Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the owner of Actnet Solutions, an IT services provider that provides custom software and mobile app development services. We also provide cybersecurity solutions. 

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Vacnic IT Solution?

When we hired Vacnic IT Solution, we were a startup — it was our first year in the business. We needed to set up an online presence for our company and execute basic digital marketing. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Vacnic IT Solution provided us with digital marketing services. First, they developed our website using WordPress using the Elementor Pro page builder. Our site needed custom coding, which they did using React.js. For that project, we provided them with a brief that included information about how we wanted the site to look, example sites from our competitors, and our goals. 

We didn’t need any complex functionalities on the site; we just needed the contact form integrated into the site. Vacnic IT Solution also added a function, constructed using React.js, where users could enter information about the services they wanted. Then users would receive information on whether or not our company would be a good fit for them. It also generated a quote. We did all the hosting ourselves, but Vacnic IT Solution did offer some maintenance. 

Then, Vacnic IT Solution dived into our digital marketing. Our in-house marketing team had already done market research into how to market our services. However, that team wasn’t as skilled at executing Google Ads campaigns, so we outsourced that function to Vacnic IT Solution. We provided Vacnic IT Solution with all the keywords and copy to add to the ads. Then, they added some lead forms to the landing pages. The Google Ads campaigns ran on an irregular basis. 

What is the team composition?

I was only in contact with one teammate from Vacnic IT Solution, who I believe was the owner. 

How did you come to work with Vacnic IT Solution?

I found them through Upwork. My partner and I posted a job description on that site, and then Vacnic IT Solution reached out to us with a proposal and their portfolio. After looking at their portfolio, which highlighted the projects that were similar to ours, we decided to hire them. 

How much have you invested with them?

We started by investing around $1,800 in the website project. The PPC services, not including the advertising spend we invested, cost around $6,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

This partnership was from December 2019–January 2022. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We ran several campaigns over our two-year partnership with Vacnic IT Solution, most of which were successful. We yielded a positive ROI, even though some of the campaigns didn’t work as well as we wished. The leads we got from those campaigns were also very good, and some converted into sales. 

How did Vacnic IT Solution perform from a project management standpoint?

In general, their team met deadlines. However,  Vacnic IT Solution occasionally had trouble meeting deadlines when creating landing pages for the PPC ads. We wanted to run ads using a specific landing page for a particular service, but Vacnic IT Solution wasn’t always able to adhere to their 36-hour timeline.

We usually communicated with Vacnic IT Solution through Slack, where we also exchanged materials. Outside of that channel, we exchanged phone calls and emails; we also had Zoom or Google Meet videoconferences. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Vacnic IT Solution was extremely knowledgeable about website development, especially using JavaScript. Whenever we reached out to their team with questions or wanted feedback, their responsive team would come back to us with answers backed by case studies or facts. That really impressed me.  

Are there any areas they could improve?

Besides the delay in delivering some landing pages, the partnership was a great experience. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Customers need to be upfront about what they want from the project and need to lay out expectations with Vacnic IT Solution. The more open customers are with them, the easier it is for them to work on a customer’s project.
