We initially had a great deal of difficulty in getting approved for an account by Amazon. This was the only time I was disappointed. I felt that Shoaib could have been much more forthcoming with the guidelines and how to navigate the initial questions. But that was the only problem. Once the account was created Qasim was great and very on top of everything. He handled the project and questions very well so were are pleased with Qasim and how he handled everything once the account was set up.

What was the team composition?

Shoaib was really our lead in the beginning with Qasim helping. Once the account was set up it was really Qasim handling everything.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have launched successfully in my opinion. I am one of several on the team from my company, so the decision to continue/not continue isn't mine, but that of my superior. A little background: I work with a very traditional company that doesn't work in e-commerce. Amazon is not something that they initially supported so it has been an uphill battle to get them on board. I think there is a future with this project and Urtasker, but I that decision will have to be made by my superiors.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was pretty good.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I think the availability of Urtasker is really important. I work in Spain, but do business in the US and that time difference is hard to maneuver, so it is helpful that Urtasker is 24h. Qasim is obviously knowledgable and familiar with American consumerism, as well as very friendly. That has made our working relationship really pleasant and productive.

Urtasker goes the extra mile to make sure their clients are happy. They're willing to be flexible to make sure they are.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Nobody is perfect, nor is any company perfect. But I think that Qasim and Urtasker are always aiming to please and looking for answers. There isn't a 'I don't know' response, but a 'Let me find out for you' response. I think that is key. We all work differently,

I don’t need SEO because it’s already in there when they do the listing creation and optimization.

They handle everything and it helps me tremendously because I have a full-time job on my own. Urtasker's work has had a positive impact on my business.

How did Urtasker perform from a project management standpoint?

We have a monthly meeting where we discuss what’s been achieved in the last month and what the plans for the current or next month are. We use a lot of platforms such as the backend of Amazon, Microsoft Teams, and Skype. They were excellent at meeting deadlines. Communication and understanding is good.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The e-commerce specialist is really good at communication and his skills are top notch.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Urtasker could probably give more suggestions since they are specialists. If I’m missing something, they should be more forthcoming. It’s probably part of the culture. Other than that, I don’t have any issues.

Have clear communication with them.

I am the founder of a brand offering products initially in the jewelry product category, but with plans to expand into other product categories, all with a focus on accessible luxury.

Because I am a solo-entrepreneur, I knew I needed to outsource the web development work to experts who know what they are doing, and who can execute on my concepts and vision.

How did you select Urtasker and what were the deciding factors?

I had heard of Urtasker from a friend, and had a chance to meet the founders and some of the employees. I saw that Urtasker is very involved in industry events for top Amazon sellers.

I researched further into the company, and was impressed with the founders themselves, and the way that the organization is run. In addition, I was able to feel from afar that the employees are very passionate about executing excellent work for their clients, and that is a fun atmosphere to work in.

For all of these factors, I decided to go with Urtasker.

We had a kick-off meeting to discuss the goals and objectives. From there the team executed on the vision. As with many projects, there was a hold up, and in this case, it was my manufacturer that slowed down the delivery of inventory which cascaded into a delay in product photography, which of course impacted the Web development timeline.

Despite that, Urtasker accepted the time delay (on my side) challenge with grace, and worked hard to accommodate those delays, and deliver a finished product as expedited as possible.

I had several team members working on this project. Some on the Amazon side, and others on the e-commerce platform. The project manager with my main point of contact, who worked with other internal team members to execute on the project.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

For me, this is a new e-commerce platform, it looks stunning, is easy to navigate, and quick to load. Urtasker was there to answer all of my questions as a newbie to the platform, and help guide me as I myself am also getting up to speed on how to run the operations side of the business through the platform back office. Urtasker was a great partner to me in that sense.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.

The team set out milestonse, and tasks, and managed updates on workflow through means of communciation that worked uniquely for me, so they were very flexible in ensuring quick communication. They were also very speedy in providing task completion, to ensure we met the target launch date.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They have a lot of experience building robust e-commerce websites. Their team was patient enough to teach us about the best ways to use Shopify, and they were responsive to our needs.

Are there any areas for improvement?

An area of improvement could be in communicating how delays on deliverables from my side (due to my manufacturer) impacted the timeline, so that we could recalibrate the schedule, and ensure expectations on both sides were reset due to the delay.

