interactive and attractive site.
VCG consultants worked with the client team to implement custom content management system that interfaced with hundreds of record of labels. The system was a complete workflow that managed content ingestion (encode digital recordings with DRM, parsing and storing xml metadata), data review, and publishing.
VCG was asked to support the Governor’s transition team to design a new look and feel for the several sites including the California State Portal as well as personal sites for both the Governor and First Lady. VCG worked under a strict schedule to match the Inauguration in order to develop a completely new look and feel for these sites.
The resulting site designs were delivered on schedule and delivered a great new image for the California State Portal and all of the ancillary sites within. An important requirement of the portal was that everything was accessible according to W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines for users with disabilities.
The Schwarzenegger team had to complete the transition from Governor Davis in only 30 days (typically transitions take 90 days). recruiting, evaluating, and hiring candidates to fill the over 1200 openings in State Government. VCG developed a web-based application process. This system processed over 10,000 applications in a 3 week period. We then worked with the transition team in Sacramento to migrate this data into existing candidate evaluation systems.
The final result was an efficient web based application and reporting system that helped the transition team fill the many job vacancies with the right applicants and on schedule.
VCG designed and implemented an XML Migration tool . Data consisted of textual catlog information associated with digital photos and collections of photos in various historical archives owned by the USC Library. The converter transformed different XML formats into a common output XML format, detected input format errors and wrote output XML for 150,000 records, storing results in an Oracle Intermedia database.
VCG developed the Title Order Management website for Chicago Title, one of the biggest title service companies in the US.
The main purpose of the application is to interact with Calyx Point , a commercial software to request title, then export that information to a centralized database and present it in a website. This automated process helps the client to have an easier administration, reporting and status monitoring of orders in comparison to their previous process which relied mostly on exchanging information by email.
The system communicates with Calyx Point using the web services technology in order to obtain title requests on real time and store it on the client’s database. The website gives the users the flexibility to choose whether or not they want to receive email alerts with direct links to the new orders and to see on the main page the amount of placements that still have not been opened by the logged user.
Exclusive Estates is a boutique developer of luxury homes outside Las Vegas, Nevada that caters to a niche market with a focus on high end quality and luxury. This distinction was imperative to the design of the web site, which needed to favor showing over telling. A very simple and clean design was a necessity, but even more so was an attraction color scheme, large and prominent photography and the same simple elegance that the brand conveys in thier custom-built properties.
In addition to the web site, a complete marketing scheme and brand identity plan was developed, which included the custom logo design and advertising materials.
IWantAnOffer.com is an online real estate marketplace designed to help people buy and sell real estate online. Sellers can list properties for sale, complete with photos, video tours and floor plans, while buyers can even make an offer or negotiate a deal with sellers online. In addition, IWantAnOffer.com uses social networking systems to encourage interaction between anyone in the real estate industry who can join discussion groups, set up profiles, and subscribe to news feeds.
After a thorough envisioning phase that identified the proper plan for developing the system, VCG began developing the site a rapid cycle using the Microsoft .NET Framework including ASP.NET, C# and ADO.NET as well as XML for data transport. Instead of leveraging third-part social networking controls, the VCG team developed a custom tool set that remains the intellectual property of IWantAOffer.
Lee & Associates engaged VCG to provide an application assessment of their internally developed ERP application. VCG provided a System Architect and Market Expert to deliver a 20-page assessment artifact to assist management decision efforts for going forward
VCG team members in the roles of Lead architect and lead developer delivered a complete web site re-architecture and coordinated the development effort with both the client internal development team and a third party design firm.
VCG was engaged for the system design & development of a handheld (SmartPhone), wireless-enabled (WiFi) sales force automation (SFA) application. This application helps Sales Reps operate as consultants and sell more effectively and deeper into their product line while better anticipating their client’s needs.
The improvement crossed 155 national sales representatives that were able to more accurately sell into their 30,000 item product line. Instead of merely offering the main 50 items they knew, the sales team was able to use this expert system to sell as a consultant.
VocaDuku: An Educational Game, iPhone App
VCG’s first iPhone application is a fun and educational twist on the ever-popular Suduko game.
