Because I am a solo-entrepreneur, I knew I needed to outsource the web development work to experts who know what they are doing, and who can execute on my concepts and vision.

How did you select Urtasker and what were the deciding factors?
I had heard of Urtasker from a friend, and had a chance to meet the founders and some of the employees. I saw that Urtasker is very involved in industry events for top Amazon sellers.
I researched further into the company, and was impressed with the founders themselves, and the way that the organization is run. In addition, I was able to feel from afar that the employees are very passionate about executing excellent work for their clients, and that is a fun atmosphere to work in.
For all of these factors, I decided to go with Urtasker.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We had a kick-off meeting to discuss the goals and objectives. From there the team executed on the vision. As with many projects, there was a hold up, and in this case, it was my manufacturer that slowed down the delivery of inventory which cascaded into a delay in product photography, which of course impacted the Web development timeline.
Despite that, Urtasker accepted the time delay (on my side) challenge with grace, and worked hard to accommodate those delays, and deliver a finished product as expedited as possible.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
I had several team members working on this project. Some on the Amazon side, and others on the e-commerce platform. The project manager with my main point of contact, who worked with other internal team members to execute on the project.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
For me, this is a new e-commerce platform, it looks stunning, is easy to navigate, and quick to load. Urtasker was there to answer all of my questions as a newbie to the platform, and help guide me as I myself am also getting up to speed on how to run the operations side of the business through the platform back office. Urtasker was a great partner to me in that sense.

The team set out milestonse, and tasks, and managed updates on workflow through means of communciation that worked uniquely for me, so they were very flexible in ensuring quick communication. They were also very speedy in providing task completion, to ensure we met the target launch date.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They have a lot of experience building robust e-commerce websites. Their team was patient enough to teach us about the best ways to use Shopify, and they were responsive to our needs.
Are there any areas for improvement?
An area of improvement could be in communicating how delays on deliverables from my side (due to my manufacturer) impacted the timeline, so that we could recalibrate the schedule, and ensure expectations on both sides were reset due to the delay.

The impact has been huge. I pretty much run the show alone, so having a team of people that are knowledgeable in e-commerce has been incredible.
How did Urtasker perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re excellent. I can reach out to them via Skype or chat. There are different resources I can reach out to at any time for support. They basically work on my schedule, so if I’m working 8–5, somebody is working those same hours to overlook my account, help with whatever we need, and complete assigned tasks.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their knowledge of the e-commerce space has been a highlight of the engagement, as has their PPC management. Having someone list items and then optimize those listings has been huge for us. There are always things that need to be addressed with Amazon account management, and their knowledge and ability to address those issues is superb. They’re multifaceted and can handle any part of your e-commerce business.

I don’t really have anything to complain about — everything has been good.
Any advice for potential customers?
If you want to engage in something like this, you have to be patient and give it time. It takes them some time to understand your business, what you’re trying to do with it, and what you’re trying to optimize. You can’t just expect them to jump in and deliver results. If you give them time, the results are going to be really good for you.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the general manager of Intent Sports, a fitness and sporting good company that sells its products on Amazon. We’ve been in business since 2016.

What challenge were you trying to address with Urtasker?
I wanted to expand my team and grow the company. I needed someone who had experience and also had already been in a structure so that I know they would deliver the work.

What was the scope of their involvement?
The team at Urtasker is directly involved in our Amazon processes through B2C management and listing optimization. They helped me evolve those through logistics, administration, social media marketing, and advertising. Their team also assisted with the brainstorming component.
We recently started with trying to push our Shopify website. They’re working on social media for the site and crafting SEO strategies to assist with the platform’s rank. We already have the website in place, so their team is working on updating it.
What is the team composition?
I’ve worked with a project manager and a VA that works with Amazon. On the website side, we work with an SEO lead and marketing person. Additionally, we work with a social media person, and sometimes one of the owners oversees the website side.
How did you come to work with Urtasker?
I met Urtasker at a conference and started talking to them because I was looking for help. I didn’t want to train anyone, so I needed someone with the experience and could do the job with the proper guidance.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around $22,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our engagement with Urtasker started in July 2019.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Their team has contributed a lot. Since their work with the backend and metatags, we’ve seen an improvement in ranking for several keywords on the site. It’s still a work in progress, but there’s been an improvement.
How did Urtasker perform from a project management standpoint?
I’m delighted with their project management style. For meetings, we mostly communicate through Skype and Zoom. We also have phone calls and emails several times per week. The assigned project manager is great. We’ve learned a lot together, and he remains on top of things.
What did you find most impressive about them?
My two main points of contact were able to adapt and learn our brand and image very quickly. Urtasker impressed me with their work quality and how quickly they get up to speed. All of the projects they’ve worked on, from listings, advertising, and social media, have been great.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They work remotely, so it would be good to have someone physically in the office. But as far as what they’re doing, I’m satisfied with them.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Even though they will tell you who is assigned to the project, always try to interview that person first. Having a little more contact before bringing them on is beneficial.

I’m the owner of Trendy Together. I’d been doing e-commerce for the last three and a half years and built my own Shopify website. I also did marketing through Facebook, Instagram, and all the social media platforms you can think of.

When I opened my Amazon store, I started working with Urtasker. They helped me start it from the ground up.

What was the scope of their involvement?
They helped me with every aspect of my business, from finding the right products for my Amazon store to listing them and managing sponsored ads. They’ve done work on my website as well. Finally, they handle my social media platforms, SEO, and data collection.
There’s a lot of keyword research that needs to be done for the Amazon store, along with listing optimization, and picture editing. The sponsored ads take up a lot of time as well because we’re constantly collecting data, refining it, and targeting the right type of audience. They handle all of that.
What is the team composition?
Depending on the type of task, the team varies between 2–5 people. I usually go to the manager if there’s an issue, but I handle different tasks with different people.
How did you come to work with Urtasker?
I found out about them through a Facebook post and reached out to one of their members. I set up a call and decided we were a good match to work together.

I’m really involved with my business, and I do a monthly assessment of how much money goes in and comes out. Urtasker has done a lot of monthly and weekly and yearly reports for me. I’ve been profitable while working with them, which is why I’m still with them.

No, not that I can think of. We’ve been able to work through complicated tasks together.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
I’d suggest trusting them. There are so many companies out there, and it’s hard to trust someone with your business, but I’d say to trust them. They mean well and try hard, and their communication skills are really good. They’re available even during off-hours when you don’t expect a reply. They don’t do that every time, but they do when it’s most important.

In any given period, their team will update listings, monitor PPC and ad spending, reply to feedback and reviews, conduct product competitor and keyword research, and write copy.

We work directly with one e-commerce specialist right now.

Urtasker provides a weekly and monthly report that includes all metrics from our sales, advertising, and profits. I make use of those metrics in the work that I do, and they have proven to be very helpful. In general, their work has freed me to focus on the big ideas that drive our company.

They are really good at communicating and have delivered on everything they promised to deliver. We use a combination of about 90% Skype and 10% email to get feedback on specific tasks and ideas that we want to implement.

I would just like to see them add more services to their portfolio, but on the whole, I have been very pleased.