We’re spending about $1,500 a month with them.

We’re still working together, and this is going to be a long-term relationship. We began working together about three months ago.

The impact has been huge. I pretty much run the show alone, so having a team of people that are knowledgeable in e-commerce has been incredible.

How did Urtasker perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re excellent. I can reach out to them via Skype or chat. There are different resources I can reach out to at any time for support. They basically work on my schedule, so if I’m working 8–5, somebody is working those same hours to overlook my account, help with whatever we need, and complete assigned tasks.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their knowledge of the e-commerce space has been a highlight of the engagement, as has their PPC management. Having someone list items and then optimize those listings has been huge for us. There are always things that need to be addressed with Amazon account management, and their knowledge and ability to address those issues is superb. They’re multifaceted and can handle any part of your e-commerce business.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t really have anything to complain about — everything has been good.

Any advice for potential customers?

If you want to engage in something like this, you have to be patient and give it time. It takes them some time to understand your business, what you’re trying to do with it, and what you’re trying to optimize. You can’t just expect them to jump in and deliver results. If you give them time, the results are going to be really good for you.

I selected Urtasker primarily based on their skill set and the timeline they proposed. I reviewed samples of their work and really liked the designs they had produced for others.

We had an existing Shopify site that hadn't been updated in 3+ years. We created a 'wish list' of functionality that we wanted to add to the site, as well as a complete rebranding.

Things included: Customer Wish List Inventory tracking Social media integration to other channels, Amazon, eBay, Facebook stores to name a few. Once the project started, I was in daily communication with the Urtasker team, reviewing progress and offering guidance to changes where needed.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Our site is about ready to launch, so we don't have any measurable results yet. The deliverables were exactly what we were looking for.

They used agile methodologies to track the work. Communication was primarily by skype.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their willingness to make changes based on our feedback impressed us the most. Never once was I told "oh, that's out of scope", or "we might need to charge for that". They understood what I wanted in the beginning probably better then I did and were 100% willing to make sure I was delighted with the final result.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

None, I wouldn't change a thing.

I’m the owner of Mistorr Design Group and Michael Grace Gifts. We’re a gift shop that mainly offers gift baskets. However, we also have stand-alone gifts. We mostly make our sales online but also receive wholesale and local business.

I wanted a partner to manage PPC campaigns and Amazon administrative tasks such as shipment reconciliation and reimbursement.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Urtasker manages my PPC initiatives as well as administration for my Amazon account. Their team also handles my social media presence.

Additionally, they built two websites. One website included a blog and a trademark. The second platform doesn’t have a blog but has a trademark pending. During the design process, their team suggested different WordPress templates. I chose my favorite and provided them with copy and pictures. Before publishing the platforms, they presented them for approval. Their team continues to make any changes that I request.

What is the team composition?

I collaborate with two people from Urtasker — one for each brand. Their team includes a lead and a QA manager who joins our Skype calls. 

How did you come to work with Urtasker?

I found them through an Amazon group. While Urtasker was more expensive than a VA (virtual assistant), their experience mitigated any need for training. 

How much have you invested with them?

I’ve spent between $10,000–$49,999 on their services so far. While we currently pay $1,600 a month, the rate changes based on hour requirements.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together around January 2020, and the engagement’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Urtasker does well, keeping our costs low. My sales for September 2020 increased 174% compared to my sales from September 2019. My sales increased by 103% YTD (year to date). The only difference is that Urtasker manages my PPC campaigns. Their team worked quickly to build my websites.

How did Urtasker perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate via Skype and have a monthly call when we review strategies. They send a daily email and a weekly email with a list of their tasks and their associated time requirements. Once a month, I also receive a call to check my satisfaction with the team. They’re available and responsive, even weekends. Their team never misses deadlines.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Urtasker’s a partner that knows how to do their job well, setting them apart from a VA. If necessary, they’re ready to replace a team member. They’re knowledgeable and flexible to my requests. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

It would be nice to have an SOP (standard operating procedure) library to host all of their tasks.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

In business, everything’s negotiable. They’re a business that prefers to set a minimum number of hours to take on a project.

Urtasker’s service is very good. They provide us the opportunity to give feedback monthly and see if there is anything they can improve on, or if there are things that they can do differently. I like their level of transparency and accountability with the company.