A player is given the standard 9-by-9 Sudoku grid comprised of 9 “mini” grids peppered with empty spaces that must be filled in individually with numbers 1 through 9, making sure that each number is filled in correctly once per row, column, and “mini” grid.
In VocaDoku, however, a player must answer a vocabulary question first before he or she has the chance to insert a number on the grid. Now, here’s the challenge: these are words you would find on the SAT, ACT, and GRE. The game has been designed to be completely configurable to handle new Sudoku games and more SAT type questions easily and frequently.
Team One, a division of Saatchi & Saatchi, is an international full service advertising agency whose customers include Proctor & Gamble, The Ritz-Carlton, and Lexus. TeamOne envisioned an innovative approach to viral marketing that included the use of an interactive photo-mosaic. VCG worked with Team One on this innovative and aggressive campaign to support the launch of the all new 2006 Lexus IS luxury sports sedan. VCG and Team One collaborated to develop a site specifically for the new automobile (www.TheNewIS.com) that includes ground breaking application of technology to accomplish Lexus’ marketing goals.
Together, we took an automobile advertising campaign to another dimension altogether – to the world’s largest digital billboard, the Reuters sign in Times Square.
VCG completed the Interactive Production and Content Management System Implementation for zapworld.com. ZAP! is a worldwide leader in advanced transportation including electric cars, hybrid vehicles, and electric bicycles. To complete this project VCG implemented the Ektron CMS 400.net Content Management System, designed and developed Flash movies, and executed the creative design ZAP had completed internally.
We also integrated with the Storefront.NET commerce package to deliver commerce functionality that is tightly integrated with the CMS for ease of product management. The resulting system enables ZAP to more effectively control their online communications, engage in outbound campaigns that focus on the most current web content, and monetize the customer relationship through online purchasing.

Houlihan Lokey engaged VCG to develop the portal, which features a clean interface along with integrated Web 2.0 features to personalize the user experience on an individual level. Visitors to their homepage now have a quick and easy way to access relevant information.
One of the largest and oldest entertainment unions in the world, the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA) worked with VCG to design and develop a powerful new web portal that harnesses the the latest technologies on the web.
The new portal offers AFTRA's 80,000 members access to all of the union's resources -- from insurance information to industry news -- through the most cutting-edge technology.
VCG worked with the California Endowment to provide technical design and implementation for their new site at www.calendow.org. This site uses theEktron CMS 400.net Content Management System to provide web based What You See is What You Get (WYSIWIG) content management tools for the California Endowment’s users. VCG was brought in for our subject matter expertise in Ektron and web content management.
We worked closely with the CalEndow internal team on the project and created some interesting customizations of the Ektron environment including a unique custom search feature to allow site visitors to search across multiple domains to which The California Endowment has access. The end result was a cleaner, better designed site that delivered leading content management tools to enable CalEndow to provide timely information to their user community.
The Ohio State Bar Association (OSBA), founded in 1880, is a voluntary professional association of roughly 30,000 members that interact and collaborate in various ways every day. Desiring to take this collaboration to the next level, OSBA worked with VCG to create the ultimate web portal usingMicrosoft SharePoint to become an indispensible daily resource for its members and the public in general.
The new portal features personalization services to deliver real time information that is most pertinent to various role types in their user base including news feeds, Casemaker legal research tools, publications, litigation and legislative tools, informative blogs, podcasts and more. In addition, personal profiles allow each member to not only create their own personal work space but collborate with team mates on documents, discussions and legal precedents in real time from different offices. Members are also able to use the site to pay dues, keep up-to-date and register to Legal Education courses, committee meetings and local events that directly pertain to their area of expertise. Non-members can use the site to find specific lawyers, research legal news stories moments after they are released and read OSBA-related publications previously only available in print.
VCG was engaged to build a main product for City Mint. This iPhone app allows the user to get full menus and options from their favorite local restaurants and send in food orders. The app uses the iPhone’s GPS system for location-based awareness. It’s time-sensitive and only shows restaurants that are open. The app can order food for pick-up or delivery. It also has locations mapped and Yelp reviews. All of this and the app processes the users credit card so the order is complete on arrival.
VCG developed the user interface, navigation and integration of the entire app. This app is VCG’s first in true e-Commerce on the iPhone platform.