How did Urtasker perform from a project management standpoint?

We have weekly meetings where they present me with the project at hand, where the product stands, and all the different steps to manage and complete the project. I am quite satisfied.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their ability to not only perform their tasks but also introduce us to new aspects of the business that we weren’t aware of in the past is impressive. With their experience and knowledge, they brought us the highlights of that. 

With their expertise, the team brought to our attention the things we weren't doing before, and they showed us ways to increase our revenue and performance. Urtasker always brings up new strategies and subjects to improve our business.

No, I have no suggestions. Their onboarding and communication were good. So far, so good. I am satisfied with their work.

Assignments changed weekly and daily due to Amazon's ever-changing platform. The team moved very quickly and was agile as our company's objectives changed.

We had a Project Manager, in which I had daily meetings. And then I worked with 1 E-commerce Specialist and 1 E-commerce Expert. I was fortunate the entire team was intact throughout our contract.

The different timezone was a challenge at time because our office staff was only available half the time the Urtasker team was working, but the reporting was very good so we could make the workflow work for us.

Urtasker is very professional and has a solid organizational structure. All members of the team seem genuinely interested in the success of my company.

Are there any areas for improvement?

An ability to contact Amazon Seller Support by phone. Often, email communication is not as effective as being able to contact Amazon support by phone.

I wanted to expand my team and grow the company. I needed someone who had experience and also had already been in a structure so that I know they would deliver the work.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The team at Urtasker is directly involved in our Amazon processes through B2C management and listing optimization. They helped me evolve those through logistics, administration, social media marketing, and advertising. Their team also assisted with the brainstorming component.

We recently started with trying to push our Shopify website. They’re working on social media for the site and crafting SEO strategies to assist with the platform’s rank. We already have the website in place, so their team is working on updating it.

I’ve worked with a project manager and a VA that works with Amazon. On the website side, we work with an SEO lead and marketing person. Additionally, we work with a social media person, and sometimes one of the owners oversees the website side.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Their team has contributed a lot. Since their work with the backend and metatags, we’ve seen an improvement in ranking for several keywords on the site. It’s still a work in progress, but there’s been an improvement.

How did Urtasker perform from a project management standpoint?

I’m delighted with their project management style. For meetings, we mostly communicate through Skype and Zoom. We also have phone calls and emails several times per week. The assigned project manager is great. We’ve learned a lot together, and he remains on top of things.

What did you find most impressive about them?

My two main points of contact were able to adapt and learn our brand and image very quickly. Urtasker impressed me with their work quality and how quickly they get up to speed. All of the projects they’ve worked on, from listings, advertising, and social media, have been great.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They work remotely, so it would be good to have someone physically in the office. But as far as what they’re doing, I’m satisfied with them.

Even though they will tell you who is assigned to the project, always try to interview that person first. Having a little more contact before bringing them on is beneficial.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They helped me with every aspect of my business, from finding the right products for my Amazon store to listing them and managing sponsored ads. They’ve done work on my website as well. Finally, they handle my social media platforms, SEO, and data collection.

There’s a lot of keyword research that needs to be done for the Amazon store, along with listing optimization, and picture editing. The sponsored ads take up a lot of time as well because we’re constantly collecting data, refining it, and targeting the right type of audience. They handle all of that.

Depending on the type of task, the team varies between 2–5 people. I usually go to the manager if there’s an issue, but I handle different tasks with different people.

I found out about them through a Facebook post and reached out to one of their members. I set up a call and decided we were a good match to work together.

I’ve been working with Urtasker in June 2018.

I’m really involved with my business, and I do a monthly assessment of how much money goes in and comes out. Urtasker has done a lot of monthly and weekly and yearly reports for me. I’ve been profitable while working with them, which is why I’m still with them.

They listen to my concerns and then follow up with me so don’t have to ask them what happened to certain tasks over and over. They have excellent communication skills. We use Skype and phone calls for communication.

It’s their communication.

No, not that I can think of. We’ve been able to work through complicated tasks together.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

I’d suggest trusting them. There are so many companies out there, and it’s hard to trust someone with your business, but I’d say to trust them. They mean well and try hard, and their communication skills are really good. They’re available even during off-hours when you don’t expect a reply. They don’t do that every time, but they do when it’s most important.
